It is on the same side of Soi 7 leading right down to Beer Garden, which is still there as before. My impression is there will be at least as many bars in that complex as were in Queen's Park
Plaza on Soi 22. Maybe some of those spaces will be restaurants and not beer bars with available girls.

Yes, I have to say the thought crossed my mind where will they get enough acceptable girls to work in these bars. I mean, will all of the strays hanging on to the bitter end in QPP indeed show up to work here after all? Will they be spill over from an over crowded Thermae or those not willing to stand on Soi 4 and Sukhimvit anymore?

Those were the only places that appeared to me to have an over abundance of P4P girls with no place to sit or get inside out of the rain or heat. Otherwise, I have not seen a flood of hookers showing up looking for a spot to set up shop outdoors lately.

Which also brings up the issue of barfines. The spill over, crowded out Thermae girls, Soi 4 and Sukhumvit girls and the Beer Garden girls right next door are not barfine girls. They freelance. But I assume the girls working in the new complex will require a barfine as they did in QPP on Soi 22.

Then again, it would be interesting if as many girls that used to work at the late night cart bars that are no longer being set up nearly as much as before show up at those new complex bars. Similar amount for barfine, ST and such.

Yes, the space just before Beer Garden. The two largest out front are Rumours Bar and Lucky something or other. Soon to be finished I'd say. There appeared to be a small private party or soft opening in the Lucky one a few evenings ago but may have been the owners 'wetting the bar' even though it's not finished. Rumours is said to be the one from Soi 22 bar complex which will close soon (or later maybe).

No doubt the new area will impact on Beer Garden's business and for the few 'pavement bars' and street food vendors along the Soi. Could be the final death knell or it could attract more customers to the area which has been increasingly grungy for the last while. Maybe the emerging demographic of the area is not ideal any more for new bars. Who knows?

Last time I just passed by and took a glance at their outside menu a few weeks ago, I noticed the actual menu itself was freshly redone as if they had reprinted it, upgraded the quality of the material used to produce the menu and so on. I did not look for a notice about + or ++ aded at the bottom of a page, but it certainly could be there now. I wonder if that added Vat and SC is fairly new.

No, I don't think so. I remember paying extra in previous visits this year and last too.

As you say there is a newer menu now, but the linked menu below looks like the older one so the added VAT was there before. The website still has the older format menu online.

I bow to your knowledge on this if you have been there more recently than I have. And I might be thinking of another of the same owner's restaurants on Soi 8, Viva, which seemed not to include a 10% Service Charge on their food for a very long time. Maybe they do now though. Could have sworn Monsoon didn't either, but it has been a few weeks since I've been there. Their Chipotle Chicken Taco Salad is another favorite there.

Arrived in Bangkok two nights ago and staying at Ruamchitt Hotel right above Thermae. I picked Ruamchitt not because of Thermae but because I got a great price and it is one of the few budget hotels in Sukhumvit with a great swimming pool. Picked up two different mid-20's girls outside Thermae on both nights as I did not see anything I like inside Thermae. On the first night around 1:30 AM, the girl asked for 2 k. I countered with 1. 5 k and she readily agreed. On the second night (tonight) at 11 PM, I immediately told the girl 1. 5 k. She countered with 2 k but caved in to 1. 5 k. Both sessions were good but not super good so I did not tip them.

There's at least a hundred girls inside and outside Thermae. Competition is keen. Girls will take 1. 5 k. Let the Koreans overpay. The rest of us stick together.

Speaking in terms of a snow monger here, who is in thermae once a week, almost every week for 7 months, I'll pay what I deem appropriate for my situation. And sometimes that extra $15 gets me a freebie (well it's never free, but let's not confuse the cost of a dinner and cab fare with a more mercenary transaction).

I'm not sure what the previous poster used, but during this lengthy trip, I've had my best luck with TF, Tinder and Instagram. The TF women I met online before I arrived, so was playing the long game there. One was P4P and two were not, but they always find a way to get something out of you, dinner or drinks or both. Tinder was good to fill an immediate need, and I met two on IG who were part time FLs as they both had jobs, one at Hooters on Soi 4 and the other at a hotel. It's great that you are able to find nice looking girl for like 1.5 k baht right in front of Thermae. Whereas most ask for 2.5 k.
