The reason I think that Thai working girls like the Japanese is because they pay more money for anything extra, where as a westerner will only pay what he originaly first agreed with.

I had a long discussion with an older Japanese chap a few nights ago which started at soi 7 Beer Garden and ended at Thermae. He, too, is dismayed at the Japanese willingness to overpay, and puts it down to two factors: 1) The relative low cost of, say, 4000 baht for a short-time in Bangkok compared to what the same (but probably less fun) would cost in a major metropolitan area in Japan, and 2) the willingness of the Japanese to pay a premium to have a girl who speaks even marginal Japanese. A lot of the Thermae girls have attempted to learn conversational Japanese, whereas the girls at establishments with similar "systems," such as Beer Garden, have not. A lot of Japanese really hate to be forced to try to speak English. At any rate, bear in mind that there are experienced Japanese in Thailand who resent the expectation on the part of the girls that they are willing to pay exorbitant prices.

One more thing, while the Japanese may be a xenophobic lot, there is little chance of a Japanese guy having too much to drink and deciding that it would be more fun to start a brawl than play with the girlies. For 90 minutes, in house with one girl the Mango price is 1500bt for the girl and 600 to the house if I am not mistaken for a total of 2100bt before tip. You took two Mango girls out from 10pm till morning for unlimited number of rides for 3000bt per girl before tip and the sex was very good. I think you got a good deal.
