Mini report. I'm on day 2 of my stay here, haven't been to bkk in 2 years and so many changes. My first stop yesterday was to Soto 7/1, I RTFF and saw that Dr. BJ is now call Wood, same set up, but Thievy stripped the old wall paper that told the history of Dr BJ so that kinda sucked. But the real sucking was done by LaLa, she did an awesome job DT and she threw in a few gag jobs (I don't care if she was faking). Damage was 1200 b.

Afterwards I went over to Thermae and was very disappointed. I went in around 10 pm, got a beer and sat towards the back side by the jukebox. I keep reading that if you're Asian (Japanese), I'm Chinese but they don't know I'm not a Japanese. You're almost guaranteed success if you're Japanese. I sat there for almost an hour like a fly on the wall and not one girl tried to come proposition me so I just left.

2 years ago I went to Darlings and really liked it, it was convenient that there was a fish bowl in the sukhumvit area so I was excited to return. Sadly it shut down and not any mention of that in the forums! Still had time itch to fuck something, I went down to Mangos and told the mamasan I wanted an A+ girl and she gave me Anna, not much on looks but service was ok. Took the dick in her ass like a champ. A little expensive though, $2400, not what I was expecting. They showed me the menu and there was a separate cost if you wanted A+ which threw me off.

Here for 3 more days and I'm out of ideas of where to go.

Let me give you some pointers. First of all, Thermae. Don't wait for the girls to approach you. Asian or not, they sit at the sides and wait for the punters to talk with them. All you will get is smiles and nods 99% of the time. You need to approach first. The difficulties white guys have their are mostly over inflated pricing because the girls prefer the Japanese guys. I've never been outright refused. For you, I suggest spending your remaining days on Ratchada and your nights in Soi Cowboy, Nana, Mixx, and Insanity. It's a good mix of massage, go go girls, and freelancers. Mix it up a bit. BKK is far from boring unless you are on a strict budget.

And there is also plenty of data availble regarding Thailand's growing obesity trend and the Thais love for sugar. Boy, they sure love sugar and I can tell you, I witness them daily sucking down syrup loaded ice drinks and sugar coated fruit. As Mongers we are just lucky to get involved with the slinky Isan spinners before they blow out. May it be be this way forever. Sugar is slowly changing the Thai chassis.

I believe although am not certain that many Thai foods have a lot of sugar, although we often don't realize it. And rice, particularly white rice, is like a shot of sugar into the bloodstream. The extra sugar from sugary drinks, etc. , undoubtedly doesn't help things, but I believe sugar and other simple carbohydrates have always been part of the Thai diet.

On the other hand, food from places like McDonalds, with such things as hamburger buns and French fries, are also like instant shots of sugar into the bloodstream, and the increase of consumption of such foods has also contributed to the increase in obesity.

Will it be easy or tough to get a taxi willing to run with meter there, especially after midnight around Soi 11 just coming out from the clubs?

And will be a parking lot until 3 or 4 am You will spend more time trying to find a taxi willing to run a meter than the time required to walk to. Well, anywhere! Have some idea of the fare to your hotel / wherever and offer to pay it. Just FYI, I often stay on soi 11 to avoid the problems you will encounter. Good luck TTG.

Do most FLs do their business mostly around the lower Sois? (Soi 4, around the Nana area). Or do they also conduct their business around the upper Sois? (Sois 20's Thru 30's?

Yes, if we talk about Sukhumvit Red Light. I have never seen FL farther as Sukhumvit 23 where a couple Bar Carts are. Everything is between Soi3/4 and Soi 23.

Not to mention the extremely high maintenance that comes with any relationship with a Western woman. If you are not paying in $$$ you will pay in mental and emotional stress for sure.

My last Western GF, late 20s Italian girl (I'd just turned 40) drove me absolutely bonkers. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. I'd never repeat that experience.

"Coffee Lounge" is a bit over the top. LOL It was always referred to as Coffee Shop by my buddies. There was a Thermae Soapy above the coffee shop in 1991 and probably 1992, but probably was closed by the mid 90's when I think the Thermae moved to its current location. Originally was right near to the Miami Hotel.

The Thermae Soapy had a better selection of girls than the Grace for my tastes at the time. More slim girls. A lot of the customers were actually Thai and some westerners. I went to the Thermae Soapy New Year's eve party 1991/1992. A few regular customers were invited. LOL I was probably booking one girl a bit too often. I'm certainly not a hater of girls of non-Asian descent, but the quality of girls in the USA, at least from my neck of the woods, is deteriorating at a rapid pace. When I was younger, the mall girls were generally pretty cute. Now all I see are fat heifers manning the cashier registers. In two weeks I saw about as many cute girls as I do in BKK in 15 minutes. Mind you, I don't come from a podunk town in the middle of Montana, but a metro area with well over a million citizens.

I suppose it is the same everywhere with 'developed' economies and doubt it will get better anytime soon.

So what is wrong with the USA over 40's? I presume a very good percentage are fat, plenty are ugly to average, and there are not many models in this category looking to fuck us. Obviously the hotties can get guys of their own age or less.

Amen to that Brother NB. I live in and California where I am bombarded with online dating site requests to meet age 40+ broads some not bad looking and many with their own money but they still want my money. Add their high maintenance emotional baggage and you have a recipe for disaster. Better to board the long flight and don't forget the Caribbean and South America where an older man in their 60's and even 70's can be with a gorgeous 20 something for P4P or more serious if desired. There are tons of relatively nice (educated, non professional (you know what I mean - ha ha)) girls in their 40's and older in the good ol' USA dying to meet 50 year old plus guys with a respectable income stream. I run into these types all the time where I live in south Florida. They are mostly divorcee's, a few are widows, and I should add that a lot of them have their own sizeable, independant income streams and don't need your money or my money. But you can have them, I would rather fly 24 hours to Asia in a cramped plane to shag young, pretty Thai, Indo, Viet, Khmer, Chinese & Filipina girls and enjoy relatively inexpensive p4p.
