I was shocked at the behavior of mongers during my first visit to FKK, there were Asians that were trying to "hoard" the hookers like they were gold bars.

So I asked my best friend that is Korean why they cannot share, they are hookers after all, you know "you go, I go, he goes".

That's not really the case. Capitalism is failing because the modern corporate version has forgotten that cooperation is a cornerstone of any economic system that wishes to be sustainable. Capitalism is in it's end stages. Just like mercantilism before and feudalism before that it will be replaced by another system. What will that system be? I'm not sure we know at this point. But if we want to continue on this planet as a species it will have to take into account more cooperative systems and systems that are less exploitive and are less harsh on the environment. And just like late stage capitalism has led to the stripping of the planet's resources, and the degradation of the environment, and overpopulation by fostering a me me me attitude, it has also had a profound impact on our hobby.

Some people are as you describe. But I believe well to do mongers care about value and few mongers want to be taken advantage of. I will splurge and possibly overpay for someone special at most once per trip. But that is my limit.

Covid has brought a refreshing return to the old days with prices down and performance up. I'd wager just about any Go-Go gal can be had for 1500. It is the gals competing for us. And that's the way it should be. For those of you who have been here less than a decade, this is what it was like.
Sadly as soon as the hordes return from East Asia, Singapore, and HK, it'll be back to high prices and gals doing far less than they are now.

There are many poor people in LOS, if you're trying to help the poor you hit the wrong demographic. Girls that are getting around 3000 for an hour's work don't really fit into this demographic that you're looking to help out of the kindness of your heart.

And here is the line that gives it all away and proves a lot of mongers here are correct when they talk about spoiling the market and raising rates if there is enough of this logic going around. Please bear with me on this one. I live in a country where people get by with 300 USD a month. It's not a great living but we get by. Being that's the case, girls are happy to accept 20 USD per session, they'll accept less but are happy with it because they make that 300 USD in a week rather that in a month.

Along comes Freddie who pays 200 USD per session in his home country. Gives a model girl 50 USD for her service based on his logic that its way more costly where he comes from. Word gets around that Freddie's can pay that much, girls start asking for 50 from the many Freddie's coming into town. Model girls no longer happy that they're getting paid the same rate as regular sue, so they start asking Freddie's for 80 USD and get it because Freddie just paid 50 for Sue. And the wheel keeps spinning.

If she is reluctant to BBFS to begin with, better not pressure / entice her to do it with more money. This is the opposite of being kind hearted. Find another that is ok with it. This has been discussed extensively in ETs posts, kindly read.

It's clear that you have been identified as a mark and targeted on more that one occasion, never have the more sensible mongers heard girls speaking about getting 100 k from other mongers because the girls have not marked them.

To all intents and purposes the borders are closed inbound. There is no appetite from either the government or most of the population (operators and staff of tourism related businesses aside) to reopen them any time soon. Any relaxation will involve 14 days quarantine at a cost of 30,000 baht and upwards depending upon the facility chosen. That's 2 weeks isolation in a hotel room at your own expense with meals left outside the cell door by hazmat suited staff and similarly attired security ensuring that your only interaction with anyone is by Line chat etc. They don't do self-isolation or stay at home notices here.

A friend who waited months to return to his home and wife in Thailand (spouses are one of the few categories of foreigner allowed in) tells me that any breach, even chatting with your neighbour in the corridor when picking up your meal, is an extra 14 days quarantine (for which you must pay) and a fine under the emergency decree which theoretically means up to 100,000 baht.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sport have today again put out some hot air about travel schemes from 1 October but every previous such proposal like travel bubbles, covid corridors, island isolation has been quickly and firmly stamped on by the medics and PM who make up the CCSA. Most likely the minister is just going through the motions so he can tell the tourism industry he's trying.

Yes, indeed, he was. You are correct. And what I see as common between tipping and paying over market price is that both are paying over market price. So really, what's the difference? Should not both be considered, according to some, as "spoiling the market"? Do you also object to tipping because you think it may, or has already, led to a rate increase?

Then there is the question of when is one "paying over market price"? For example, in the NEP area at one time not many years ago you could find street ladies of varying looks from below average to average to above average all requesting the same price of 1000 baht. That includes former NEP hot girls who would have IMO been superstars working inside NEP. If a guy says 2000 baht to her after she asks 1000 baht, do you seriously think that is "paying over market price" or that there is no chance you will get better service as a result? Or a better chance to hook her as a regular or she will not be happier than otherwise in your room?

I usually have targeted those who typically ask about 1000 baht. My thinking on this is they are poor relative to sex workers in my home country. Also relative to first world escorts, those in the Land of Smiles are more likely to be engaged in this line of employment to help more people, such as poor family members, relatives, friends, etc. Often these are those living in poor villages.

OTOH, if you can believe what I read somewhere the other day, one could go to a place like Bangladesh, even poorer, & help "pay for play" females who may only ask three dollars for their services. I'll call that an "inside tip" for "cheap charlies" everywhere;.

No doubt paying over market rates occurs by a percentage of customers. And this has affected the thinking of certain Thai ladies. Though how much it has raised prices has not, to my knowledge, been scientifically studied. Would you care to guess how much it has raised prices, if anything at all? And if so, what evidence leads you to your conclusion.

Over payment is not merely a uniquely Thailand phenomenon, but there are johns doing this everywhere. In Canada over years rates have been rising like crazy. Possibly due to factors such as inflation, the influx of rich Chinese, economic prosperity or whatever.

With the coronavirus situation, however, we may be seeing things change for the better for those still able to afford this hobby. Fewer clients & more workers. Supply & demand. And, for some, Bangladesh still awaits them as a, so to speak, unexplored or "virgin" territory. Go forth and conquer! And, as a bank commercial said, "save your money"!

Maybe she is reluctant for no reason other than she expects more money. If she says no, then you can leave it at that. No means no. Except, of course, when it means "2000 not enough, 3000", LOL. It may also mean "I have HIV" or "I don't want to get pregnant" or "I have a boyfriend", etc.
