Drinks were far cheaper. Most places in Cowboy were sub 100 Baht. Nana was 100 Baht. That was less that 2 USD in the case of Cowboy.

So if drinks were 100 baht at Nana back in 1999, they haven't even doubled in price since 1999. That's not bad.

I will go one step further. You asked a question and got answers but then you complained about some of the answers and discussions that developed because of your question. I have just gone through your 199 posts very quickly. I scrolled back through 10 pages and could not find one single field report. All your 199 posts are just you commenting but mostly asking questions in different country threads.

Post a freakin field report. Location, atmosphere, price, ladies number, attitude, good and bad experiences. I'll give you an example of a field report. You can take notes if you wish.

For hotels, stay at the Sunnee Grand hotel and convention centre or V hotel.



Hostess and Kareoke bars:

There are both karaoke bars and hostess bars with girls even more attractive than those in the massage parlors. What is the difference? Well, it's simple. If you take The View in northern Ubon, that would be a typical hostess bar, with plenty of girls that will sit with you as long as you buy them drinks. A similar joint is Alive, located in downtown. Things are obviously a little different at Starlight Karaoke, where you would pay 200 Baht per hour for the rent of a private karaoke room plus 200 Baht per hour for one of their super hot and white skinned girls plus drinks (Beer 150-180 Baht, Red Label 1,900 Baht). My personal recommendation through is the brand new Sherbet, a mix of hostess bar and karaoke means you can first hang out with the girls downstairs which looks like an ordinary bar with live music and then later on (if you feel like) sing songs on the second floor.

I had a great time at the place. The owner is from Bangkok and speaks perfect English. I hung out with a beautiful white skinned girl and back to my room for 2,000 LT.

Tawan Daeng.

Tawan Daeng UbonTawan Daeng is an institution all over Isaan and northern Thailand, pretty much every province capital has its own branch of this hugely popular franchise. It's the perfect place to bring your girlfriend, enjoy some dinner and watch the show on the huge stage with Isaan style Molam Music. Very nice and attentive staff and unlike some other branches like in Buriram, the Tawan Daeng Ubon starts getting busy pretty much every single night from 10 pm onwards.

I checked this place out for about an hour but mostly couples and big groups of guys and gals together. Not easy to approach.

Country Club.

Night Club in Ubon RatchathaniThe most popular night club in Ubon Ratchathani. And if you want to hit on some local girls, then this is the place to do it as, unlike most other Thai style night clubs, the tables are very close to each other and people walk and look around a lot to meet and greet new people. No cover charge in Country, like in all other clubs in town, so you can just have a look if you like it. Beware of (or look out for) the ladyboys who typically like to hang out right in front of the stage but aren't too shy (unlike the girls) to come over to your table and say Hi.

I had some good luck here with a local university girl out with her friend one night. We drank and partied all night and back to my hotel. This was a freebie for me, I just took care of the bill at the bar for the two ladies and lunch the following day with my lady.

You-Bar.

You Bar UbonI was surprised when I found out they have you-Bar in Ubon, since the club of the same name is the most popular club in Khon Kaen. It obviously has the same owner here, but it's significantly smaller and the best days to party here are really Fridays and Saturdays. On weekdays, it tends to stay half empty and then the whole atmosphere is somewhat dull. Still, you-Bar is one of the best night clubs in Ubon and it's also the newest and most modern one with the coolest design, thus attracting the Hi-So Thais of the province.

This place reminds me of Mixx in Bangkok but with less freelancers. You need your A game here and I was able to get many phone numbers but I did not have the time to follow up since I was leaving the next day. If I was a local expat there, this would be my first choice to meet ladies for potential GF.

There are a few more night clubs in Ubon Ratchathani, such as Warp Club, the-WA, Fuse Pub and Shark.

Soapy Massage Parlors in Ubon Ratchathani:

There are three soapy massage parlors in Ubon. They all have the typical fishbowl arrangement, however, there's no glass and you can invite a girl to have a drink with you before you decide on whether to go for the full program.

They are divided into three categories, depending on age and attractiveness: 1,500 Baht / 1,800 Baht / 2,000 Baht. You may, if you want, arrange a tip with your girl of like 500 Baht for the second round and then follow her into the modern and friendly room that has a big bed, TV and a super nice and big whirlpool.

Palace.

Palace Massage Parlor UbonBright red light is illuminating the entrance to Palace Aap Nuat in the otherwise relatively quiet Phalochai Road. While the place as such has definitely seen better times, the same cannot be said of the massage girls most of whom are attractive and light skinned. Two categories and prices at Palace: 1,400 Baht and 1,700 Baht. The atmosphere with the narrow lobby and small and old rooms isn't that great at all, but if you pick the right girl it can still be very enjoyable. Oh, and they have Japanese porn running nonstop in the rooms and even better: mirrors on the walls.

I didn't try these places due to time restrictions so I will give them all a shot this next trip.

Long Beach.

Long Beach UbonLocated right behind the Pathumrat Hotel, Long Beach is the third massage parlor in Ubon Ratchathani. It has the biggest fishbowl of the three, but strange the selection is the worst. The four different prices at Long Beach are 1,000 Baht, 1,400 Baht, 1,700 Baht and 1,900 Baht.

