The other night, I took a shortcut to Nana. I was staying near Sukhumvit Soi 8, so I went the back way pass Loiltas, through Soi 6 alley, in order to reach Soi 4. In my experience that happened only very few times that Thais started saying things about me and I've never met any girl talking like they did in that story (when they really want to do it, they do it in Essaan language, not in Thai) , most of the time there is nothing interesting to hear from them when they talk together. If it's the only reason you want to learn Thai, it's not worth the effort and the time spent.

These guys are some of the worst type that a foreigner can meet in Thailand. Their business is to f*ck foreigners up and to disappear, my advice is to stay as far as possible from them.

Disappointing getting to this place wasn't better monitored. When you left to go home you must have passed some landmarks of note.

I realize its dark at 10 but Bangkok even the smaller soi's are pretty well lit at night.

Even the approximate vicinity would be helpful. I know the Silom Sathorn area well, and with the cool electric blue display at the door with red eyes I'm pretty sure I could find it with a little effort.

Believe me nothing goes on in Bangkok or indeed Thailand that the local BIB don't know about. Trying to avoid paying "key money" would last at most a week and trying to could possibly [CodeWord140] them off and cost a lot more to stay open.
