I have never heard of Random, is it new?

I read a lot of Nana bars closed, is Random a LB bar?

Random used to be where a ladyboy bar was its a new one. I can't remember the name of the LB bar but its right by the stairs on the 2nd floor right when you go up. I thought it was going to be a LB bar esp with the name "random" like is it a girl or a LB seems like a bad name haha. Its for sure 100% ladies.

A lot of the girls used to work in rainbow and other bars in the plaza. Talent as of a couple weeks ago was really good.

I always hear people on other forums say how billboard is the best gogo in BKK. I rarely see any youthful girls there. It's mostly the same girls now for many years. Then they expect really expensive prices. I think the owner of these gogos has done a really good job hyping his product online through forums and stickmans website to make people believe he has a superior product to other places.

Butterflies I think has a better lineup then billboard I still think it can't compete with Rainbow4,5 and twister even. Random has some nice talent but it is a smaller gogo but IME you can always find a couple real hot girls in there.

For what its worth, at least pre-covid, I have to agree Rainbow 4 is the best overall, as I've said previously on the sub. It doesn't mean you'll find your girl there, but across the board they tend to have the best lineup, though its clear they cater a bit more to the Japanese look and taste than other gogos. Its not a bad thing to start the night at Rainbow 4 to see what's happening there, then explore afterwards.

Billboard and butterflies are probably next, billboard club vibe is meh, but they have an enormous lineup of girls, butterflies has a smaller lineup, but most are good quality. Angelwitch is probably next in line here and there are gems to see there but its less consistent and smaller, but angelwitch is usually a more fun spot to be because they aren't blasting terrible club dance music, its mostly rock.

I applaud your effort to provide reasonable transparency, attempt no intimidation or manipulation, no game where you tie up the girl's time out of the bar in order to corner her into agreeing to something that an hour or more later she might feel a No response to could get her put out with less or no money and admirable consideration for her feelings on the issue of BBFS by asking for it upfront.

And your doing so also contributes to improving the Thai P4P scene all around, imo.

I think today, BBFS becomes a standard thing everywhere in Bangkok pattaya or phuket. Girls don't care anymore. Most of the men don't use condoms anymore and girls even don't ask now.

It's unfortunate that your experience wasn't as expected.

I would agree that the music can be loud. Every time I go, I'm usually forced to always have to position my head closer to the girl to sometimes hear what is being said during conversations.

I do still stand by my recommendation that Nana is the place to go for gogos nowadays. And I personally think Rainbow 4 has the best girl lineup overall. Of course, attractive qualities are subjective so what may be attractive for me might not be the same for the next guy. In addition, I would say that the weekends (Fri / Sat) are your best times to see optimal lineups as a lot of the top-tier girls don't show up during the weekdays; especially Mon / Tues / Wed. I went to Rainbow 4 one time on a Tuesday and was totally surprised and disappointed (like you) by the lineup. But as I figured it out, the optimal lineups are on the weekends. If the time you went was on a weekday, then maybe give it another try on the weekend (Fri / Sat).

Of course, an attractive lineup probably wouldn't matter for you if you're still not able to get past the loud gogo music atmosphere.

I also always ask BBFS up front and I'd say 90% or so agree without batting a eye some are hesitant and I just tell them I cum outside seems to do the trick. I haven't barfined from butterflies or billboard as for whatever reason the hot girls at these gogos feel they are worth 3k ST 6 kLT and / or don't want to go BB.

Is it some way of charging you for two drinks when they only get one?

No, they will get 2 drinks and you will be charged for 2 drinks. The scam comes in when the girl either asks you to "buy me drink?" or you offer to buy her a drink and she says, "tequila and coke, ok?" in a way that sounds like it is a single drink, a cocktail, some weird alternative to rum and coke or Jack and coke.

You say "Ok" to whatever this strange cocktail is she likes and you have just given her permission to get two Ladydrinks in one go; a tequila shot and a small glass of coke, about 175 baht each in some bars, if not more since they are Ladyrinks for her.

For the hell of it and to test this "the go-go girls are giving more now" theory I'd read about, I called her down for an LD. She tried to pull the "tequila and coke" scam on me. LOL. She also said absolutely No to Real Sex OR BBBJ+CIM with me with 2,500 baht to her sort of hanging in the air.

That's another good reason to avoid Butterflies and Billboard. I saw two or three girls worth 2 k for short time in Butterflies but none worth 3 k + 700 bar fine + 250? Lady drink + tinnitus. I think these two bars are just a classic case of people swallowing marketing hype. I also saw two or three equally nice girls in Twister BKK and will check out this Random place.

haha. I think between those two situations the 2,500 and 3,000 baht sort of hanging in the air was 500-1,000 more than what a moderate negotiation would have resulted in with those girls these days if an upfront agreement for BBFS had not been part of the deal.

Maybe I should mention that in the time it took me to type out that brief report yesterday I had to field 4 Line messages from younger cuter new dating site girls offering to come over for BBFS+CIP for less baht than those go-go girls' fees that were sort of hanging in the air, no barfine and no LDs. And then I had to choose the most interesting one and turn down or postpone the others.

It's just that I also like the go-go bar experience and choose to partake in it as well for variety and the fun of it.

I still get takers for my requirements from go-go bar girls in Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy at reasonable going rates. Not just from the dancers but also from servers if they are cute and charming enough to inspire me to go that way.

But I have not noticed it happening for me in greater percentages or the results in the room turning out to be better or in any way "more" now during this severe economic downturn than during normal times. If anything, it might be just a tad worse on those counts these days than during normal times.

Most DJ's in bars also act as an extra security guard in case trouble starts. Some may be 'connected' in some way <insert whatever you think the DJ may be connected to>.

Gogo bars aren't even loud compared to the nightclubs I used to go to every night in my 20's and early 30's. You know the ones where your heart feels like it's coming out of your chest! I loved it. The only monger club I have been to where music is too loud is FKK Mondial in Germany. Now that is some crazy loud in certain parts of the club. So loud they have free earplugs at the front door. You want loud in Thailand go to a real Thai disco. The girl is screaming at the top of her lungs right in to my ear and I can't hear sh1 t. The music is great though.

I get the noise problem not just in go go's but in lots of bars also. It's actually a health and safety issue for those working in these places and as mentioned it's not going to entice in the over 50 target demographic.

Maybe it's just an age thing, I. E. If it's too loud you're too old.

Loud music is the #1 reason that I don't spend more money in these bars. My normal process is to walk in, survey the situation, and walk out if the music is too loud or if there are no girls of interest. When I find a place that is acceptable, I'll order a drink. Will buy 1 it 2 lady drinks until I find what I want to bar fine. I almost never buy myself another drink. These places are too loud.

I wear ear protection if that helps. Occasionally you see a staff member with ear plugs too.

Do they really need a DJ with 5 customers in the bar? Why not just create a playlist on a laptop, connect that to the speakers and play them at a reasonable volume? I think the customers would actually appreciate the change and it would save a lot of money. But I remember reading once I think on Stickman that a DJ refused to turn down the music so the bar manager in the Nana go-go bar threatened to sack him to which the DJ replied that if he tried that he'd have the manager shot.
