I had a similar experience a while back with a girl from a soi cowboy gogo. I was so freaked out when I entered the room, that Junior refused to join the party.

Yes, the prices are higher, but depending on what currency you're coming in with, with how low the Baht has been and continues to be, it's almost negligible. Granted I'm coming in with US Dollars, but on average, Thailand is still cheap as hell. Especially when it comes to services involving girls. The only exception are the gogo bars. That has definitely gone up a lot, almost to the extent where I got to question if it's worth it no more. I mentioned in earlier posts, I think it has to do with the gogo bars themselves realizing that they can make more money with the girls in the place hustling for more lady drinks, than the girls being outside with dudes. The bars themselves don't care if the chicks make dough outside with the guy that barfined them, but if they're inside the bars getting guys to keep buying lady drinks, it doesn't take long for the bill to add up. When the girls are barfined, there's less talent inside and that's to the detriment of the bar. The bar fine on average is now 1000 BHT. It does seem like it's a measure to deter guys from wanting to take girls out. Some have noticed that this seems to be the m. O. Now in Pattaya. If I'm correct they are located left as you exit the Plaza. Hit a 7-11 and in that lane.

I've stay there before when I arrive late from USA. Rooms and bedding seem clean.

My thinking is are they capable of cleaning the room after each one hour stay.

I have not used the ST rooms I think you are referring to in a few years. Walk down Soi 4 from Nana Plaza and turn left in the little alley at The Tavern, often has girls sitting on folding chairs at the entrance to the alley, right?

And back then a couple of those small hotels had rooms that were quite fine for ST, as you describe. Some I could have booked for all night 2-3 days in a row if I had just arrived and was checking out the area. DiRoom or something like that was the name of one as I recall. Could be some other ST hotels down that alley are fairly shitty though.

But the room as described by the excellent Trip Reporter Mr. York sounds like the shitty ST room that I experienced once a few years ago near the Mandarin GoGo bar on the second level of Nana Plaza at the top of the escalator.

However, I didn't think any of those ST rooms in Nana Plaza were reopened yet and would not reopen until next year. At least that's what I was told by an idle maid or guard sitting inside the one more or less between Random 1 and the LB bar Straps a few weeks ago. BTW, that one had the best of the on premises Nana Plaza ST rooms pre Covid.

Otherwise, I don't know what ST rooms in or near Nana Plaza posters are talking about. Maybe some of the pre Covid acceptable ones went into deep decline over the past 2 years.
