In preparation for my upcoming trip to Bangkok, I thought that I might also check out Fiwfans and Sideline to broaden my range of choices that would include the soapies, parlors, BJ bars and gogo bars. While Google did a stellar job of translating and I could interpret at least the gist of what was listed, there were some phrases and / or terminology that puzzled me.

When the profile states 'Don't want cash', does it mean that the lady would prefer bank transfers?

Does 'can play poses' mean multiple positions or can we take pictures?

I have NO idea what 'can remove the cleavage' means.

I will assume that 'broken face' would mean CIF and 'split mouth' would mean CIM rather than an invitation for abuse.

No idea what 'disintegration' means at all.

Any assistance in possible meanings would definitely be appreciated.

Not too difficult to find anything in Patpong any longer because almost everything is closed on the main street. Here are 2 photos of how dead Patpong 1 was at 10:50 pm on October 23.. Standing at one of the only open bars, KC, looking both ways.

Rose Bar: Patpong 1. If walking from Silom towards Surawong Road, it will be on the left hand side. It's a 2nd floor bar with only a door and stairway on the ground floor. Look for a sign (over the door) Rose (used to be there, I'll have to check later this week). The sign is parallel to Patpong 1 so it's not sticking out into the sidewalk. There MIGHT be a chair or stool on the sidewalk to the side of the door. That's where the doorman sits who rings the bell to alert the bar that someone is coming up. It's hard to miss with the sign; 1/2 the time, I too miss it so the sign MIGHT be gone, only in my memory. This is an ANCIENT photo.

Meet the World: MY experience, any of the ladies sitting outside the bar work there, at least in the afternoons. Usually 4, my experience, but I don't remember a Linda from my visits (though they could have given me their Thai names, or she comes later). Again, MY experience, EVERY lady sitting outside has followed me inside, but that just might be my magnetic presence. As I've posted, beer should be 100, BJ 800, lady drink 150.

SOL: On Patpong 2. If you exit Foodland, turn right, walking away from Silom. At the FIRST access to the covered passage on your right, look; SOL is there (there's a beer bar on the right of the access with a stairway going up to the 2nd level on your left). Just a door (ground floor bar), with some horizontal windows (blocked out) to the left of the door higher up on the wall. It's just where the roof of the covered passage inside of Patpong 2 starts. Both times I've been by in the afternoon, there's been a couple of sheets of plywood over the door. Another old photo attached.

An easy way to find Rose Bar is to walk along Patpong 2, away from Silom, until you get to the first "cutover" cross-soi to Patpong 1. Take a left and walk straight. When you reach Patpong 1, cross to the far side and turn right (so, you're on the left side of Patpong 1, walking away from Silom). Walk a few meters down and you will see a large red cooler / fridge outside. Just past that is a red door with a Rose Bar decal on it. There's a bell you can ring or a guy sitting on the curb outside will run over and ring it for you. Then you can head up the (very steep) staircase.

For Meet the World, best way to find it is to walk up Patpong 2 towards Silom. At the first staircase to the upper level, on your left, walk up the stairs and then take a right. Walk a few feet and Meet the World Bar will be on your left. If they're not busy, there are usually girls on the right hanging out on the veranda. Generally, all those ladies hanging around outside the bar work in the bar. Particularly in the afternoons, there really are no other bars open on that level. Usually, they all follow you in.

If the bar appears closed / locked, fear not. It just means there's a fellow monger being serviced inside. You may either ring the bell or choose to come back later.

If you decide to return later, a good place to go and grab a drink while you wait is Shenanigans. Walk down the stairs and turn right onto Patpong 2 (away from Silom). When you arrive at Thanon Surawong (main road), take a left and Shenanigan's Irish Pub will be on your left (between Patpong 2 and Patpong 1). Generally nice staff / people / atmosphere and you can just hang out inside or on the patio. It gets fairly busy in the late afternoons / early evenings with the post-office crowd. There's also a Starbuck's across the street.

