I think you exaggerate greatly. Its usually only husbands or boyfriends that beat up Thai girls, as they seem to think they own the girls.

In any case, if you are Farang and are not looking for serious trouble, you don't don't go too physically at Thai girls in a situation like this. I have witnessed Farangs who wanted to respond physically to a stupid Thai girl, get very seriously beaten up.

Has anyone flown with Kingfisher BKK-MUM-LON? I usually take Jet Airlines who are excellent, but I see Kingfisher now fly the route a little cheaper, is the service and baggage allowance as good (I think Jet allow 30kg baggage allowance)

Personally I think Kingfisher are marginally better than Jet. Haven't done that particular route all the way, but LON-MUM very good. Can't comment on the baggage allowance as I travel light. You planning on bringing the kitchen sink?

1. Is the CITI ATM near Asoke still free of the Farang surcharge? If so, how do you find this machine; I didn't find the information on CITI's website very helpful.

If you have a CITIBANK account in the states or your home country, you should not be charged fees. I used this ATM a few times and was not charged a fee for cash withdrawals. There is a well staffed CITIBANK branch located directly above the ATMs and the receptionist is very friendly / helpful (spoke perfect english also). She will confirm for you.

Once you exit the Asoke station and are at steet level. You will see the massive CITI signs on the building acrooss the intersection. The ATMs are located in the building lobby entrance directly across the street at the intersection. Their ATMS are safe / secure and fast also.

I thought I was the only one to get this treatment but apparently not. Last year in Phuket at a run-of-the-mill mp I laid down with a young girl that seemed rather frisky. That's was fine until she gave me a poke in the nutsack, twice, hard! At that I sat up and gave her a double poke in each nipple and asked her how she liked that. Her whole expression changed to that of a thief caught in the act. When I told her to get the mamasan she freaked out and begged me to let her finish out the massage. No way she was going to touch me again. So I got dressed and went to the front desk and told mms that I would not get the massage after all but I would leave a tip. I left her a 10 baht coin and the other girls sitting around laughed their ass off and started chattering away.

When there is a good alternative 5 doors away I see no need to put up with whatever this crap is. Mistaken identity, pent up frustration, racial issues, etc. I don't care since I have never treated these girls badly there is no way I will put up with it. I do have to point out that it was the only instance in the 3 times I have vacationed there. Takes all kinds I guess. LDP

I leave for BKK Sunday and after 28 hours in the air and in airports will be there-but at a cost of only $90 on a FF ticket.

It happens all the time that Thai ladies mistake me for someone else. All of us Falangs look the same! And you may be the victim of mistaken identity.

But it can also be that the lady in question was just crazy. Thais will let another Thai person be crazy with a Falang as long as it does not get too violent. Recently I was entertaining a Thai lady in a beer bar when the waitress butted into our conversation and claimed that we were talking about her and saying bad things about her. We never met her before. I am pretty sure the waitress was on something other than a few beers, perhaps yaba which can make them act strangely and paranoid. We left because the waitress was getting crazier and we were getting dirty looks. The rest of the staff looked on and did nothing.

It was in Feb this year. I walked in and sat down had a beer. There were two gogogirls sitting by the door chatting and giggling with another farang. They invited me somehow and we had a good laugh and everybody seemed to have a good time. Suddenly I saw a girl in a white bikini or some white clothes, from the left comming towards me. She smiled and placed herself right infront of me, took her both hands, boom, on each side of my head and face. Not so hard and afterwards she smiled, but when I said it was not Ok, with a smile, she walked away. I immediately paid my bill and left. The others had seen what happened but no one said anything. Maybe its a good place but I don't go back when they have girls that treat the costumers with no respect at all. My head is very blessed and holy, especially when I am in Thailand. And it don't like to be slapped by a bargirl.
