Day 3.

Got up bright and early and headed of to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Wow, that place is amazing and next level shopping! Spent 3. 5 hours there and some money and still didn't manage to cover a fifth of the place!! My legs were shot and my back was aching so I called it a day and headed back. This challenge isn't done as I still have one more weekend in BKK.

After dropping of my haul and having a brief rest, I made my way to Spring Spa & Massage down at Soi 24. Took the 2 HR package for Thai and Aromatherapy oil massage. Throughout the massage, I made the fascinating discovery that my body was a total and absolute shitshow. My massage attendant was a heavy set middle aged lady made of pure muscle and she put me through the grinder (as per my instruction, of course). Yeah, I was NOT taking proper care of my body and it decided to teach me the error of my ways. Will definitely return for more sessions. The cost was 1650.

I wanted some opinions on how to split up this 20 day Thailand trip. Should I do 10 Bangkok and 10 in Pattaya? Any tips or experiences you'd want to share would be greatly appreciated.

One thing you should consider is how you prefer to spend your time when you're AREN'T being a naughty boy. Are you a foodie? A shopper? A museum goer? Wanting to see temples and other cultural sites? Then you'll probably want to tilt toward Bangkok. Or do you prefer to spend your down time with a cold drink close at hand while watching the world pass by in a tiny little bar off the beaten path? Maybe watching the waves roll ashore while lounging in a comfortable beach chair under an umbrella? Or perhaps day drinking with your mates (new or old) in a beer bar or gentleman's club? In that case, Pattaya will probably appeal.

I live in a big city and enjoy the intense vibe very much. But on holiday I prefer to chill out. Pattaya's laid back beach vibe appeals to me, so I always start my holiday there. Wandering around town in my shorts and whiling away the hours doing whatever strikes my fancy just lowers my blood pressure. That said, I eventually get bored. So I transfer my flag to Bangkok at the end of my trip. My personal preference runs toward waifish girls who have not spoiled their looks with cosmetic surgery and/or tattoos, and I find more of those girls in Bangkok. I also enjoy shopping for electronic stuff and always find time to go that in the big malls. Finally, my flight home is a long one and it's nice to be closer to the airport when the time comes to leave.

Volterra is absolutely correct. These girls do this for a living and are far more street-wise than many give them credit for. They know those that have been there before and those are "cherries".

These girls are in the bars 10-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. They have hours upon hours of practice on perfecting the craft of extracting the most they can for the least amount of effort. Look, not to be too hard on you, but I'd suggest that you learn and adapt. You must have built some unrealistic expectations based on reports you read before your first trip. Most guys write glowing reports once they've earned the good experiences, but the bad experiences are there too.

You're bound to be disappointed in BKK after this week, and I think BKK may, in turn, be disappointed in you. There's no point sitting around a go go club with the same girl sitting on your lap for 2-3 hours. You need to ask what the BF / minimum drink policy is as you enter so that you can politely move on to another establishment if you don't accept the terms (no worries, I also learned the hard way). And I suggest you make your decision during the first drink and go forward with the BF or leave.

And you'd also need to learn some lessons about the outcalls and adjust to make it better bang for the baht. Did you do your research before your trip?

Seriously, the prices / conditions are getting tougher and tougher for the lot of us because guys (like you, yes) are not learning how to work / negotiate / walk away. Now I'm going to go there in 2 weeks and Dollhouse and your GF there are going to have their newly inflated expectations reinforced. Thanks a lot! But don't blame Bangkok.

I'm realizing that my planned vacation of sex and debauchery has morphed into something else. I can't and won't rush off to all the playgrounds, popping pills and rushing sex. I'm realizing that I want the intimacy and chemistry that comes with the act. I guess I'll have to bide my time in these pursuits. In any case, I will still indulge in food and shopping and the tourist things!

Hey, there's lots to experience in Bkk the first time other than just debauchery. It's an amazing place for lots of reasons, so acclimate yourself and enjoy the touring first. I know what you mean: I read reports from some of our fellow heathen and just don't know how they pack so much debauchery into one trip. I pace myself. Usually indulging once every 3 or 4 days so I can still chill and regain juice for the next girl.

Keep in mind that not everyone gets the fever or addiction right away. Maybe you don't feel much the first week or even month, but then one day you're walking innocently down the sidewalk, and suddenly, boom!, that ass wiggly in front of you knocks you between the eyes, and then you just got to have it!

Or maybe you have 3 or 4 bad punts and are ready to give up, but you decide to sneak one in just before you get on your plane home and it finally hits you just right because you let yourself loose only when you knew you were leaving. Then you find yourself back home and your LB is aching to get back to Bkk for more, so the 2nd trip is when you're rampaging out of control like these other superstars.

I went off to Daisy Dream. Took me a while to locate the establishment but found it in the end thanks to Google Maps. I was ushered in and introduced to the mamasan. Chose the package and she called for a line up. The ladies, about 20 of them, were ok I guess. There were some pretty ones and there were 3 really hot ones. Of course, I made the mistake of picking just a pretty one only because of assumed chemistry on my part but.

Why? Agree with Volterra, she comes over, talks, she should be auditioning for YOU. See how her attitude is to you, but simply liking you for the drinks, you're a mark. Save the fiddly bits for your room where you can get serious. AND she's blocking your landing slot for other circling aircraft; no one else is going to cut in. Just make a note of her tail number, check out some others, and when YOU're ready to leave, call the top one over, make an offer. If a no, "next"....

That outfit would have got you in virtually everywhere and makes you stand out among the touristy wife beaters shirts and soccer jerseys and clothes best suited to a beach.

I have to admit, for a long time, I thought walking sticks were a gimmick, an affectation. Then 7 years ago, when the Chinese mountains seemed to grow higher and steeper, I got myself one. I could instantly see the wisdom. Now have 2, an active and a backup. Don't leave home without it.

They are not that far apart. Do a couple of days in Bangkok and then head to Pattaya for a couple of days and see which one you like best. I spent to much time in China, so I personally hate overcrowded Asian cities. But that is just me. Some people prefer the bright lights and big city. The key is to relax and have fun. Too much planning spoils the fun.
