I just got back from a dry spell in Siem Reap, as is generally the case there, so I have been itching for some action. I too saw the large sign over the complex, still there, so went looking for it. I was just about to give up when the mamasan bartender came running out, "Beer Garden is HERE". Jet lag ws not over after my visit to Meet the World this morning; after a shower in my soi 4 hotel, on the road again, walked past Kasalong and saw a young and slim pretty lady outside between the not so young and not so slim, but further Ok ladies. Actually, it's still there (just like Annies still exists... in name only). If you go to the far end of the bar area, to the fence on the alley down to Soi 5, and look CLOSE, that's what the Beer Garden has SHRUNK to. A small horseshoe bar, Beer Garden sign above, with a couple of pool tables in front. When I was there last month, some other members of my generation were spotted walking down soi 7, looking around, rather bemused. Mamasan went running out to the street with a "It's here, it's here, this is the Beer Garden". Well, at least its tombstone. Another way to spot: if you remember the alter and the tree at the OLD garden's entrance? The tree is still there (though Mamasan said the other tree had been cut down - "for money").

IMHO, for jet lag, a better option is the MRT to Silom, and Meet the World on Patpong Soi 2. Ring the bell, rugby scrum.

Yep, Granny likes to put her own prices on the tab, but at least there's a tab to see. The heavyset Mamasan is legit, and you did get the going price: 800/ BBBJ / per lady, lady drink 150, Singha 100 (though I've paid 150). If you buy a lady drink, she will strip. Ringing the bell gets the nude rugby scrum. Granny will try and charge 1500 FS, but it's 1200. Word of caution: the mattress on the bed looks solid, but it does have its potholes.
