Many thanks for the clarifications guys! Your feedback is helping me pull the trigger to a Thailand trip later this year.

I'm really happy to hear that ST is really closer to 2 hours. That really changes my math and makes my decision so much easier. From reading lots of posts in the Thailand forums, I somehow got the impression that it was commonplace for girls to bolt after the first pop in ST to try to get back to the club as quickly as possible to make their next ST. But from what you guys are saying, this bolting after the first pop appears to be the exception and not the norm.

It is the norm for them to bolt if it's a short time room. I don't have a lot of experience bringing girls over for ST, but they will always prefer to leave after the first pop, always. You really, really need to confirm a full two hours, and the exact time they are to leave. Most Bangkok gogo girls I find are very eager to get back to their money making machine.

This is 100% accurate in my dealings and observations. I can report however that some fine looking young things from around where I live (North Isan) are very keen to work in Beachside locations for a short period. My research shows the reason / s they want to do this is to have some fun, earn a little cash and maybe jag a rich Farang. But not do the work long. A lot of these fine young things don't need to travel out of Isan to get 1,000 THB for doing the job. Many Thai man are prepared to pay the beauties. As they say "Mai Pen Rai" can work in Big see and have papa pay me for fun extra. Same with Uni students. Many will sideline when they need extra funds for the scooter, phone or boyfriend. No need to work in the Go Go or Bars for a long duration.

Dominate the girl as much as possible once it begins. Agree to two hours before and if she tries to leave early talk to her firmly like you would any other employee. Discuss everything you want in advanced; specify you want 2 hours out of ST including pillow talk after or just pay for LT 5 k.

Average wage in Thailand for 2017 is about 13,500 baht (see tradingeconomics.com). Income inequality is high, so the median is substantially lower. I couldn't find the exact statistic, but it's safe to assume most Thais live on less than 12,000 baht per month. That's $350 per month, not quite peanuts like in the early 2000's, but in no way comparable to US wages.

Even solid, middle-class professionals still get paid 3-4 times less than their USA Or European counterparts. The number of Thais making 120 k baht per month or more is minuscule, I'd be surprised if it was more than 1%.

You are right, however, that America is screwing the working class and that real wages did not rise in a long time, but that's a different issue for a different forum.

When it comes to mongering, the only relevance of this is that most Thai wages are livable (though still not comfortable) these days. Long gone are the days of lower-middle class girls (students or having office jobs) occasionally freelancing on Sukhumvit to make the rent. All we're left with now is the underclass dregs which are too stupid, too lazy, or too greedy to do work other than prostitution.

There are some lower-middle-class girls engaging in prostitution from the comfort of their mobile phones, but that scene requires too much effort on the part of the punter. If you can still get a regular girl (that is, are under 60), you're better off spending the energy online chasing them, rather than going though a similar online hassle, and then paying for it, all for 20 minutes of pumping.

The point is thai wages have increased almost 3 fold since 2001 which is the reason for 5 k LT when it used to be 1. 5 k back in 01.

Regardless thailand still has an amazing offering as far as I am concerned. The main problem for me is Koreans taking all the hot girls.

Thailand is not as cheap as it used to be, but it is still cheaper than the US. A nice 2-2 in Dallas will run you over 2 K USD. 65 K Baht here gets you a rock star pad. Don't have to own a car in BKK. A 2 K USD motorbike will get you around just fine. 100 Baht in petrol a week and cost you about 30 bucks to ensure and register it per year. Health insurance is way cheaper. Food is cheaper, especially if you shop in the markets. Going out to eat in the US is very expensive now. Maid in Thailand; very cheap. In country air tickets and hotels; again very cheap. I'm not off at all sir. Now, if you want to argue about what people make vs the cost of living the US; people in the US make more, quite a bit more. Craft beer, good alcohol, western foods in the supermarket? More expensive in Thailand.

