Hey all,

First time trip to Bangkok + wherever x 3 wks coming up soon. I am in the process of reviewing the last 500 pages because why not? I really do find it fascinating, although the COVID period was a slog.

One thing I'm not clear about is spending time with the ladies for things other than sex.

TL; DR: Why do people do it? I'm not implying they shouldn't. I am curious why though.

For example, I saw one rare mention of going out to dinner with TF girls (as opposed to the very direct "Here for ST, what's your LINE?" approach). Basically going on a date. Anyways, do any of you do this? If so can you expand on that a bit? What has been your experience? I assume you are still hoping for sex. How do you play your cards? I guess a part of me feels I'll be more satisfied forming some sort of connection, if ever so brief. But maybe that's naive.

Or "holiday girlfriends". I mean it's obviously going to end. So is it just a value issue? Less work finding women, less money, more efficient? Or is it the enjoyment of a young lady's company? I feel like it would be a slippery slope for me. It seems like I could fall for a young, attractive, sweet girl pretty easily spending a lot of quality time with her. Then what? It would suck to have to sober up to reality again as I know would be absolutely necessary. So if you do holiday girlfriends, what do you like and not like about it?

Anaconda Latino Nikkei Bar: Overpriced drinks catered to foreigners. The drinks were good though. No freelancers here. Maybe about 15 people in here, all foreigners.

Eden Club Bangkok: Absolutely dead. Maybe about 12 people in the entire club.

Levels: Your go-to club for EDM and freelancers now that Insanity is closed. Probably around 90% foreigners and 10% freelancers. I'd say to check it out if you have the time. Good crowd. Not too crowded but not empty either. Maybe around 100-150 people were there when I went. Client age range was between 20's - 40's.

Sugar's: Your go-to club for K-Pop and American Hip Hop. Around 90-95% foreigners and 5-10% freelancers. Way too crowded and definitely a fire hazard. Worth a visit if you like this kind of music but prepare to have zero breathing room. Skews toward a younger crowd between 20's - 30's..
