    Great summing it up NicF

Thais are not raciest but very occupied by social standards. Have a few girls considering themself to be HISO girls. They are classy, beauties, work out a lot and have social security often with great paywell work. OMG they talk bad about girls we usually use for monger purposes. They name them lowclass people, prostitutes (even if I not tell them I make use of this segment of girls myself) and lazy crowd (not willing to work other than spreading legs and use some yabayaba).

But I am happy with my asian history as I do great wirh all in a nice mix from lower Beergarden standards to hi more Demo lookalikegirls.

    Absolutely RIGHT ON THE MARK!

Over the past 40 years I've lived and worked in multiple Asian countries. It's the same everywhere. Ever been to Japan to work?

I don't really agree with you here.

Many of my staff refer to Foreigners as "Farangs" but without being condescending or disrespectful. What would you prefer they say? That they call us by our Countries? (French, German, American?) well the fact of the matter is, they can't tell the difference.

Farangs are usually People with European Ancestry, They call the Japanese "Yippuns", the Indians "India" and Africans "Dam Farang".

Special? I would say they tend to feel superior, well as I said in my original posting, some levels of society.
I lived in Austria, and I can tell you the Viennese are far far worse than the Thais. Thais indeed consider themselves to be Cleverer than their asian counterparts.

Foreigners are "tolerated" and always have been. Living here, one must accept that. If you cannot accept it and deal with it, then Thailand is not the place for you.

I think you would be very hard pressed to find many foreigners who have lived here for a decade or more, worked, and speak the language well to agree that Thais are not racist and xenophobic. The longer one is here, the more apparent it becomes, and I think the sentiment is growing not lessening.
Ok, I fit that Foreigner profile but I can assure you thais are not Racist, not in the slightest. They are Xenophobic, yes but they usually discriminate by color and social status, not race.

Thais from the Upper Echelon despise the Tanned people from Villages and Farms whom they call "monkeys" and are pissed off these guys can even vote.

Life is still very good in this country, let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Don't be so sure. During WW2, Japan invaded Thailand from the south and Thais lasted all but a few hours.

Been here a decade and have not read any books from that dude. Don't see the point and don't really like Fiction books anyhow.

    Work? What's that?

Eventually, if you spend enough time living in Thailand you'll understand that different countries societies cultures have different ways. Whether you appreciate the differences or not is your problem. We can be well glad things aren't the same everywhere. How boring would that be.

I think what you mean by activate, is incubate. The virus either incubates in your body or is killed off, nothing in between.

It is true you can accelerate the incubation period by driving your immune defenses down, getting wet and shivering in front of an AC, but too many people get lost and think the AC caused it. FALSE. The AC only got in the way of your defense mechanism to bring it to the fore front sooner.

Fact is, in this hobby, people drive their immunity down by boozing it up which is probably much more prevalent than than any "being wet / AC causing it" hogwash.

    3some with couple

I will be soon in BKK (arriving the 7th July). Does anyone knows a couple who like to welcome men or any swinging club in BKK?

If you are such a couple, do not hesitate.

I give thumbs up here. In my regular fleet of girls I have thaibeauties educated in US, Swiss and UK (also in this short BKK stopover I learned to know one halfbreed educated "norwegian / thai" girl). As a serious mongerer I also like to hang out with educated personell at times. I enjoy the mix from low class 9, 5 BG ladies to rich bitches met at Demo and its like.

Just to be sure I google searched and it appears that the essence of xenophobia is:

'irrational or unreasoned fear of that which is perceived to be foreign or strange'

'fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners'

'unreasonably fearful of or hating anyone or anything foreign or strange'

I believe that Thailand is the only country that has never been occupied by a foreign country and the Thais are very patriotic people. In no other country have I heard the name of the country mentioned as often as the Thais' do when saying 'Thai lady'. Everything is Thai lady this and Thai lady that and even spoken by men. After all if you are in Thailand there are effectively no other ladies except Thai ladies. They feel they are somehow special.

I see no evidence of 'fear' or 'hatred' as mentioned in the definitions. I think the Thais just don't value cultural diversity as western nations do. They seem to prefer their own level of cultural preservation.

They don't seem to feel 'graced' by the falang presence (other than liking the cash) but instead almost seem to be saying 'hey, just because you left your own country for whatever reason and chose to expatriate fine, you can stay but you're not doing us any favors and if you want to go home then that's OK with us too'

Nothing irrational about that. Just look at many of the expats in BKK (especially lower Suk). When I'm in BKK I barely choose to engage with them either.

If they were not so xenophobic there would be a clear path to citizenship.

Cultural preservation? Have you seen how many older structures have been torn down in BKK to make room for high rise condos?

I'll stick by my original statement.

Sure I can blame them. The countries that were colonized (not the place to get into a discussion about why Thailand was not) are rapidly catching up with Thailand and might surpass them due to the ease of doing business and the welcome mat being sat out for foreign businesses and investment, ease of visas, etc. See Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Singapore for starters. Nope, reason is because being truly open requieres a bit more transparency than they are willing to offer here. The "old ways" of doing business just won't cut it.

ASEAN in 2015 will be the real kicker. Read most commentary (by Thais nonetheless) and they will tell you they are not prepared.

BTW, How long have you lived and worked in Thailand?
