Which red light area will be comparatively safe for a solo travelers? Where possibility of getting scammed is relatively low? And also budget friendly.

I don't live in BKK but I'm on my way for my 7th time. If you're a male and in decent shape and health all red light districts are safe. If this is your first time in BKK then you'll be amazed how many people are in the same area as you, looking for the same thing as you. Sadly you are going to Bangkok at one of the worst times. Prices are high and the baht is its strongest it's been in almost forever, so budget is not something you really should think about if you want to have a good time. What I do is plan out how much I want to spend a day on "fun". I'm either going to spend it at a massage during the day or a freelancer at night.

Good red light areas are Nana, soi cowboy, soi 11. Soi 23-3 e for massages. Just be sensible. Don't get so drunk you make yourself a target of anything, specially your bill at bars. Don't argue with locals and have fun.

CIM, Every major Blvd in Bangkok has side sois or alleys named and numbered accordingly. For example Ratchadaphisek Rd has all of it's side sois or alleys named Ratchadaphisek Soi xx, like Ratchadaphisek Soi 16 which happens to be proximate to one of my favorite soapies. Consequently, you will not have any more problems with future google map quests if you input the full name of the Soi that you are looking for which in this case happens to be "Sukhumvit Soi 4" or "Sukhumvit Soi 24".

Assuming that Google unders the spelling, since half of these places are spelled 3 different ways, LOL. But for the casual traveler around Suk and Silom, your advice is spot on.

And remember Krung Thep is Bangkok. I had to help a tourist yesterday with that. Where is Krung Thep? You are standing in it dude LOL.

They are all safe. Whether or not you are the victim of a scam depends on you. Read the forum and use your big head.

I can't comment on budget friendly since to me, all of Thailand is budget friendly. Budget unfriendly would be a night in a Gentleman's Club in Vegas followed by a lovely session with one of the girls. That's not going to happen for less than $5,000.

Don't forget, that when you get charged an extra 100 baht somewhere, that's $3. If a girl wants 2100 B, ask yourself whether its worth arguing over $3. My god, I saw some Chinese dude freaking out last night at Pizza Pala Romana (Fairly decent pizza near Asoke BTS, not real US style though, the best is the Quatre Formaggio) that he was shortchange 5 baht. 5 baht! That's 15 cents. They gave him his 5 baht and right in front of him, I gave the girls 10 saying here, make sure your register isn't short and keep the change. Went right over the dudes head LOL. But he got his 15 cents.

Use the nearest Skytrain stations as references, you can find all the sois in between.

Nana BTS Station. Soi 4.

Asok BTS Station. Soi Cowboy, Terminal 21.

Phrom Phong BTS Station. Soi 24.

Google Nana Plaza soi 4 is there. Google Phrom Phong BTS or Addict massage Soi 24 is there.

For Soi 24, go the the main Google search box and search for "Bangkok Compass Skyview Hotel." Then click on the "Maps" tab at the top of the page. Soi 24 runs SW/NE in front of the hotel. On Google maps it is labeled "Sukhumvit 24 Alley."

For Soi 4, go to the main Google search box and search for "Bangkok Nana Plaza." Then click on the "Maps" tab at the top of the page. Soi 4 runs S/N between Nana Plaza and the Nana Hotel. On Google maps it is labeled "Sukhumvit 4 Alley."

Soi 23, yeah, it has some young girls. Haven't tried them either.

I remember quality was much better earlier this year till March, I don't know if it has to do with the tourist season.

Just right now (last 3 weeks) is the annual rice harvest. After floods, they had a fairly dry period, which may have caused some farms to have to harvest early.

If the rice gets wet during harvest they have to lay it out in the sun to dry. Otherwise will rot and get fungus. Ex PM Yingluck's famous rice scheme had problems due to rice getting damp when not properly stored, among other things.

Many girls go back to province to help with the family harvest. I have met girls in MPs and bars that went home to help harvest in previous years. Some farms use harvester, and others harvest by hand using sickle, especially if cannot afford harvester and farm is not too large. By hand is supposed to be better but labour intensive.

That is the only reason I could think of for decline in girls at this time. Laos (near to Thailand) and some other areas may have two annual harvests if they have plenty of irrigation water available.

A friend made the same rounds yesterday and had the same result. Nothing of interest. That being said, Saturday is the busiest day. Best to hit those places Mon-Wed.

Ha ha. Saturday and you don't state what time of day. Your timing might not be optimal. I do agree that the overall standard of MP girls in general is a rather ordinary these days, with some MPs clearly declining. I have not tried those shops Mitu, Orange, Hera, so no clues about the overall standard. I did do a Dream Heaven girl once this year. Just one had a hot body at the time (brown skin and slim hot ass). When I wanted to repeat her, she was not there. I think I went to Mitu once but was required to select from photos only. No go, and the only good prospect was not available that day.

New Massage had a looker on occasions. One has to be prepared to try many shops. Try 12.30 or 1 pm on a Tuesday. Ha ha.

Sure I have done a pass of several MPs and empty handed, when maybe too late in the day. I would then probably try Soi 4 street girls, but may fail there too. My favourites have gone missing.

Soi 4 has probably improved for standard of the best girls available, but just as many dogs as before. Yes its value for money if you get lucky and choose a good girl willing to make it fun, and body turns out not to be a disaster. She may not be the cheapest on the Soi. Thermae is a bit more costly, but also somewhat more risky for Farangs, if too picky about getting good natural looks (that is me).

I don't do LTs any more, well rarely. The price varies tremendously, depending on the girl. Some girls need as much as double a ST fee to consider it, meaning they don't need the business that desperately. They would prefer to do 2 or 3 STs per night. Some girls desperate or not busy, will do a good deal. Some girls just don't do LT at all. Have to get home to parents or to child or whatever. I suppose every girl is persuadable for enough money but that could be a silly price. Some guys will tell you take the ST fee and add 1 K. However many girls will certainly reject that as not enough to be worthwhile, if they can afford to loose the customer.

Thank you. I never had any issues when I went to thermae last time. I'm only 45 and in decent shape, so maybe that works out for me. Last time I went I did see some girls reject me to go with a homely Asian, but I know it's about the quick cash for them. I think I'll my luck at soi 4, and hope to get a girl that wants to sleep in a nice bed and get free breakfast LOL.

The fucking heartbeat is dead. Middle aged mothers with 60 kilos of bodyweight and dark rough skin to boot offered there. I saw 7 girls and walled straight out. I don't care if they use Nuru gel, an old overweight hag doesn't rock my world.

Walked on down to soi 24 to all the little shops and the girls were all sitting outside in plain view, not like Doki where it was all a big scam with girls behind a curtain and you have to pay before even seeing the girl live.

It's weird. I have never paid advance before seeing girls in doki doki. They show the girls and tell their names. You choose and then pay.

Service can be hit and miss because it depends on which girl you picked. And always remember, nuru massage takes lot of effort, so it's not like oul massage where you can do 5-6 clients with same enthusiasm.

But anyways, your experience seems quite odd.
