It's still there, on Soi 7. Very few ladies and customers these days, but it is still in operation. I believe the food menu is severely curtailed. The old "tunnel" that connected Soi 7 with Soi 5 has been replaced by a loud, shiny complex of tiny bars next door that get most of the foot traffic on that street. You can check it out on YouTube if you want.

I'm not dealing with a wife situation, but I also prefer simplicity so I like the massage parlor route. Arriving tomorrow and I made a booking in advance for Lily at the newly opened Smile, followed the next day by a two-lady session at Aurora 33 with Sai and May. Looking forward to being back!

To answer the other question in the post quoted, the tip is not included in the price you pay upfront at the dest at these places. 300 baht if the service is good seems to be standard, but it's up to you.

The thing about Grab is that they have several options. The most expensive one is almost always the fixed price option, which often ends up being twice (or more) as expensive as the "GrabTaxi" option. When using Grab I always use the "GrabTaxi" option, which means you pay the regular taxi meter + the 20 baht Grab surcharge.
If there is a high demand at the moment this sometimes means I have to wait a longer time though ("no drivers available at the moment"), so if in a hurry I sometimes have to use the fixed price option.
The Grab Bike option is the deal sealer for me. It's always cheapest, and when inevitably there is a traffic jam, the driver can just weave in and out of the lanes and get you where you need to be. I can't say I've felt unsafe on one either.

    Riverside not recommended

Last December I spent a few days in the Riverside area across the river from Iconsiam, it wasn't great. I did convince a couple of standard massage girls to do FS, but that is not standard for that area. At night time I found one small area, perhaps 30 meters, where there were a few street hookers, none of which looked doable. One night I jumped on BTS and went to Thaniya and Patpong. The Thaniya area had a lot of pretty girls, but they didn't seem interested in an old farang. The Patpong area felt like scams, including one massage place where mamasan agreed on specific price/service but the girl in the room refused. It was not a pleasant experience.

The main reason I avoided taxis is because they love to gouge you with fixed prices instead of using the meter. This year, traffic felt especially bad, or maybe I forgot how bad Bangkok traffic was, which meant that waiting for a Grab was annoying because they'd be so close on the map but because of the jam, they'd take forever to reach. So this year we used a mix of Grab and taxis, like once we were leaving Jodd Fair and we just asked a taxi how much back to our hotel and he quoted us 200 thb, whereas Grab quoted 250 thb, so it was a no-brainer.

My theory is that maybe taxis are feeling the impact of Grab and in some cases, might even undercut them. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the taxi driver, but you can always do a quick search on Grab to see how much they charge and then see if the taxi charges you less, maybe even try and haggle. But at least Grab is an option now and you no longer have to fight taxi drivers and insist they use the meter.

Can't really find any details on Banyan Tree. Might you please elaborate a bit on Banyan Tree, I know it is a Hotel and probably has a roof top bar.

There are some lovely if expensive girls there, and some good bars. My favorite is Badabing.
I think the OP is talking about Silom and Patpong area and also IconSiam (other side of the river). Actually, I personally resonate with everything the OP mentioned and I have been thinking about staying at The Mandarin Oriental and discover that area. I have always stayed the Shukumvit are myself. Hyatt Erawan and sometimes at Hyatt Regency. I would love to hear experiences around Silom area quality etc. .

But it is quite rare (have gone back through quite a lot of pages) to see reports in Patong / Silom / Thaniya Rd etc. Is there is a reason for this? Will return in a few weeks and thought about a change. My go to is to stay on Sukhumvit (usually opt for either Sheraton Grande, Grande Centre Point at Terminal 21 or JM Marriot for ease to Nana). But I'm thinking of heading towards the River this time and checking out the Thaniya / Patong / Silom options. Would be interested in observations about this choice.

Yes, and I have positive memories of one less attractive girl who was an excellent performer in the short time room. Be ready with your smartphone translator app to chat with these girls.

Of course, deaf girls are not limited to the Nana Hotel car park area. In March I found a super attractive deaf girl on Sukhumvit at Soi 11, but her price was far too high so I moved on (3000ST initial offer dropping to 2500, if I remember). A few minutes later I decided to agree to the 2500, but by then she was walking away with another farang. You snooze, you lose.

It sounds contrary or maybe lagging. Economic pundits in the US say consumer spending is down dramatically during July and headed downwards in the coming months. Next year unemployment rate in the US may go up leading to lesser consumer spend and evaporating disposable income. I suppose Thailand is not far from all this, the next few months may be the peak and after that we will likely see demand go downwards.

Part 1: I was in Thailand during June and July and wanted to contribute with reports. This isn't my first time in Thailand, but this was first full on, serious, every day mongering. I'm in my 20's, European, I'm going from memory what I remember the most, this is my Bangkok report.

First stop of my trip I spent staying in Soi 4 really close to Nana Plaza. I don't drink, or smoke, or don't have any intentions in sitting whole day in a bar every day. So I found that street to be terrible place to stay. You have to be a really specific type of the person to stay there. And I'm simply not that. I spent my days exploring Bangkok, and nights mongering. Please keep in mind while reading that on the start of the trip I was a complete beginner in mongering. Also. I do FS covered every time, so If I don't mention it explicitly. You can assume that.

During the night there are a lot of freelancers on the whole street, some Thai, some Vietnamese, some African. I've tried 3 or 4 girls from the street. But I didn't find the experience worth it. I paid at most 2000ST for those freelancers, 1500ST for older ones. Every time girls where either starfishes or I didn't like their attitude. They all did the deed like we agreed Covered FS, BBJ, Cum on Body. Lesson #1 - I like some conversation and fun with girls before fucking, so I didn't enjoy those encounters. You can see from the lack of details how un memorable the whole thing was. Definitely do not recommend. I'm not sure what market price. But I definitely felt like I overpaid.

