I think the area that was previously called the beer garden has been assimilated into the wider redevelopment of that side of Soi 7 into multiple shiny, noisy beer bars. However, I recall still seeing a 'beer garden' sign during my last visit in December, so it may still exist in some reduced capacity.

Are there truly non smoking bars in Bangkok. Shanghai "banned" smoking inside public places, but many bars and restaurants installed large windows the open next to the sidewalk and provide seating next to the open windows.
