I have read a number of reports about Buy Me Drink only agency girls in varous BKK Go Go's, but so far I have NEVER met one in any bar other than the aforementioned "Arab's" bars. Mandarin, with its 1500 bt barfine agency girls and Kings Castle 1 & 2, with their 1800 bt barfine agency girls are most often cited as having BMD only girls on premises. But on my last trip in March & April:

1) I barfined one of the hotter Mandarin agency girls, a very sexy 18-year-old lesbian. There was no question of her not barfining. The only issue was whether she would go to my hotel or we do a ST hotel inside Nana. But when I told the mamasan no deal if not my hotel, that was the end of the discussion. It's a bar first and what you normally do in a bar is drink. These places make their money off the people who come there to drink. Having a bar full of customers who nurse a single SML for 90 minutes isn't going to encourage them to pay agencies more to increase their talent pool. If you want hotter women then you need to contribute to the bar, plain and simple which is why the Japanese / Korean bars have the best talent. Yes, it is a bar. But the draw to a Bangkok go-go bar isn't to get top shelf cocktails at a reasonable price, to look at pretty ladies or to marvel at the latest dance trends. It is to get laid. Bar "freeloaders", if not outright scammers, are in charge when that stops being the focus of a Bangkok go-go bar while they're pestering us to buy another drink and another one ASAP. What I've heard sh*t-faced drunk Japanese/Korean customers settle for in their private talent encounters sounds to me like nothing I would pay 500 baht for much less want to become standard operating procedure with the girls I hire out of go-go bars or any other venue for ST/LT.

Had about a week in BKK after briefer stops in AC and Pattaya, for me the best sequence as one goes from the desert to the absolute rain forest of BJ bars and oilies. Best to save the best for last.

Oilies: A couple of sessions with Ninja at Snow White. Possibly cuter than six months ago, about the best looks / service ratio that I've found recently. Paid in advance but don't know if that is standard there or if I looked like I wouldn't survive the session. I cannot keep the places that do and do not have that policy straight as it has never bit me in the butt (that probably costs extra) but I know that there are those here who are very keen on the issue.

BJ's: hit Som's, The Place Whose Name We May Not Mention, and Kasalong. No newfound gems to fail to track down for seconds as is my curse. Definitely not fat shaming here because that would be wrong.

Bars: Two Crazy House visits. First was on a Thursday and it was for some reason packed to the rafters. Maybe they didn't open the upstairs? Tons of dancers but it was quantity over quality. Way too many tats. I finally spotted one nice butt under a relatively tat-free back. Then she turned sideways. Were those severe stretch marks? No, it was a belly tat. I declined, saying that I was looking for someone. Who? She set off to inquire and came back with two answers in rapid succession: She still worked there; she didn't still work there. The Ecstasy and the Agony. I tipped her for her efforts. Big mistake. We were best of friends for the remainder of my stay. I would find a seat and soon find her beside me. In truth, I did buy a couple of LD's, sort of hoping that she might divulge my dream girl's location. Then it got creepy. Did I love Dream Girl? Did I want to move to Thailand and marry her?

I visited Rainbow 4 or 5 (depends on if you look at the signs inside or outside). Got there early and was one of three customers. Dancers were above average and WAY below average in tats per square foot / metre / furlong. Had my traditional soda water instead of Coca Cola beverage order error. After twenty minutes place was packed and I believe I was the only westerner there. Still, I felt welcome though I don't know how successful a BF attempt would have been.

Next door at Twisters there was about the same quality. Maybe a few lower grade ones but again, like Billboard, they had the numbers to overcome that. It was one of the bars where the girls took their phones onstage, stuffing them in the bottoms or somehow getting them to stick in their tops' straps. Did they use adhesive? Those things would have to be suffocatingly tight to keep a slippery phone from falling. The other issue is phone size. "Does this phone make my butt look big?" Average points. You get to choose from a menu on an iPad (actually, they show you their online page and you scroll down) so you don't see the girls in real life before you choose them. I asked Papasan who was there, he pointed out 4 girls and recommended the 1st one. I followed his advice and chose Faris. To me, she looks like a far cousin from the girl on the pictures. She's heavier, very average looking, but nice smile (braces) and a good personality. She speaks little English, but enough. I would not have chosen her if gotten the chance to see a lineup. After a shower, we went into soapie mode on a good air mattress. I was lying on my front, and that part was amazing. Finally a true soapy experience, she knew what she was doing and doing it well. After about 7 minutes, she turned me around, and this takes us to the *negative points* section..

I've been to MITU 2 x now and in both instances I pre-booked. The first time with Ai who was great and the 2nd time with Nina who was even better. Both ladies really know how to work it on those air mattresses. They also have that tentative approach that made Thailand such a popular place for such a thing. They aimed to please during my sessions.

The thing with these places that are more Japanese centric is that the ranking system on their sites are actually moderately useful. Whenever I've went to one and chosen their top ladies, the service has always either met expectations or exceeded them.

It's a free show and patrons should be aware they need to ante up if they intend staying on. Both management and customers need to be reasonable. No doubt there are freeloaders hanging around only to ogle the girls and I have no problem with refusing them entry or asking them to buy another drink but by the same token I cannot excuse the over aggressive hustling for example I find in Crazy Horse.

There is a limit to how long a guy can sit on 1 drink before he becomes a waste of space interfering with money making given limited seats and all seats being taken. This does happen in a busy bar like Crazy or Bacarra. If the guy wants to be entertained for 3 hours, that might not be reasonable. If his visit is 30 to 40 minutes, then fine. We can't expect him to be more thirsty than 1 drink. I don't know if the bar has a line where they the think x drinks per hour is reasonable.

Baccara used the tactic to expect customers to part with x amount up front before entering to prevent waste of space customers. It stopped me from entering since I did not expect the entertainment to be good enough. I could easily decide to leave within 5 minutes.

Some bars don't actually have anything I would describe as entertainment and Crazy House even has disentertainment shows where fat ugly girls do an ugly show, and take up a sympathy collection afterwards. I don't watch those ugly shows nor tip for them.

Have you ever looked into a bar, seen a couple of likely candidates on stage, gone in and bought a drink only to find out those two lovelies are already tethered to other customers in a back booth? Perhaps they both get barfined and out they go? I have. So you wait to see who else shows up. The theory is that the best girls in most bars are so busy getting barfined you might be under the impression they don't even work there unless you arrive early. But they might return any minute. So you wait.

Now, your idea is that I should buy drink after drink through a series of lesser girls not even close to a proper candidate while I wait to see if a more interesting girl returns or shows up, right? Or maybe I should finish up that first drink, go away for an hour or so and then come back in, buy another drink and wait some more? Uh. No, I won't be doing that. The most I am willing to do when I have committed to sitting at a bar to buy a drink and have not yet seen or felt a likely candidate show up in this dance set or the next one or the next one is to buy as few drinks as possible until or unless something interesting enough to engage has shown up. And that might indeed mean only one drink over a 90 minute period.
