There are international conventions on drugs that have lists of the drugs that needs to be declared. For most psychotropic drugs the standard is actually that they must be declared at every border crossing. Whether they are prescribed, you have a prescription with you and they are for your personal use, is of no consequence in respect of your duty to declare them and do the custom's paperwork.

Actually Thailand is worse than that. In theory, you also need to have an import licence in advance to take in the class of drugs such as Diazepam, according to the Psychotropic Substances Act 1975. In practice, most tourists don't know about that and just walk through the green channel (which is a declaration that they have noting to declare). If someone wanted to be super careful, they could just ask the customs officer and show their prescription and in doing so they have declared it. When customs see that the medication is for personal use, they just wave the tourist on. Therefore, even though in theory you need an import licence, in practice you don't if you declare it but you could also find that the customs officer takes it from you. I have done quite a bit of research and think I have a good idea on where I am going to try for both Nuru and Soapy massages, and yes, recognize that I might need to spend a bit more too although I haven't seen anyone out there quoting more than 10,000/12,000 bhat so far for 2 hours, and given I will probably only manage 3 or max 4 experiences in the time I have, I am pretty sure I can manage. Consider areas where there are lots of venues, e.g. Lots of Oily MPs in Soi 24 to 26 area of Sukhumvit, so you can move from place to place till you find a girl that really appeals.

I appreciate the advice regarding the Soi 24 to Soi 26 area. I will definitely check it out. I am looking for a soft landing on my first night back in Bangkok.
