The potential risk of having a bad run of experiences that might easily chew up a day, two or even three days in a row of my vacation time in Thailand, something that never happened to me in the Philippines, was one of the reasons for that.

Then, just as suddenly, it is really easy to have the next 3, 4, 5 or more days in a row provide some of the most satisfying and happy experiences in Thailand one could ever want and all is forgotten about the bad run. Or almost forgotten. I often wonder if I ever would have wanted to return to Thailand at all if the FIRST 3 days or so I spent here way back when happened to be one of those truly awful bad runs.

I'm going next month, did some RTFF last month and starting to do more this weekend. Found most of the stuff I've been looking for but a few more things I need to ask.

Participated last year. For the first time. I was not too enthusiastic about the idea because I generally try to avoid such events.
