Slight over reaction, IMHO. Just because I guy replies to your post, does not mean he is disagreeing with you. Could be he just adds his own comments. I often do that. I have seen guys get upset for no reason just because I quoted part of their post to set the topic.

Yes you made it clear your view, and he tried to make "funny" satire, with "Do you think that those aging Westerners are getting by on yoghurt? But did not say he was disagreeing, or say something you wrote was wrong. When he uses the word "you", it can be interpreted as a collective you of various guys of the forum. So I don't see it as trying to pick a fight at all.

The International standard is that you do not have to declare prescription drugs for personal use but some countries, apparently like Thailand, get squirrely about psychotropic drugs. In the latter case, I would carry the prescription or keep them in the container with the doctor's name and your name on it. In the case of all other drugs for personal use, there is no need to declare.

As to psychotropic drugs, the law in Thailand is clear that you cannot bring them in without advance approval assuming it is a psychotropic drug that is let in the country at all. Given the lax customs procedures at the airport it is unlikely bringing such drugs through the green customs line without declaring them will result in a problem, but it is not out of the question it could if customs should decide to examine your baggage. In any event, your uneducated speculation about what would or would not work for psychotropic drugs if caught with them is just that, uneducated speculation.

For psychotropic drugs, even rather mild ones like Ambien, Valium, etc. , there is a routine one is supposed to go through, including applying for the right to bring them in before you take the trip, but I doubt many take this requirement very seriously unless one is doing something like carrying narcotics for pain reduction.

So long as the containers are properly labelled there would be no need for doctor's note or other documentation.

Soapies are spread around. Nothing is really close. Takara and Infinity JC (if still operatin) in Phat Phong are closest.

Map is a little out of date.

I would suggest IDA, or Sao Botan, at about 3 to 4 km away.

Most sex soapy massage parlors are located along Ratchadaphisek Road around the Huai Khwang area. You can either go by taxi to MRT.

Probably the ones in Patpong are the closest.

I suspect the reality is somewhere in between, with elements at both extremes. We are all products of our environments, and if Thailand had a welfare system and wages comparable to many other countries, then many of the 'ladies' working in the 'industry' would have alternatives and the 'opportunities' for farangs would be limited.

Love the reference to Cabaret Voltaire, one of my favorite UK post-punk bands of the 70's /80's /90's. Cabernet Voltaire's "Don't Argue".

I'm thinking about a trip in mid-February and trying to decide between Bangkok and Jakarta. I would appreciate any comments.
Lots of people still wearing black as 100-day mourning period will go the end of January. However, everything has pretty much returned to normal at bars. At Soi Cowboy coyotes have returned with revealing outfits and other Sukhimvit venues are normal. Thermae is the same Asian meat market. The scene there peaks this week with the Japanese sex tourists taking their extended new year holiday. Time to strike Thermae is Sunday after they all return. Only thing missing is that the cart bars along Sukhimvit have been permanently dispensed with the general closure of street stalls, except I see a couple have tried to come back as what I call "pop-up bars" with some ladies popping up some chairs and working with a basket of bottles. I saw a former cart bar girl working at the bar in front of Soi Cowboy last night. Otherwise it same same. You can check other public venues by their web sites. Enjoy Bangkok, AsianRain.

Does some street walker, assuming she can read English (a big assumption), have nay influence or pricing power let alone any incentive to improve service to a stream on one-timers before her shore career ends?

    No.
Trying to entertain, or be funny? Missed the mark. Contemptuous, yes. I did not read to the end so probably missed the main point. Probably the post belongs in the General Thread. Yes "face" should be bullshit in the mongering scene.

Everyone does work for money. So to say Thai girls are in it for the money, is self evident. To say they hate fucking strangers, is generalisation. They hate fucking some of the customers undoubtedly, and one MP girl Cat told me she hated over 50% of her regular customers, saying they were Psycho cases, yet she still was O.K. to get it off with me. She was capable of orgasm while working. Sure all these girls really hate to cum too.

On Filipina hooker actually told me it was a turn on for her to fuck strangers, as long as she felt the right chemistry. She refuses all customers who don't really give her a good feeling. I also know a Thai girl who claims to have never had a Thai man in her life and started with Farangs very young, later realising she could make money this way as well. Now retired but still likes fucking regularly.

