I live much closer to Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza so I rarely go to Patpong but was curious to see what had reopened at this time on a Saturday night at about 9pm. The karaoke clubs on Thaniya Road had tons of girls lined up on chairs outside but very few customers walking by or going in. Even a farang like me got tentative smiles from some of the lookers.

Thanks for the Patpong update and more so the Thaniya Road update. Nice to see there's still a lot of girls there. Nice that you got smiles from the girls. Do you feel that you would have been allowed to take one of the girls if you had wanted?

Only bad point is that outside and inside they have many signs advertising beers at 99 bath but the bill was 150 b.

Did you order a bottle or tap? Those cheaper prices usually reflect tap beer. I would have paid 99 baht and let them stop me at the door.

3-4 go-go bars were open on Patpong 1 and 2. I went into Kings Castle 2 and a very cute girl from a fairly crowded stage made a beeline over to sit with me after her dance set. I was fine with that. There were only 2 other customers in the place.

During 1 ladydrink she agreed to what I wanted twice in the bar, including staying LT until morning for the 1,000 baht barfine plus 4,000 baht to her, down from the 5,000 baht she asked for. I probably could have negotiated for less but she caught me at a weak moment, looked great, felt great, agreed to my simple terms so happily (twice), went on about how I was her first interested customer since they reopened this past week and I liked her.

Long story a little shorter, after the shower and we were both naked in bed she completely reversed the agreement she made to me twice in the bar. A lively discussion about that followed.

She got dressed, I only gave her a generous 200 baht for taxi fare and walked her down and out of my building. I assume she just went back to her room since by then her bar was going to close in about 30 minutes. She might have tried to pick up another customer on the street I suppose.

I went to Whisky & GoGo in Nana Plaza just for a drink. Very little girls dancing (1-2) as every other girl (5-6) was drinking with costumers. It seems with just 1 ladydrink they would stay with customer quite long (the full 30 mins I was there at least), but the cute ones were already taken at 10:30 pm so I just did drink alone. Only bad point is that outside and inside they have many signs advertising beers at 99 bath but the bill was 150 b.

Outside Thermae after closing time (11:30 pm), I was quoted 2 k and 2.5 k plus the expensive hotel upstairs from 2 of the cutest / younger girls (I didn't try to offer less and they didn't too when I started walking away). Few days before a good looking but a bit older girl asked 1.5 k and quickly decreased to 1 k when I didn't accept straight away her first offer. I guess the best looking ones still have no problem finding customers. (as I left, one of them actually walked the same way with her friends to Soi Cowboy and entered Penny Black).

They use the same technology, but probably target somewhat different protein sequences, so if you took one for your first shot, and the other for your second, it might. Might give you more protection. On the other hand it might give you less.

Just follow the current recommendations. As the data comes in from actual use of these vaccines some of this stuff will become clearer. Either one of these give you great protection.

There is increasing evidence that delaying the second (booster) shot of any of the two dose vaccines may actually increase their effectiveness. The original sequence was just one of the options that the Phase 3 trials used, but they did not test longer periods because all of these companies, and the whole world, were trying to get through these trials and get effective vaccines. So up to 6 months is now being looked at, and appears to be promising. But not yet the recommended practice as sufficient evidence is not in yet.

Hearing some casual talk that there's a good chance a third "booster" shot for pfizer / moderna vaccines may end up being a thing to address other variants, or possibly instead just additionally get whatever the then-current J&J vaccine in additional to already having the other vaccines. Would not be surprised if in developed nations, in 2022 you may be able to just walk into a pharmacy and get the latest seasonal version. Not sure how this bodes for developing nations, they may simply have to accept whatever they can manage to get and get people to take and give free reign to tourists from developed nations.

Hopefully criminally charged. People should be embarrassed for trying to double up on doses while others likely much needier that they are haven't received a shot. The most disgusting story I have read so far are the 2 Florida women who dressed up as old ladies to get to the front of the line for their shots.

The story itself was hilarious when you see the pictures but what was even more bewildering was the fact that these 2 women were trying to get their SECOND shot when they got caught.

At least in Pattaya most of the Thai bars, discos, lounges, after hour shisha bars don't open or get going until after 11 pm. The 11 pm rule is possibly to control the Thai.

Nice to hear BKK is opening up again. Road trip time.

On a side note, some of these FL's must be / have been receiving good support from overseas farangs.

Had a drink with one FL last night who was actually quite hot, who told me it was only her second day back to "work" (believe it if you want). She was really proud of her brand new iPhone 12 pro max and showed me some of it's features. She also had an expensive hand bag, dressed well and was telling me about how nice her condo is, which for a woman from Issan, sending money back home to support a kid, seems phenomenal.

I ended up buying her a couple of lady drinks and had some interesting conversations with her. Apparently she has farang contacts all over the west (US, Canada, EU).

Didn't take her home. Didn't get a quote. Just bought her a couple of lady drinks (quite cheap) and tipped her a small amount for her time. I was upfront with her at the beginning about not wanting to take her home.

Some decent talent around and not many punters, but everything closes at 11 (apparently the BKK strain of virus only comes out after 11).

Very few tourists. Mainly guys staying here long term.

Cowboy go go's Saturday night, many closed, those open had few punters. The only watering hole that was anyway busy was old style music venue Country Road. The clientele as far as I could judge were ex pats who admittedly while not all mostly find the lady drinks hustle, bar fine, 2 K to 3 K ST go go scene a been there done that experience.

Very vague bud, nana plaza all strip clubs open, or how may bars open more then half or just the bar on ground floor, because I heard some or all open on March 2 or 4th, thanks for any information on! Stay safe have fun!