Which is why your 40 USD means fuck all to these people who are often earning close to USA wages with 1/4 the cost of living. How is that so hard to understand? You don't get worshipped in Thailand for being white now. The low quality of life in the US is a different issue.

The USA has brutally oppressed workers for the last 3 decades; Thailand has not. They can earn comparable to the USA wages with 1/4 the cost of living. The USA is a country of losers now. A real joke. Thailand is not. They are winners who have massively improved their lot.

They want real money for their services. People in thailand with access to high wages don't give a fuck what some fat American thinks they deserve based on the USA idea that workers should be content being little more than serf.

You are comparing what you think a thai hooker should get to the cost of living based on the quality of life you think they deserve. A better concept is make barfine 1000 baht or whatever amount. If a customer orders 1000 baht in lady drinks then barfine is zero. If they order 600 baht lady drinks barfine is 400 baht.

From a logical viewpoint, that is not bad. But from a practical viewpoint, I can see nothing but endless discussions shouted in a loud go-go bar among customer, server and girl over how the math of that works out, whether his multiple drinks count in the calculation or not, more improvised scam attempts in the mix by everyone customer included, very difficult to explain it in a few words if anyone even tried to put it on a sign and all of that. Many language challenged guys will only get that the barfine for this girl was only 400 baht yesterday, why is it 700 baht today? and needing it to be explained to him for the umpteenth time and on and on. But the "Buy 3 Lady Drinks and the Barfine is free" type of idea is cleaner and clearer, imo.

I mean, they can just collect the 700-1000 baht, call it a barine and not bother serving the Lady Drinks at all or only one of them if that is agreeable to the girl and customer who want to just move on and not sit and drink any longer, of course. But the incremental calculation idea is a bit too cumbersome, imo.

Then again, even with the "Buy 3 Lady Drinks..." idea, there will be tons of times when the guy will buy a girl 2 Lady Drinks, she will excuse herself to "go toilet" and never return. Or show up 3 minutes later sitting on the other side of the bar with another customer...that's when the real fun begins. lol.

As Stickboy pointed out in his report, the "Buy 3 Lady Drinks first" ideas actually have merit. Even the improvised scams by the staff and girls were better thought out than what the owner of the bar came up with. LOL.

Stickboy Bangkok reports today that Bangkok Bunnies go-go bar's No Barfine policy experiment is over. The owner has called it off after only three days. Apparently, the communication effort about what exactly was the deal was so poor, improvised scams by the staff and girls were rampant. They made up stuff like "Must buy three Lady Drinks first". And we already know some were not informing customers about the No Barfine policy at all in order to steal 700 baht from the customer before the ST / LT take out even began. Also, asshole customers, the few who had heard about the deal on the 'net, were ordering one bottle of water and taking out three girls! LOL. Big surprise.

My guess is the legacy of this will be that this kind of concept failed and is a bad idea, never try it again, instead of what it ought to be; there were ways to make it work but the idea wasn't well thought out to begin with and the owner's efforts at communication about it sucked.

My Girlfriend works for the Thai government and makes 70,000 a month. $69.00 a day which is not bad. But she has her masters and is a government officer. Makes all the difference.

70,000 THB is outstanding money for Thailand. I am currently paying people to work in my field 300 THB a day (lunch and water supplied). Bending over planting rice in the heat and humidity and working the land for 8-9 Hours a Day,6 days a week. 7,200 THB a month, however this work is not ongoing. They are very happy for the work and the amount they get. Mongers on here banging on about how Thailand is a robust economy and you need 120,000 THB a month to live comfortably? Quite frankly Sirs you have your heads up your asses.

UH, just to clarify my gogo experience is in pattaya, not Bangkok. I'm saying my personal experience so not sure what the norm is. If you are nice to the girl, have the ability to entertain them, dress nice, stay in a decent hotel, and most importantly not come across as a cheap Charlie I doubt girls will bolt after an hour. On the contrary they will be begging you to repeat with them.
