Planning to be in Bangkok 28-31 July and someone tipped me off that 28th is the Kings birthday but as it is a Saturday the public holiday will be on Monday 30th. I am coming from out of town so can those in the know tell me the consequences. I heard all bars will be closed? Does that mean bars close at midnight on 29th also or just no bars on the night of 30th. On 30th do bars reopen at midnight or stay closed all night? Does that apply to all bars and clubs. Gogo bars and regular bars? If I meet some girl before that day will she be happy I arrange to meet her on 30th to fuck her or do they not like to get fucked on that day by naughty foreign guys?

27th is Asanha Bucha (religious day), bars closed, probably from midnight to midnight (but not totally certain). 28th is Khao Phansa and bars maybe be closed, or may open at midnight. On H. M. King's Birthday, most government offices, banks and businesses will be closed. Many shops will remain open and there is no ban on the sale of alcohol.

Visiting Bkk soon and needed some mongering info, got some info as below, I know its a wrong forum I have posted the enquiry help in, but I just want simple straight info don't have time to do research in Bkk forum.

Need more info for day mongering if possible and any other joints better than the ones I have mentioned below.

- Grace hotel. For Thai freelancers, Uzbek / Russian freelancers, never been to the dance club in Grace Hotel though. Is it worth it?

- Sukhumvit Mcdonalds soi strip for Africans (most of them are bait and switch) and further down the street Thai freelancers too.

- NaNa Plaza. All floors mostly for Ladyboys.

- Near Hotel Rajah. Seen an Indian Dance bar kind of a joint there (never been and don't know if we can pick up there).

If you're only interested in (only) top shelf pussy than BKK as there are many more lookers there. The Manila scene is spread out and I'm only experienced w / Makati but in Makati is Burgos St and there are more than a dozen bars there that will keep you busy not to mention the street FLs.

The big differences for me is that in BKK I can have the killer beauty for 2 hours (clock starts when you leave the bar) and maybe the sex will be good. I concur. More options as well. I have been going to the PI for around 4 years about twice a year to dive. Often flying in and out Manila. I have never dedicated time to Manila exclusively but due to diving and flying restrictions I often end up there for a night. It's fun, but it's not significantly cheaper then BKK and way less developed. In fact it's the only place in Asia I have ever had a problem with crime when a cheeky little 9 year old tried to pick my pocket. Piney girls are great and more GFE and generally less mercenary than thai P4 P girls so they may have a little upside there. But the traffic sucks, generally it's less clean, and there is very little to do daytime. Look for travel guides and tourist things to do in manilla and the list is really short, like amazon doesn't even have a travel book short.

10 days though gives you options. I would suggest hitting more than one place unless you are averse to additional travel. In thailand you have Bangkok, pattaya, and phuket for p4 p, other places but for your first time the main places are easier. In the PI you could hit Manila, Angeles, and perhaps something like sebang.

I think Bangkok is much better. Manila is very spread out and it takes a long time to go from one area to the next because of traffic jams. BKK has traffic jams, too, but you can avoid them by taking BRS or MRT. Also, I think Bangkok women are more appealing. I also like the feel of Bangkok better than Manila.