I read about Kasalong and Lolitas. And one day I went into Kasalong. And basically don't ever go. It's the most shittiest places ever imagineable. Simply don't go there guys. Ugly girls, ugly place. Only good thing about both is that you can come there. See that it's shit. And go have a meal in restaurants close by in Soi 8 - which are unexpectedly excellent.

I was in Nana plaza for 3-4 times. And I simply could not make myself comfortable there, I tried few places on second floor. And they were always empty. And at that point I was still too shy to enjoy myself, and every girl I called couldn't speak any English, and at that point I barely spoke any Thai. There is a bar on 3rd floor. Which name I forget. Which was always full, and with pretty ladies. But I never took any of them. All in all. I wouldn't recommend for mongering. Only maybe for special occasions, but to be fair. I never really got into it. Only highlight I remember is seeing Korean idiots throwing ping pong balls on the stage and hoes going crazy to fetch them.

I spent some time in Soi 11, I went to the bars and clubs there, but since I wasn't drinking at that point. I could not make myself comfortable, and never took any girl from there. I did take one Vietnamese older lady from the street, she had very beautiful face, and was great conversation, but her body and service wasn't that great. Still. BBJ, Covered FS, Cum on Body, 1500ST. Although I didn't score that much in Soi11 - next time I'm in Bangkok. I'll definitely try to play the clubs more. I want to see what happens or can I maybe find some freelancers in there.

I almost forgot to say. First thing I did after landing in Bangkok was go to Tulip, because of this forum. And luckily Goff was working. And that lady is special. She's definitely older than me, but has great body, and does everything I could think of. Rooms are absolute shit in Tulip but it's ok. She showers you, BBJ, face fucking, choking her with dick, fucking her any position you want, we even tried anal. But I was too big for her. After CIM she showered me again, and gave me one of the better my massages I received in my life. I paid 2300 2 h and gave her I think 300 tip. I would definitely recommend her, that is a special lady that works very hard every minute of the time you pay her. 2600 baht for great sex AND great massage is a bargain. I went few days after that to Tulip again. And this time I simply picked first girl that was offering herself. And that wasn't a good experience. She was old enough to be my mom, and she looked like it when she got naked. Don't get me wrong. I still fucked her proper, but I want to forget that experience, I paid 2300 2 h. Lesson #2 Don't be a ***** and nervous, calm yourself down, you are paying and you choose which girl gets fucked or not. I recommend everyone to try Tulip, and make their own decision after that, but expect quality of girls look wise to be lower than anywhere else. Goff excluded.

Next I went to Thermae. And there are a lot of pretty younger looking girls there. But I didn't get that much action. I was still nervous and not confident walking in such tight space and with so many girls. I was looking for girls that look at me and smile, but very few did. I did approach 3-4 Korean looking girls, and they all looked uninterested and asked for 5000ST. Which I understood as fuck-off-farang-price. I did take one special girl, she keeps very good care of herself, goes to gym, speaks great english. And is actually great conversation. I paid her 3000ST. I took her next day after that as well, and next time I was in BKK for 1 night. I called her incall on Line. She is definitely in my top 3 girls I fucked in Thailand. She is fun, great body, fun sex, had a great conversation about life. I recommend Thermae. But next time I'm in BKK. I'll have to be more confident while walking around Thermae. And talk to more girls there.

Most of my time I spent in Soi Cowboy. Where I had the most fun in BKK all in all. I tried few different bars. But only one I felt comfortable was Crazy House. It's fun inside drinking. I even drank a few beers there. Which I normally do not do. Beers are 160 Baht or 180 Baht I think, and lady drinks are 200 Baht. Be careful with lady drinks. Depending on the girl, she will either tell you or not that she is ordering 2 drinks separate drinks - 1 shot and 1 short drink. Which means you pay 400 Baht for her drink. Most girls that I asked to come sit with me. Told me straight up about that, only one did not, you can read about her below. I paid everytime they brought me drinks. I recommend everyone to do the same. Also if your drink is empty. You are expected to buy another, waitresses will give you shit to buy another one. Because seating real estate is scarce. In total I fucked 3 girls from Crazy House. Barfine is 700, and all girls asked for 4000ST, but I paid either 3000ST or 3500ST depending on the girl. I took them to short time room at the entrance to Soi Cowboy. Next to 7/11, room is 350, but you buy 2 waters so it's 400 baht in total room. 2 of those 3 girls gave me great GFE experience, but no CIM. Third girl was a total *****, and I regret spending so much money on her. All 3 were really young and really pretty faces and great bodies. If money wasn't a thing I would be there every day, because some of them are absolute stunners. But money is a thing. So idk, make your own judgements based on your financial status, but definitely try at least once. Just make to sure to understand that after they are done with you. They are going back to the bar to work more.

I never did try anything online because I like the feeling of chase. Also no MP. Because I want to fuck girls.

Next time I'm in Bangkok. I'll definitely be more confident and less shy since I know now more about the game. I'll definitely try to go to clubs more and score normal girls and freelancers there. Also. I will be more confident in Thermae. So I can find girls whose Line I can get. For repeat incalls. Crazy house I will definitely visit a few more times to treat myself. But it's currently too expensive for every day mongering.

Part 2 coming in Pattaya Thread.
