I have been in Sharks about 4 times recently, so am getting pretty used to it. It is definitely more boring than Crazy House, same could be said of most bars. However Sharks has a reasonable level of customers even on a Monday. Not a dead bar.

The gogo girls are generally soso. Quite a few average looks and average faces, not too ugly like in some bars. Not many good sets of tits on show with the see through tops. I just read that antigen and antibody tests for HIV are very quick but far from a clean bill of health conclusive.

PCR and NAAT tests seem to take longer up to 10 days to get the result, but can detect HIV within 2 weeks of exposure or less. Not 3 months.

So seems like for those wanting a clean bill of health, forget the antigen / antibody test where a negative means so little. This test is more designed for someone who got HIV recently to find out quick and start treatments prophylaxis etc. However the negative result from these means not so much.

So good that the Red Cross Clinic is doing the follow up NAAT test to give a more definite result, to make the worried person confident in the Negative.

Obviously I am no expert on the topic. Just interested in the research. I have a girl who wants to see my clean bill of health Guarantee. So I will be getting either the PCR or NAAT test. My Gik girl is not dumb, and knows guys tell lots of lies about condom use, condom accidents, breaks, slippages, etc. so she wants all possible evidence to be sure I am exceedingly low risk to her. For HIV and Syphillis test, it only takes 1 hour for the results (in addition to maybe 30-60 min waiting for the test itself). Other STD tests can take longer, especially gonnhorhea / chlamidya about 2-3 weeks. Cost of HIV test is something negligible, like 200 baht, others are fairly cheap too.

Note that with HIV, if she was just infected a few months ago, it might not show up positive on the test, but she might be highly infectious. I wouldn't have unprotected sex with a Bangkok working girl only based on a negative HIV test. There are also antibiotic-resistant strains of gonorrhea these days, so unless you trust the girl is clean (and if you do, why test) better use a condom.

Tulip is marked on Google Maps correctly. I learned 25 years ago that Thai addresses can be extremely misleading or useless. Don't bother with them. See where it is on Google Maps and hope that the place is important enough that someone put the marker in the right place. Places for Farang are usually pretty good. Minor places marked by Thais, not reliable at all.

You can see yourself on Google Maps that SW is near to BTS Phrom Phong, quite walkable. 3 minutes assuming choose the Soi 24 exit? So silly question. Plenty of Snow White reports on the forum.

The recommended place for STD tests at a good price is in Ratchadamri. Do a web search just like I will have to do, since I forget the name of it. OK Something about "Red Cross". Good catch on the wrong address, but there is not a website for Tulip (to my knowledge). The error is Google's, showing soi 33. Tulip is under the Thonglor BTS and the sign is pretty obvious.