For Star of Light, beneath Meet the World and closer to Silom on Patpong 2, I texted the owner to ask her what's up. Apparently, there is some renovation work going on ("fix shower and change bed and color". According to the owner, the work is happening after the bar closes at night, so she claims it's still open now. You may wish to try it at different times, though, or check back in a week or so when it will likely be complete.

Kangaroo Club (Patpong 1) is unfortunately closed. There is no sign of it on the downstairs door, no outdoor sign, and no decal on the upstairs window. Like a lot of places in Patpong, it simply doesn't exist any more.

Rose Bar (Patpong 1) is open but apparently on its last legs. As you approach the entrance, a guard will appear to let you in, as before. He rings the bell and then you walk up a steep staircase to the bar. At the top, when I went, I was greeted by Mamasan who, as it turns out, was the only employee working there that day. There were no signs of any other employees, and Mama told me they left because they were "scared of Covid". Well, that had to have been 2+ years ago, so I've no idea what the deal is with their staff, but apparently they don't really have any, or at least they didn't that day. I ordered a beer and bought one for Mama with the intention of chatting for a few minutes before leaving. Halfway through my beer, Mama starts stroking me and whispering that she wants to blow me. I wasn't really into it, but it had been a long week and I figured it would be my last-ever BJ there. I let her go at it and she did a surprisingly decent job. Finished up, down the stairs to street level. I may return one final time to confirm that they really don't have any staff members (it's always good to check a place out twice, I find, just to triangulate) but if they don't, I won't stay. Meet the World Bar (Patpong 2, up the ramp). This place has had so many names over the years it's hard to keep track of: COB's, Linda's Place, The World, and now "Meet the World" is stenciled on the door, so I'll go with that. Approached it from the ramp and noted that a few girls were outside eating. They waved me over and I went inside. There were 5 girls working and Mamasan behind the bar. This was more like it. I bought drinks for a few of the girls, which made them happy and then we proceeded to get to know one another. It's a very hands-on place (think Pandora's in Pattaya before the new owner took it over) which is my main criterion. Star of Light (Patpong 2). Beneath Meet the World Bar is the infamous Star of Light. Like a beacon in the night, its white sign beckons to all who approach. It's just a small place with a few couches, a small bar, and a tiny restroom (no shower). There's also a mattress at the back, if you prefer. There was only one provider the first time I went, but more on duty when I swung by again last week. Overall, it's a nice enough place and there's no pressure / girl pile-on like there is at Meet the World, where you find yourself surrounded by sexy women and then before you know it your wallet is empty! I found both providers to be decent in the looks and personalities departments and who provided good enough service.

TLDR: Patpong area is extremely quiet, but a few of its most infamous BJ bars, besides Kangaroo Club, which is closed, are still around; Rose Bar: open but recommend you take a pass; Meet the World: the most / best girls and a nice raunchy hands-on time but hang on to your wallet; Star of Light: a good laid-back fun time.

Enjoy it while you can, fellas. My view is that Patpong actually isn't quiet. It's dead. And it's difficult to see how the entire area can be economically viable when so many establishments have simply ceased to exist and the ones that do exist are without many customers.

About six weeks ago I was in BKK and had arranged to meet 4 ladies from Seeking Arrangement. I did see her one other time during my stay and it was as good the second time. She was as close to a FL as I have had recently and while not as sophisticated, certainly was presentable.

This was a labor intensive process that took about 6 weeks total to arrange, but that was on me and to be honest was too long in advance. I think about 3 weeks out is a good time to start the search. I did have a few nice ones asking in the 7-10 K range as well. I also met 3 nice ladies at Oskar / Level that wanted 3 K and were worth it IMHO. All of them have other jobs and supplement their income in this fashion.

