Very true in what you wrote. Unfortunately, the majority of Indians who come to LOS still have the low class mentality they were born and bred up with. Sometimes they are so disgusting in their behavior that I cringe to think I am of Indian descent. Yes, they may have money but have no class.

A few girls that I picked up on beach road said they were prepared to turn me down because my brown skin made them believe I was Indian. I asked why? They said" the Indian guys travel in packs and are rude, she also said they all try to fuck for the price of one". I have no problem with Indians but I paid attention after she said this. I witnessed two indians getting cussed out on beach road by working girls. I also noticed as she said that they would negotiate in packs. This confused me. Why are they trying to fuck in packs? Today girls with open mind, not all, are not bothered by the scene and walk through it with their boyfriends. Some couple might be open for a try (was next to nothing in the past) with a Thai girl. It's FAR FAR worse in Pattaya on Walking Street, which now in the early evening it's hard to even find a monger. The last few trips for me it's been overrun with Japanese and Korean tourist groups, mostly middle aged and older, men and women with their tour company name tags, led by their tour guides holding up the flags so they don't get lost. They are there to gawk at the goings on and snap their photos like we're all animals in the zoo. Last time I took to taking photos of them, not that they seemed to care. Also, many couples, young and old, that obviously are not there for what we are there for. And for what I thought RLDs existed for!

I see far less of this in Nana and Soi Cowboy, it's not even close. The few times I go to Patpong it's hard to guage because of the Night Market.

I keep up with news on the forum do not post a lot but feel I have something to add to the discussion on Dr BJ's enterprise. I have visited his blow job bar, picked a consultant and paid my 1000 baht. When on the odd occasion I venture into a blow job bar I do not expect an attractive girl but somebody with good technique. She was far from attractive but she knew what she was doing and I left satisfied. However I will not be going back again. Two reasons. the canal boat taxi i am writing about runs somewhat parallel to sukumwit. it starts within walking distance from the royal palace. the three times i used it, i was the only farang on it. i stumbled upon it when noticing a canal walking path. what a cool walkway path. two feet to the right and your in the drink, two feet to the left and you fall into peoples simple living shacks. so i an walking up the canal path and along comes a canal taxi hauling ass up the channel. the wake made from the taxi boats can rocket 7 feet into the air. there is no slow zone on the water from what i could tell.

so it looks like people use it to get to and from work or even minor shopping in some of the lesser districts. anyway, my first day i took a car-taxi from the palace back to nana and it cost 60baht and took for ever in traffic! the next day, i stumbled on the canal taxi and that took me all the way to nana for 14baht and it only took about 20 min. the experience has kind of an urban up-the-amazon feel to it. to see this link, fix the site name, compress out the spaces in the string and change out the v= to v=. really it is worth watching: youtubedotcom / watch? v= yxhqat0dzru

Nevertheless. There are much more Asian customers in Bangkok right now, Mainland Chinese, Indians, Koreans, Japanese etc. Etc. There are much less Europeans in Bangkok this year, most likely because the financial crisis now hits Europe. Australians are here though, and Americans are returning step by step.

Besides the slow death of Soi 33 I also hear nothing positive from the bar owners in Cowboy, lower Sukhumvit and Soi 22. Business is in general down compared to last year, the lower number of farang tourist spend less, and the Asians usually do not visit the same areas. They also spend less.

Another problem is that nearly all bars and massage parlours have problems to recruit new girls. There is a massive shortage of girls. All bar owners with a business model that is based on girls / bar fines are complaining. In many gogo bars there are now coyote girls dancing, that are hired from specific recruitment agencies. Those girls dance, but they don't go with customers.

The higher quality girls have nearly disappeared from the well known farang-driven red light districts. Most of the girls that apply for jobs here at Livingstone's Lodge will NOT be hired. Because they simply don't fit in here. Behavior that disgusting, no style, it's unbelievable what's left on the market. The higher quality girls are now working in Japanese clubs (more money) and in the high end massage parlours of Rhatchadapisek and Phetchaburi Road. They charge THB 3, 500. 00. Giotto, that is exactly what I am seeing. Truth be told that is the state of the P4P industry in much of the West; you have the high end and you have the low end, and very little in between. Thai gals know their "market value" now. It is no longer a secret and over the next 5 yrs as hordes of mainland Chinese (where women are in short supply) there will even fewer gals around. As the indian economy has boomed over the last several years, the increasing numbers of the middle class are taking to the air to discover south east asia. Open any leading indian newspaper and you will see dozens of tour companies advertising package deals that include BKK and Pattaya for like a 5 day trip for the equivalent of $500 USD or 15, 000 baht. This includes airfare, accomodation on a twin share basis and transportation and visits to certain tourist attractions.

In my last three trips to BKK I've seen a very different demographic of indian tourist discovering this great city. Saw a lot of young couples partying together at places like QBar and some of the rooftop venues around the sukhumvit tourist areas. Same was the trend at some of the late night discos. It is common knowledge here that for a good party at the more trendy and upmarket non P4P venues, it ends up being a much cheaper night out in BKK than in Mumbai or delhi.

I bow to your superior knowledge of what's happening on the bars / girls scene. All I mentioned was that the lady who runs the Hillary group told me same store sales were up for her group. Definitely 33 is very very slow and unless there is a huge upgrade along with a large infusion of cash and talent the future is far from bright.
