Adelphi Suites is great! I usually stay there when I'm in Bangkok. It's location is great. Just down the street from the Nana BTS station. Clean and friendly staff. Breakfast isn't shabby either!

1 hour away is a bad idea, I would never do that. I am living near patpong and so happy with that, sometimes you don't get the girl you want or the girls ditches you last minute. No problem just walk out and choose another one, or get a massage or go to a gogo bar, there are so many options available that too any time of the day. Yesterday night I could not sleep so went out for a walk, it was around 2 am and the gogo bars girls were going back home, just picked up 1 hotti and fucked her till 4 in the morning. Thats the fun of being in thailand, you will miss all this if you stay out of the main action area.

Completely agree. And I'm sure that doesn't include traffic. There are 100's of reasonable accommodation options within walking distance of Sukumvit that are very, very safe. Also, I'd recommend you stay in the Sukumvit area until you get your feel for the area as it is very ex-pat friendly and safer. You will have no problems in finding talent to go to your hotel as long as you have baht.

There are plenty of AirBnb in the lower sukhumwit area. They will work out about 1/3 cheaper than a hotel.

Sukhumwit Road starts at the city center and each lane to the left is an even number soi, Each lane to the right is an odd number soi.

Lower Sukhuwit goes from soi 2 to perhaps soi 23/22 which is Asoke on the BTS (skytrain) There is tons of action in this area.

Soi 25 up to 50 are still good and many people stay there. The further up the sois to cheaper it gets geneneraly.

A condo on soi 50 will be 2/3 the cost of one at Asoke soi 21.

Each lane to the left is ODD, each lane to the right EVEN.

Stay closer. Find a map of BTS (skytrain) and MRT (subway) and stay at least near those lines. They are fast, easy to use, and a very pleasant ride.

If you're worried about escorts coming to a hotel, especially around lower sukhumvit, just don't. Every hotel there sees dozens come through their lobby every night. Usually coming in with a guy and leaving alone. Some hotels, you could just hang out in an elevator and hit on any girl "going down". Ya. It's that normal in these hotels. Those hundreds of women working in gogo bars in Nana and on the street in front of it go somewhere with the guys that pick them up. And, surprisingly, many of these hotels let girls go right up to your room door alone if you call an escort. (I made private arrangement with girls in massage parlors several times, first time expecting call from the desk or lobby, but no, right up to the room door. At the Westin.)

Is there a disadvantage if I get an AirBnb near safari world which is located about 45-1 hour from the center?

I find Airbnb lot more comfort to order escorts, and I don't mind relying on taxi or other public transportation.

But will it be a problem for escorts to come to my appt? I mean, other than extra money for the travel expenses? Do they charge the travel time in the time I order to spend with the girl? (I. E if I want her for 3 hours does that include the travel time?

Bangkok has unbelievably bad traffic. In some places, I have gotten into taxis going West on major road when I was going someplace to the East. 30 minutes later I was passing the spot I was picked up finally going the other direction. Not joking. It can turn into an absolute fucking mess.

If you want to try one of the massage shops, that's an hour in a taxi, on a good day, if your lucky.

Find a girl in a bar or a gogo, 20 minutes into the taxi she's going to get the car stopped to get the fuck out and maybe even ask you for money to get back, at least. That's just way out in nowhere, they won't want to go there.

And yes, I'm sure if you want to pay an escort to show you around, they will happily take your money. Don't expect them to know a damned thing about history, "compulsory" education in Thailand ends at 8th grade. Get used to sitting in a taxi with her. Any site seeing is an hour away, more really, from safari world to what Po or the grand palace, you're going to go to lower sukhumvit area, and than another hour (or more) past it. There probably isn't a whole bunch to go see out where you're looking. Most of them have little idea how to explain anything that might be of interest to you about Bangkok, or Thailand. Even common thing like Buddhism, spirit houses, etc. , don't expect much. Food they can probably tell you all about, but don't know any restaurants that aren't an hour away.

Renting an AirBnb 1 hour drive from sukhumvit

1 hour away from the action? Why would you do that? There's no shortage of centrally located, affordable accommodation. The whole point of Thailand is that you get out, and you're there.

Yes, being far out will limit your options. No idea whether some unspecified escort will ask for extra money, they're already ridiculously overpriced, so who knows.

Also, if by a drive, you mean no mass transit and just taxis, that's a nightmare. A 1 h drive can turn into a 2 h drive at the wrong time. Stay where you want to be.

I dropped by Nana for the first time in a couple of months. Things are definitely picking up, most clubs are open and there is a sustainable level of girls. Customers are definitely thin on the ground on the quite days like Monday to Thursday.

The ladies are now mostly wearing bkikis or even topless. Previously they had to wear dresses to comply with covid rules. They were deemed restaurants apparently in order to open up.

I observation. As there did not seem to be a ton of girls, most only quoted short time at the Hotel within Nana. I guess to get back and keep the club full. Spanky's was even quoting 4 k ST / 7 k LT, that is one way to ensure the girls are always present within the club WTF?

All in all had a decent time in there still not quite back to normal times.
