I think in all my years in Bangkok I either never took a girl from Beer Garden or else she was not memorable and I forgot. I don't find girls there that are simply a must do look about them, and I don't much like the style there, and a bit overly spread out to be able to watch a few potential targets at same time. Might have spent more effort avoiding unwanted girls, perhaps.

My visits were also very few, I guess. Did not take long to consider it a waste of time for me. Always worth a visit again to re-evaluate in case I got it wrong. Are the looks better or worse than on Soi 4? I would not know.

There are plenty of bars open from the morning in Sukhumvit Soi 4, with Barfinable girls. I have used it in the past. Whether there are enough pretty ones I can't say, but okay To compete with the massage joints mostly opening 11 am or maybe 10 am for some.

If you can get a girl for all night and do her the next morning, that is good, for bargirls and freelancers. Getting a fuck for breakfast is the hardest one.

Soapy massage places open in daytime but line up is usually weak up till maybe 5. 30 Pm or later. So Soapies have very limited good mongering time span for me.

I am not usually in prime condition for sex much past 2 or 3 am so don't like to go to discos (for various reasons). Hate the noise too. Once you get private contact details, lining up bargirls for afternoon encounter is a good option.

I'm with you. Its so haaaaard sometimes to drag my ass out. And the GoGo bars don't impress me, because I have been there done that before half the folks here got off mommys nip. That's why I am a Thermae dude or Mixx for the times I want to go out, sometimes Spasso. I can guarantee getting what I want if I want it.

I like to combine trips out with football, that way I can get a Chang Soda and watch the game and the girls in Thermae. Or Spasso. Mixx, its just pure cruising, but I like the music.

To visitors, here is your pre high season wisdom:

The girls in any of the falang bars (Hillarys etc) are usually too old and haggard for me. I try to stay well below 30. YMMV, but my idea of fun is not hanging out with a bunch of beer drinking singlet wearing yobs anyway. Insanity is OK, its more club than pickup joint but I have had some luck there if I'm in the mood. But its on Soi 11 and that's just farang party street, a Khao San Road for the more well heeled with higher grade hookers (a bit older too), overpriced food and drinks and a tourist atmosphere. You come all the way to Thailand to party with farangs, that's your place. GoGos on Soi Cowboy are for tourists. If you want to get laid there, make sure your choice is bar fineable. And expect your wallet to be waaaaay lighter when done. I can get any GoGo girl or even many coyotes but quite frankly, I know what I am doing and you don't. Nana is a bit more boomboom oriented but make sure you are ready to pay. The street girls on Nana are the bottom of the barrel, although you can find even lower around Sanam Luang if you know what you are doing. There are some "chicken shacks" and Thai places you can go to, but I don't recommend that for tourists, so don't ask me. That leaves Patpong (gay and tourist) and the best of the lot, Thermae. Anyone can get laid in Thermae for the cost of a 60 baht Chang Soda.

I don't do massage places more than once every few months so have nothing to say. I mostly want a scrub anyway.

If its your first time in Thailand, by all means have fun with your mates in a GoGo, but don't think you are getting a bargain, or that she is going to fall in love with you, or that even the sex will be that great (although there is no such thing as bad sex). All the strategies and posing from guys who have something to say about everything you read here, including bad breath, armpit hair, and their first Thai GF 20 years ago who knows Pim who once worked with Poon who did anal for a while, are meaningless when you hit the ground.

There again, Beer Garden Soi 7 is not an MP, not a BJ Bar, is open during the day and is a place to sit, relax and meet freelancers. You might go in and there will only be 2 girls sitting in there. Or none. But I have passed through and seen a dozen or more in there in the afternoon. And probably as much chance of meeting a "looker" in there as in most MPs and BJ Bars.

Also, I would not necessarily dismiss the idea of finding better looking girls in any P4P venues during the day vs night time. The venues that are open during the day, that is.

Daytime-only hookers are more often than not trying harder to pass themselves off to their family, boyfriends, husbands, sponsors, et al as "normal", non P4P girls with a regular job during the day. That is not exactly true, Matty. There are plenty of Thermae FL's just waiting for Farangs like ourselves. The main complaint with Thermae is that many, but not all, of the young lookers prefer Asians. The other main complaint is that the atmosphere in Thermae is kind of Asian juvenile like an Eastern version of cruising as in the movie "American Graffiti," but not as much fun. You should go there at least once to check it out. It is a meat market. Ha Ha. You might like it.

As to similar bars more attuned to Western tastes: the short answer is no. Thermae is a unique bar in BKK due to the sheer number of FL's that ply their trade and hang out there. Like I said, it is a meat market. But there are plenty of hostess bars in the Sukhumvit area to choose from and that cater to Westerners. Try Morning Night bar, BigDogs, Stumble Inn, and any of the Hillary Bars for starters. These are Hostess bars so they are set up differently that Thermae, but they might be more to your liking. Then there are countless smaller bars further down on Soi 4 and on Soi 22 plus there are plenty of SW's hanging out in the Nana parking lot, Soi 4, on Sukhumvit itself, Soi 11, and Soi 22 as well.

And don't forget the Go Go's. The Go Go's are great, at least the better ones that I frequent. The Go Go's are where I find at least 75% of my BKK and Pattaya girls.

There will only be a fraction of females in the place compared to Thermae. As well as a fraction of the customers. The females' ages will skew older. The place serves as much food as it does drinks. And it isn't as though many or just the better looking girls "prefer" Farangs or Westerners to a degree that they would ever refuse to go with an Asian instead of a Farang or Westerner. But I think every girl who goes into Beer Garden Soi 7 assumes she will probably be taken by a Westerner 4 out of 5 times that she is taken.

To your question, the bottom line is it is a bar/restaurant, same as Thermae, not a go-go bar, not a disco, not a beer bar or any other venue with a cover charge, Ladydrinks or a barfine. The drinks are normal price, not inflated to pay for "entertainment" because there is no entertainment other than it is a place to eat, drink, see a "line up" of sorts of available Thai female freelancers to take to your room or a nearby ST room. What the customer pays the girl is all the money she is going to get for her time there.

The basic premise being essentially the same as Thermae.
