Canada is an option for those close to the northern border of the states, outcall is legal and there's even the occasional incall joints. Don't forget Brazil, that's a big draw for those living down south or near a major airport hub where airfare is cheaper and obtaining a visa to visit Brazil is easier. Europe is also a 'semi close' destination for many on the east coast. Again, if your at the right airport you can be in Europe in under 9 hours, compare that with a 25 hour travel time to reach Thailand.

Of course Thailand receives huge numbers of visitors from many nations all over the world, not only multitudes of Americans, as it is one of the top PFP destinations in the universe.

Note that Thailand is not in the top 10 destinations for Americans. Jamaica, Mexico and the DR are. I admit Puerto Rico shouldn't be there because you don't need a passport to go there, if you're an American.

That's certainly an admirable quality in a gal. Probably would kill me though as for some reason no matter how good a gal is I lose interest in her sexually quite rapidly. So overall we could say there is decline one way or another. IMO you would be comfortable with a $200 USD (6,500 Baht) per day spending budget not counting the hotel. You will likely come home with some money.

Bring the newer and pristine $50 and $100 USD bills as they get the best exchange rate.

Only change enough money (say $20) at the airport to get you to your destination as the exchange rate there sucks.

Only change enough money to get you through the next day or two. No need to change it all right away.

Have a backup plan should the cash run out like an ATM or credit card.

Google "Bell Travel" for an inexpensive and professional travel option from Bangkok to Pattaya and from Pattaya to BKK airport.