I don't blame the ladies for pushing up their prices, and good for them if they get it. I think many guys are embarrassed to say "no", I am respectful with them in every way. Stopped by Soi 7 Beer Garden today at 14:30. Certainly much improved from noon visit couple of weeks ago (3 waitresses, NO customers), but that's only RELATIVELY speaking. That's a great lesson you shared, and important for others to see. Though sorry you had to expend so much labor on dinners. For myself, with so many hot girls in BKK, I can't justify anything near 20 k. As you said yourself, the girl at 3 k ended up being great overall, and I just can't imagine who would be hot enough to merit 6 times the cost. I'm not even ready (yet) to go to 6 k for LT. I guess if you're on Secret you can easily afford the 10 k without much thought, but like you mention, the girls at these asking prices are too presumptuous to be satisfying by the time you kiss goodbye (if they're even willing to do that) in the morning. I might go up 1 k for each level of looks, but like you, I had FL in August (also mid 30's) that I picked up at Soi 4 music bar and by the time she left at noon I was fully worn and satisfied. She was very attractive. Only a bit dark under the eyes in the morning and a couple millimeters of extra flesh in the belly and behind, but the continuous pleasure (3 k for about 8 hours, with only a few hours sleep) was all there. Compare her to some of the go go "models" asking 6-7 k LT, and lucky to have had the chance to grip their bodies at Nana only to find how untoned they were despite nice appearances.

Dinners are another matter. I'm going to follow your example by insisting on video chats for any possible LT, but I no longer have the patience you had for all the dinners, if they're going to add to high price, high time expenditure, and energy that could be put to better use. I did one dinner date with a civilian I met on tdr in August. She was 34 and hottttt, but her English wasn't so good, so the first date (unsuccessful) was really a downer. So tiring. But it only cost me a few hundred, and she was ready to go on the 2nd date (freebie heaven! But the whole process / uncertainty wore me out, so I opted to go back to ST / LT transactions. Even if she was a WG or FL, though, it wouldn't have been worth more than about 7 k to me.

Now the ones I also find intriguing are the special hotties who hold regular day jobs (like office jobs) but need extra cash. Unfortunately, they may not be available for LT, but they don't charge so much and damn are they amazing! They're also easy to follow up on. I think these are between 3 k ST-5 k LT. I don't think the 1-3 weeks advance chatting before the BKK trip helps much. I just make some contacts and then initiate real communication shortly before / after arrival. Sounds like you enjoy the dinner companionship, which I can understand. But in the end, I don't advocate the guys being too embarrassed to say no at these astronomical prices. I just don't see how it's worthwhile, and mongering wage inflation is becoming a threat in this SE Asian capital.

I read some posts about the experience as a variety change-of-pace on another bulletin board for addicts of Pattaya and tried it just before the pandemic (am white, just for the record). The beer bar across from the old tree on Walking Street had a selection and has just recently come back to life. One girl, from Kenya, met appearance standards and passed the interview. I made it quite clear that while I understood how financial discussions are best done in person, I would not be paying for the pleasure of their company of dinner, if the evening didn't continue past dinner. I also required a video call before we met to verify photos. One of the four disqualified herself on the video call, when she didn't even put on lipstick and all I can say is thank goodness for make up.

Two of the three remaining were all they seemed to be, elegant, well dressed, good personalities and very attractive. All mid-30's which is my personal sweet spot. When the dinner was reaching the time for the check and a decision, we discussed compensation. One said that she was accustomed to receiving 20,000 baht per encounter, but was open to less if I was willing to prepay for a couple of weeks in advance. This lady was spectacular in most ways, even if she was a professional companion. I politely declined which she seemed very surprised. The next day she sent a message and asked me if she had done something wrong to offended me. She asked why I didn't pay her something for her time at dinner, and I told her that if she had told me she wanted 10 K upfront she wouldn't have come to dinner and I explained my policy and she agreed before we met. The third lady told me she usually asked for 4 K, but "Liked" me and wanted to spend the evening together, so 3 would be fine. It turned to be a very fun time together, dinner, rooftop drinks, and very pleasant session in my room, followed by a BJ the next morning and breakfast. She was gone by 10:00 am. I did see her one other time during my stay and it was as good the second time. She was as close to a FL as I have had recently and while not as sophisticated, certainly was presentable.
