Hello gents,

Has anyone had their drinks spiked at Nana? I had a weird experience last night. I walked into Nana completely sober about 10 pm. I first went to spankys and had one drink. The girls were not to my liking and it was too crowded so I left. Took a stroll around the 2nd floor and walked into another bar on the opposite end of spankys, do not remember the name now. I got another drink and a cute girl came and sat with me. I bought her a lady drink and then made thr mistake of leaving my drink at the table and going to the gents. I got back had a few more sips of my drink and was chatting to the girls when I started feeling strange. By this time the girls and the mamasan were pushing me to bar fine her. I lnew something was wrong because this was my 2nd drink only and I never felt like this before (sweating, giddy, blurred vision) I quickly paid my tab walked out and got a cab back tot he hotel. I kind of passed out in the cab but made it back yo my room safe. Went to bed. Woke up about 3 am to get a drink of water while standing at the table in my room I seem to have passed out compeltely. Got concious about an HR later found my self passed out on the floor of my room with a gash on my cheek where I hit the table when I passed out.

I still have no idea how or what happened to me.

I would go see a doctor immediately, especially if you are in BKK!

I don't believe that your drink was spiked; it could be any number of medical ailments such as a mini heart attack to "fainting" due to exhaustion, heat and dehydration.

I had that sweating, giddy, blurred vision session one time after a very vigorous bike ride. Only about 2-3 minutes but I can't tell you if that is accurate. I was totally out of it. It turned out it could have been a mini heart attack. Singapore's PM Lee also did a faint on stage a few months ago and his condition was "vasovagal syncope".

So, if you can, go and see a doc!

I doubt that whatever development might replace Soi 7 Beer Garden will be monger-oriented, but rather the steamroller of tourist and shopper-oriented gentrification will continue as what happened to the shops and food stalls opposite. On a separate note, I was just going through Asoke BTS today and saw that the entire plot which had Hemingway's restaurant and bar is now flattened, so say goodbye to their tasty burger and shrimp cocktail and say Hello, to something with a Starbucks in the ground floor. My problem with Beer Garden on Soi 7 wasn't so much the lady's ages but that I never found a woman in there committed to being very good at their supposed job. <snip> Oh, and I hated what those giant wind-tunnel fans did to my hair. LOL. Hopefully, whoever takes over in whatever business will have the decency to pop for a little aircon unit.

I'm not really sure Diamonds has ladyboys working in there but thought it possibly might have some. I don't remember ever looking at and identifying one on stage or being approached by one there in about 4 visits over the past 2-3 weeks. But maybe one walked past my seat facing the stage at one point. Don't remember exactly. Otherwise, Diamonds is definitely a real girl go-go dancer's bar with a handful of real lookers, imo. One little lady named May has one of the sweetest, natural, young bodies in the Plaza. A pleasant, well proportioned face, but her body quite appeals to me.

As owned by Straps, I assumed would have LBs soon enough, as I have seen LBs at Straps even though never actually entered.

This site suggests LBs seen in Diamonds, however I recognise it is risky to assume, when I have not actually seen them for myself. These days, some girls can be mistaken for LBs, due to surgeries and being tall and gawky. I will check out Diamonds in the future.

I was a customer at Diamonds long ago when it was called "Hot Lips".

I have run the gauntlet through the LBs outside the bars many times, but they could have all been from Temptations on this side of Nana Floor 2.

I have avoided Deja Vu in Cowboy for many years now, since before they had Coyotes, partly because they had 2 or 3 secret ladyboys way back. Perhaps over reaction, but I don't like seeing customers potentially conned from being unaware what they are choosing. Its better to have non secret LB bars for those who want it.

This comes from almost taking a LB accidentally myself together with a real girl, from Hollywood maybe 15 years ago. Yes diamonds sounds right. I an pretty sure it was not a lb bar. The girl sat with me was definitely a girl. No haven't seen a doctor as I woke up feeling absolutely fine except for the gash on my cheek. Got that treated with aome betadine and warm water wash. I have also out myself on a course of antibiotics just to prevent an infection (always carry a range of medication with me when I travel). But will see a doc if any symptoms return. Yes I think leaving the drink unattended was a cardinal mistake

If you took a stroll all the way around the 2nd floor and went into a bar along the main 2nd floor landing opposite Spanky's, I'm guessing that is a bar now called, I think, Diamonds. I believe it would be the first bar you come to if you make a hair-pin left turn at the top of the escalator, essentially at that corner on the walkway. Not a ladyboy bar although there might be some sprinkled in. I have been there a few times, never had a problem but also never left my drink unattended by me.

But if you just strolled down to the end of that landing on the same side as Spanky's, then that is definitely a ladyboy bar, but I don't know the name of it.

What you described is very serious. Have you seen a doctor to get a blood check? You should. But by now, if there was any substance added to your drink there is likely little trace of it left in your system. Then again, a medical check might turn up something else you should know about sooner rather than later.

In my past couple of trips to LOS. I have stuck to Soi Cowboy and PSE oilies. This time I wanted to try something different. Especially after I didn't like the lineup at Billboard & Twisters at NEP. So I headed to Thermae. As soon as I entered. Was ushered to the bar by a waiter. Once you buy the first drink. The waiters leave you alone and I liked that compared to the pushy mamasan's at go-go bars. Lineup was full with more than 40 ladies and less than 20 punters. To be honest. I found it to be a little funny.

That is weird. I wonder what day you were there and what time. Very late? Obviously not a peak time.

Was in Thermae last night. Was my regular haunt 3 to 4 times a week between 99 and 07. When I enter Khun Somchai still comes up, greets me, and remembers what I drink, even thought I only venture in there about twice or three times a year these days. While there are some lookers, albeit most with lots of surgeries, there are lots of mediocre gals in there as well, and frankly I just find it depressing. It is Asian style, not Farang style.

Good summary. I even agree for a change. Not ideal for Farangs used to having fun. Last visit a hot girl was very shy to even tell me she was waiting for some other guy, but did not want to look at me. Seems so easy to me to say "Sorry, I am taken already". She did say it, but after some delay. She already sent a Japanese guy away as well, who was really persistent. A simple "No thanks" could work very quickly.

Last I checked, bars opposite Spankies, there was Candyland 2 (formerly Hot Lips) and Temptations I think, the later seemed to be a LB bar, based on LBs sitting outside. However these bars change names so often these days, its impossible to keep track. I have been in Mercury recently just at the end next to Mandarin.

Candyland 2 (Hot Lips) used to be a pretty honest sort of bar but I have not been in since my favorite girls left there some time ago. Candyland at the right side back corner (was very badly decorated) was closed (staff possibly moved to Candyland 2) and is now Rainbow 5. Next to that is Twisters (was Rainbow 4). Its all very confusing.

Stickboy reported that Candyland 2 was sold to owner of Straps in early 2016. Would be ladyboys arriving after that. Ladyboys are less trustworthy than bargirls overall, generalising. I have met the odd very nice LB.

So I would guess both Temptations and Diamonds are now bars to be avoided due to LBs (and the drink spiking incident). Don't like Mandarin. Mandarin Upstairs is dreary. Mercury very soso (my girls left). Only Billboard and Twisters really interest me at all. RB5 for Baccara fans. Jailbirdz is like Billboard but inferior line up.

I rarely see a good girl in there anymore. I normally walk in, make a circle around the place, and walk out. But recently I got lucky and there was a hard bodied young stunner in there. I walked up to her two seconds after I saw her and asked her to go to my hotel. She was awesome!
