Can anyone give me the definitive answer on the status of Wild Country in Washington Square. I have read conflicting reports in other forums. Some suggest it is no longer open as Washington Square is being demolished to make space for some hotel or something such as that. Others report that it is still open and going as strong as ever. I've been in BKK many times but have never been to Wild Country and would like to check it out when I'm there again in about a month.

Is Tilac (the name of the bar) the same word as what is usually Anglicized as "teeruk" (Thai for darling / sweetheart)? I know the bar is pronounced like "tee-lock" by Thais but not sure how "teeruk" is pronounced.

Yes, it is. As you know, 'R' and 'L' are pretty much interchangeable. So you can write the word as anything from 'tillac' to 'teerac' to 'teeruk', etc.

The soapies have more variable prices which you will discuss with the mamasan beforehand.

And as an advice to the guy asking the original question, he has to know that in a soapie, apart the price one pays (time and number of girls) , the given price include ALL (often multi-pops) as well as the standard service.

So there is not much of a price list as such for separate HJ / BJ / FS.

If one is after an easy HJ and a bit of massage, the MP is probably the best (and cheapest) option: room / massage cost + the service tip (I prefer to call it fee) of 500/100/1500 as previously stated.

Whereas the soapie is really a full treat and entertainment usually inclduing a starting BJ in the tub, followed by the rest. Usually lasts 1. 5/2hr and in a way good value for the money paid.

I'm planning a trip to BKK and I've been reading the posts but there's one thing that I'm not clear on. If you go to a massage place like Mango and you pay 400 for an hour, does that include any sex or is that just for the room? If it's just for the room, how much does sex cost?

All the most reviewed places on here like Mango and Snow White are pretty much fixed price. 1500baht for sex on top of whatever you paid for the room.

My visit to Snow White last year we never even discussed price. When we were finished, we walked to the cashier and she just added 1500 to the room fee and I paid everything at once. Then I slipped a tip to the girl. I really like that system as I find negotiating can sometimes be a mood killer. Not all places do it like this, though. Technically you're paying the massage parlor for the room and you negotiate extras with the girl seperately.

-Took an 18 year old out of Nana last night. Had been working about 3 weeks. She could say "how old are you" and "what is your name", but after that the english fizzled. She sat with me when another girl I was sitting with (who I had barfined once last year) went up to dance. Dancing girl proceeded to get a bit angry when she saw us together and was running her mouth in thai, both at me and the girl. I don't understand why bargirls get jealous. I wanted ST with the 18 year old, but after sex she wanted to "sleep 5 minutes" which turned into LT. Asked me for 3000 in the morning and accepted 2500.

-I really don't think Baccara and Tilac girls are that special. When I visit I struggle to find one I want. The bars themselves are very nice, especially Baccara, and I think people look upon the girls working there as a cut above because of this. Take the same girls and put them in an older crappier bar and they wouldn't get as much interest.