Once had a bargirl who woke me up several times during the night to have more sex, with me a complete stranger (apart from the early fuck). What percentage of customers fucks are really hated? I have no idea. It may be large. Bargirls have it better as can refuse customers they don't like more easily.

If there are signs a girl really hates fucking me, I don't take her anymore. With bargirls, they can easily avoid you, if they don't like you much, and some do.

    On the concept of "face"

I agree that it is not wise or etiquette to share another forum with the girls, but then again, it is not like it is secret or hard to find with Mr. Google, even for for a Thai street walker recently off the paddy fields in Isaan glued to her new smart phone toy. More to the point, does it matter? Does some street walker, assuming she can read English (a big assumption), have nay influence or pricing power let alone any incentive to improve service to a stream on one-timers before her shore career ends?

    No.

Secondly, on face, strutting around bare assed naked in public, running off to hotels and / or and sucking off of guys in public is hardly redeeming or social climbing (let alone maintaining altitude), nor is having a shot of cum on her face / nostrils / mouth. Many. Or most. In Thai and / or other cultures would see this conduct as theéclassé and un-lady like. The same can be said for doing her anally or having her lick her friend (separately and / or simultaneously). So, this faux Asian "face" empathy more resembles a type of guilt of pretending to be culturally sensitive in bars that by their very existence are a direct full frontal assault on traditional Thai sensibilities. It may come as a surprise, but many Western men, earning multiples of local Thais, coming in, throwing cash around, groping and / or drunk and phucking the brains out of local Thai women is hardly debonaire, even if they are sensitive to the pussy power price signalling of two competing Isaan hos, but conveniently forgetting that the same hos are hardly the esteemed guests in polite Thai dinner tables.

I love these girls, and I treat them well, but please do keep a sense of reality when in sex Disneyland. Their golden skin and exotic charms / language does not transform a hooker to some delicate Asian high intellectual / sensitive being offended that that slobbering water buffalo (Caucasian) on heat chose their competitors rather than marrying her and sailing off into the sunset happily ever after with an orchestra playing. They see the water buffalo as walking ATM machines with no self-control at the whim of their pussy. As a fluent speaker of an Asian language, I can assure you that the west means many things, but foreign barbarian. Or beast. Is a common theme. The same is true of other cultures with cashed up peasant / strangers fly in / fly out and phucking their women, even Caucasian ones. Western guys trigger all sorts of stereotypes. Any of the resident western guys know it. A middle class Thai girl would be reluctant to hand with a white guy because of the risk of being associated with her loose sisters.

After 20 years of mongering in several continents, the more I see, the same it is. Girls are mostly in this for money. They hate getting phucked by strangers. They would rather just have a rich 95 year old intensive care to get married to or maybe a quickie before he croaks.

So enough of this "face" bullsh! T. Those of us old enough remember Cabernet Voltaire's "Don't Argue": you are in enemy territory, have fun, enjoy, you may even meet an exceptional nice girl who hooked for a while, but that's a mostly a Julia Roberts fairy tale. Long live LOS and LBFM's who have added to our lives whilst exporting a renewable, high-value added service to aid Thailand's terms of trade and prop up its exchange rate. Imagine the Asian currency crisis in the 1990's if there were no pussy to sell. They should be recognized as the "bare-foot" doctors (like in China under Mao) doing good by doing well. But, keep it steadily in mind there are no blushes when asked point blank for rimming, anal, threesome, BBJCIM etc etc. It cracks me up reading about "face".

I can see she is "raunchy" if that is what you mean by hot. The silicones have improved her tits that were sag bags before. The excessive piercings and tats would already put me off but she has a somewhat masculine face for me, with rather pronounced jaw. Looks LB like. No wrong, perhaps that would be too much of a compliment (to some). She is not as pretty as many LBs. Not the worst looking girl in the bar, but I can't even contemplate her at all. Even if she were in the Star of Light, I still would not take her. LOL

My taste is for pretty girls over raunchy girls, in this type of venue. Each to their own. A bit more natural feminine look for me.

I see lots of Farangs are choosing the raunchiest girls who often have plain faces, and sometimes straight non curvy bodies (other girls), and they don't care about piercings, silicones, big noses, etc. The Japanese customers sometimes are choosing girls closer to my taste. If the Japanese were really into surgeries big time, they would in Baccara more than likely.

    Milf

Red Car Bar is referenced in Pattaya for its clientele above 50+ with ladies to match or focus on us older guys. Any similar venues in Bangkok?
