I am staying at the Dawin on Soi 4, Sukhumvit. The hotel offers massages for 400 Bahts. What can be expected of these packages? Just a regular spa massage or any other extra benefits? Do we need to tip them over and above for that? Or should I go for one of the massage parlours I have seen next to the hotel? I have an early morning trip tomorrow and not going to stay beyond midnight.

It's 8 pm here. Any suggestions? And what are the range for ST rates?

Good knock off watches go to a place called Buddy Shop. I have been buying many watches from him each year and have always gotten the best. He is on the third floor about in the middle and close to where the escalators come up from the second floor. Phone is 081 657-9829. He is an amazing man and runs the shop with his sister. It is a small shop but at least he is honest and backs up everything you buy from him. I think I have been dealing with him for over 15 years.

Landed at Suvarnabhumi around 11. 45 am and checked in at the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit around 1. 15 pm. Cannot understand why so many people complain about Immigration and customs or slow transportation in BKK.

Give them a try. They're not as farang friendly. Your date probably won't speak much English. If you're staying around Sukhumvit they're not as easy to get to as some places, although the subway has made massage places on Ratchadapisek more accessible. The women are however more attractive on average than Annie's, and the facilities are much larger and nicer. They'll typically have a lot of women sitting behind a glass wall, sometimes segretated into groups, according to price or services offered. And also sideline women or model lounges where you meet the women in a setting more like a cocktail lounge. Either way, talk to the mamasan or papasan. They'll have ones who speak English. And tell them which girl you'd like to do. You can visit with the sideliners / models a little before making a commitment. You may be able to do the same with the ones from the glass bowl, although I never have. You can have a drink or drinks while you're looking and when you go to the room. if been using the rfid topup cards for years on the bts and mrt. never experienced any of the other issues you mention above. guess i use the wrong stations.

Buy the rabbit card in BKK and that will entitle you to use a prepaid card with no que or line. Lines are everywhere in the work in rush hours.