Happy Ending Massage in Ubon Ratchathani:

Z-Through Spa where they tell you right upon entry that it's 699 Baht for an aroma massage plus 500 Baht for a hand job plus 500 Baht for body to body treatment.

Not my cup of tea but you might find a diamond in the ruff there.

Started off eating with a Thai buddy of mine at The Old Dutch Mill. It's at the corner end of Soi Cowboy on the Suk Soi 23 end around the corner from CH. As we were eating, we could see all the ladies coming in to work. We were keeping track and guessing how many of them would go into Baccara. About 80% looked extremely hot and most were entering Baccara. After eating we did a couple of laps on Soi Cowboy checking out the girls standing out front.

Our first stop was CH. Big mistake because my Thai friend was denied entrance. We then headed into Baccara. Anyways, I just signed up for my 2nd ST and ST room encounter in the last 6 years. I used to always insist on LT but I would like to stop takimg ladies back to my condo for privacy reasons. Its a no brainer. Collect maybe some more girls like her or even prettier but still at a good price. For guys that don't like repeating, its a roll of the dice if they get a girl that is any good. So I imagine most will want extra cheap, if going to roll the dice on the performance level.

Next assignment will be to try some cheaper Smooci girls I guess, to see if can get an exceptional girl from that source. Obviously it could be hit and miss so will have to try more than once. Also should try Tulip and SW again and see if any of the girls are palatable. I know the odd girl at Mango is O.K. for me.

My summary of The Lord girls, is the line up may have the odd stunner, plenty of non stunners, but overall is underwhelming for a guy like me allergic to surgeries. Sure they look significantly better than a Bacarra line up to me, on average but that still isn't the answer. I don't see myself paying high prices for fake stuff. There are still some average bodies there covered up. I mean average compared to best nude girl figures in the gogos. Planning another visit so checked out ISG Thailand to see what's going on. I must have spent the guts of an hour getting up to date. Sad to say the Thai forum has become a platform for certain members to incessantly talk about themselves, what they like what they dislike how they spend their evenings yadda yadda yadda. Don't they have friends to chat with?. It's not to say they don't now and then have something useful to contribute but mostly it's just too many self-indulgent and irrelevant posts at least for a simple lad like myself who is just interested in the who, where, what and how much. I know I get it what is this post contributing? Nothing, but it's just the one not thousands. So anyway two of my favorites are gone Nataree and Tandy massage. Anybody know where the girls who worked at Nataree went. I guess all over the place but sometimes a large chunk might have transferred to a particular outfit. Looking forward to Crazy Horse and some individual providers with good reviews.

You can wear whatever you want as long as it's not offensive. But around this time of year I advise shorts and thin tops to be comfortable. Most young tourists travel light and cycle through the same 3-4 outfits or buy the generic 3 for 500 baht t-shirts off the bargain rack.

So if in 1999 go go girls got 1000 bt for ST and in 2017 go go girls get 3000 bt for ST then by my calculations that would make it a 6.29 % annual rate of inflation in go go girly prices over 18 years. And if instead we assume in 2017 go go girls get 2500 bt for ST, then that would make it a 5.22 % annual rate of inflation in go go girly prices.

Anyway you slice it, its not good because the go go girly rate increases far exceed the annual rate of inflation and wage increases in the developed countries where most foreign punters travel from to LOS for a little hanky panky as well as Thailand itself which averaged 2% annual rate of inflation despite a few peaks and troughs and very tame recent rate of inflation over the same 18 year time period. BUT actually it's not the end of the world economically speaking. I have seen far larger increases in goods and services in my time in America back in the '70s and 80's, which explains why the aggregate demand for Thai pussy has not fallen off, YET!

Assuming the 6.29 rate of go go wage inflation will continue into the future; 4000bt will be the asking price in 4.75 years (early 2022) and 5000 bt will be the asking price in 8.5 years or by January 1, 2026. Now assuming that the 5.22% rate of go go girl wage inflation will continue into the future; 4000 bt will be the asking price in 6 years (2023) and 5000 bt will be the asking price in 10 years (2027). So better make a lot of money gents, start shopping for SW's, or settle down with your one or two special girls LOL. Hey, what was the price of Soi 4 SW's in 1999?

In '99 I paid 500 Baht for SW, 1 k ST 1. 5 K LT for GoGo gals, and 1 K for Thermae gals. Pattaya paid 500 Baht for Soi 6 gals and 1 k ST 1. 5 K LT for GoGo gals. FL in Pattaya between 500 and 1 k.

My point exactly, the rate for gals has far exceeded the inflation rate here, and you are not getting more bang for your buck. In most cases it is less. FL prices have increased at reasonable rate. GoGo prices have not. BFs in the late 90's were 400 in Cowboy and 500 in Nana. Also drinks were sub 100 Baht. And remember, you received 40 plus Baht per USD. BF. ST, and a couple of drinks would not even be 50 USD. Now you are hard pressed to get that under 125 USD.

But blame the punters not the gals. If there are dudes willing to pay that for 15-30 min of action; good on the gal for being able to get it. But it has completely ruined the GoGo scene for a vast majority of the guys I know.
