For some guys that could be less than 30 munutes. I take 90 minutes often but that is unusual. Girls don't want to just hang with you once you popped so could easily leave before 90 minutes.

Because I take so long, I am willing to pay not absolute lowest. I try to be fair without being ripped off.

I doubt you will choose Citadines Soi 23. I hated it. I recall Tansak panning it and I tried it anyway. Hard beds and unhelpful staff poor breakfast options. He was right. My GF did not like it either (a few years back now). Plenty of better options in the area. Perhaps okay If you love a hard bed. I don't recall any other guys suggesting Citadines 23, possibly the worst of the Citadines Hotels. I thought nearby Admiral Premier was easily superior or Mermaid, or Silq Soi 19, or Fx Soi 21. So many other options.Still to be fair, Booking.com gives Citadines 23 an 8.3 very Good rating. Surprises me. Maybe they improved, but I bet the beds are still hard.

Yes the beds are still hard and that is exactly how I like them.

Soft beds as found in upper class hotels make my back ache. Also I find a hard bed better for making love.

I found the staff quite helpful, but indeed don't take the breakfast option. You have a kitchenette in your room, so it is easy to arrange your own breakfast.

If don't want to walk from Nana to Cowboy, take a motorcycle for 60 Baht (or Taxi from Suk Soi 5). Taxi from Nana Plaza not a great option. Sky train would be silly, since you have too much walking to get to and from skytrain anyway, plus wait for train and could be crowded. I take a motorcycle regularly since it is so quick, even though 60 Baht is a slight ripoff price. Sometimes walk as takes only 15 minutes. Taxi should take much longer than 15 minutes if taken from Nana Plaza, simply because it cannot turn right into Sukhumvit. Motorcycle is a far better option.

Totally agree. Pattaya can be a hit or a miss, I really never liked it. Also citadines 23 is really bad, I have stayed at the Citadines in London and expected this to be a good one however was highly disappointed, the shower did not even fit me properly, forget the girl fitting there with you, the distance is less agreed. However the place is bad. Try something else. I recommend the Legacy suites on Soi 29, Novotel on Soi 20 or even the holiday inn on Soi 26,5 minutes walk but worth it. Taxi from Soi cowboy to Nana is not more than 50 baht, if you take a taxi by meter, however after 10 pm mostly the drivers know you are a punter and they will never agree by meter, offer them 80-100 and they will instantly agree. 30-50 baht here and there should not really be a bother.

Without any doubt, Pattaya has more girls. But that is not saying much. Even I you limit yourself to a few bars in Bangkok only you will already be provided with enough choice to last your whole 9 days and still be spoilt for choice.

Which one is more fun? That we cannot answer. For pure mongering fun, go to Pattaya. If you want to mix P4P with other stuff, go to Bangkok. Best chioice is to mix both places. Barfine was 600 baht last time I was there (October 2016). LT was between 3500 and 4000 baht then in Suzie Wong. I never take ST, so I don't know.

Yes, the girls will know where. I never used these hotels though. Much more convenient to bring her to your hotel.

Citadines is way off the beaten path, I wouldn't stay there, too far to walk. I'd recommend Nana hotel or Majestic suites, you can walk to nana in under a minute with either of those two places. If you go to Pattaya I'd recommend Baywalk Residence for its location. If I only had 9 days I'd pick one area and stick with it, too much to see and do in both cities.

There is a good chance Nana Hotel and Majestic Suites are sold out.

Other recommendations:

Petal's Inn Soi 4 1450 Baht.

Double One Soi 11 1500 Baht.

On8 at nana BTS approx. 2000 Baht or slightly less.

Citadines 8 is about 1750 Baht. It's only about 500 m to Nana BTS, although 1 km to Nana Plaza, so Breadman is no doubt concentrating on that.

Personally I prefer not to be at Nana Hotel with hookers and ladyboys outside the hotel all evening.

No one can say what is best for you. Be flexible and try everything.

Many of your questions have been answered before. E. g. Short Time Hotels. If you don't know the price use a taxi on the meter. Do not talk to taxi drivers that approach you on foot (I ignore them completely), just wave to a taxi that is driving past on the move, and tell him your hotel. If he says yes, then can get in. If he says 200 baht, then just wave him on. Once a taxi driver gets out of his car, he is automatically marked as "to be avoided" unless it is to stow your luggage. Do not tell them where you are going. It's only your business. Do not argue with them. Be silent, be resolute. Assume they are madmen not worth giving the time of day to.

Disobey this rule and you will get ripped off, for certain. Maybe it's better to learn from mistakes. Even Thai people getting off a bus at the bus terminal get ripped off by taxi drivers approaching them on foot. You are in a position of weakness to bargain with anyone unless you are certain of the correct price. I go by meter unless I know the price. I also watch Google Maps to ensure that driver is selecting a reasonable route without circumnavigating the entire Bangkok. Google Maps knows alternative routes.

If really desperate, call a taxi company or use one of the Taxi Apps on smartphone. I don't bother myself, certainly not for short distances. Catching a taxi outside the Nana Plaza is not a good place. They cannot turn right into Sukhumvit road. Better to cross Sukhumvit road by foot first, if heading East.
