    Maxbkk report

I do not live in BKK but on a recent trip ,6 days, I would pretty much agree with this report. Especially with respect to the services. If there is a keeper at an open shop, she is probably only available by appointment. I had 4 sessions, 2 appointment 2 just going with my gut feeling at the moment. All not up to old standards. Even Doki Doki. They say the cure for high prices is high prices, people see money can be made so more is produced bring supplies up and prices down. But I find it hard to see poor service being the cure for poor service.

    Realistic review from ground zero

e eerily quiet. You can get a seat on the BTS in rush hour. There are no tourists here at all.

Thailand is in a holding pattern. I would not jump on a plane right now and expect everything to jump back to normal in weeks. It is going to be a slow build and most people are in a wait and see mode. I think you would have to be very optimistic in wishing to see bars / gogos and soapies open in December, I would think this is maybe a 10% chances. Some time early next year would be a more realistic time scale.
Dear bro, thanks, keep updating, as and when you give nod, I would book my flight and hotel, thanks once again.

    Bangkok Opening

I Posted the following in another section. I live in Bangkok, so it is pertaining mostly to BKK. Please note this is just my opinion, no one knows what will exactly happen.

For anyone else here it would be good to hear their views too.

As I did state below, unless you are in Thailand or have been here you really won't comprehend how devastated the tourist areas are. Thailand normally gets 40 million visitors a year. This year they have had maybe 100,000. So you can imagine how businessed that rely solely on international visitors have shut.

    -repost from another section-.

There is no sign of life yet for the big soapies or gogos. I don't see them opening until early 2022.

I think everyone is waiting to see what happens in November as far as how many tourists come in. If there is no big spike in cases they will look to open up bars and entertainment places at a later stage.

You can see a little more activity from normal businesses in the tourist areas in anticipation of arrivals. However most business have been shut for 1 1/2 years and many completely gone. The ones that remain are hanging on by a thread so they are very cautious about spending money until they can see the demand arriving. Every time they open and then shut it costs money. Think burning cash 18 months. No cash is left. The first priority is to get normal activity going. Enterntainment and bars will be the last to open.

Having said all of this. There are many oilies open, albiet with a skeleton staff and are quite tragic at the moment. If tourist numbers start to increase these places will probably be the first to get going and to start building staff.

There are also a few bars that have called themselves restaurants in order to get going. These places are small and nothing like before, not worth coming for.

Unless you are here you would not comprehend the devastaion covid has brought to the tourist areas inlcuding all of lower Sukhumwit, Patpong and Khao san. The entertainment streets are completely shut, it is eerie to walk down them at night. Completely black. They have been like this for 6 months.

Even normal things are eerily quiet. You can get a seat on the BTS in rush hour. There are no tourists here at all.

Not really joking about that. I have seen it happening with beer bars over the past year.
I noticed that a few bars on lower sukhumwit were open this week with not even a pretence that they served foot. Perhaps a bowl of potatoe chips on the bar counts.

Maybe they will just put up a "grab food" sign on the bar as a means to order food with your beer.

Do Some Diva Hotties or Olina

    Is it worth it? Hmmm.
Not the Thai bar scene of course but there are amazing girls at Diva and Olina (Thai) right there in London at 150-200 £ an hour. One of my fave locales because you go right to her flat and fuck in her bed. Check out London thread or HMU on message for tips and recommendations.

But the reports on this raid suggest the reason the customers were rounded up and charged with violating the Emergency Decree and Communicable Diseases Act is because they were dancing in a confined space.

There were receipts to prove alcohol was being sold so the person selling the booze was arrested for that. But I don't know that busting customers for what might or might not be alcohol in a cup and whether or not that cup belongs to you or the person sitting next to you at the table is the path of least resistance for the cops to take. And that's assuming there would be any liquid left in any cup by the time the cops got to my table

Had I been there I probably would have had club soda in my glass. But I could not deny I was in a gathering of 61 people in an enclosed upstairs bar.

I read that a violation of that Decree and Act is punishable by 2 years in prison and/or a 40,000THB fine.

I wonder how many fines were settled asap at the bar "owners'" station that night.
I was arrested at a bar in Pattaya earlier this year. I, and the ladies were hauled down to the station on Soi 9. However, we were required to enter the station through a side entrance on the third floor, which required us to climb over a wall. That was the tipoff that everything would be resolved with money.

And it was. The bar paid the police, and everyone went home. But the bar stayed closed.

I watched an old GF do this. Stored in the spank bank forever. I highly recommend it and would help you with this if and when I am there!

Not open at the moment, possibly closed for good.

At one point in 2020, SOL opened up in a new location about 50 m away from the old one, but that didn't last long. At that time, they insisted on doing the BJ in a separate area behind a heavy curtain. Not nearly as fun as doing it out in the open.
