1000 MG of azithromycin works for chlamydia but no longer for most cases of gonorrhea, at least not in Asia (it used to be that 2,000 MG of azithromycin did cure gonorrhea). For gonorrhea the optimal treatment now includes an injection of ceftriaxone although oral cefixime (400 MG) will sometimes work. And let us not forget the increasingly common trichomoniasis which requires as a cure a dose of either tinidazole or metronidazole.

Self diagnosis and self treatment is extremely dangerous, especially if the guys have been using the stiffener drugs (V, C et al) and even more so if they have been using the generic home-made street variety (with the accompanying loads of impurities).

Drug interactions are very dangerous, especially in guys who are older than 55. Taking random doses of various stuff (some guys cannot even spell them properly) to treat a non-specific self-diagnosed pain in the penis is fraught with danger.

If you were referring to my post, I simply pointed out that there are numerous diseases one can catch, and it is wrong to assume you can just take one drug and cure everything. Also, given I did not specify a single symptom for any of the diseases I mentioned, any suggestion I was urging "self-diagnosis" would be absurd on its face. Indeed, setting out all the diseases and different cures was meant to show the futility of self-diagnosis and self-treatment.

And if you were referring to Paul's post, he stated there explicitly the need to get tested.

I made by third trip to Bangkok last month. Reached there by early morning flight on a Saturday and had an early check-in in Dream Bangkok Hotel.

Yeah I liked the S15. The room was clean and shower was modern and big to allow two to three people at once. The people were nice and hotel was guest friendly. I just wish I was on a higher floor with a better view.
