What after hours action is available? Prefer to stick to bars/disco and not MP's or SW's.

-Climax is the Usual Suspect, Soi 11, Ambassador Hotel, as others have mentioned.
-Spicey Club and Bossy are the other two after-hours clubs (see below for timing advice).
-CM2 is also open until 2am or so, and Spasso gets heaving after midnight.
-Nana Liquid is yet another option.
- Bed Supper Club (which I detest, but you may like), on soi 11 a little bit up from Climax, and
- Q-bar, also on soi 11.

These latter two are a little bit more sophisticated, and therefore a little more pricey.

All of these are nightclubs, where you get a mix of regular part-timers, SWs, and gogo girls who did not get picked up at their club. There are loads of reports on these clubs, some by me, so do a search and you will get all the info you need. PM me if you have specific questions.

Two points.
1. Japanese guys tend not to frequent the nightclubs, at least not anywhere near the frequency of gogo bars. So the girls who come to these places are not really expecting a Japanese type experience.
2. The best nights, based upon my experience, are the off-nights, i.e., avoid Fri and Sat nights. This is because you tend to get a serious crunch of bodies, and it makes life hard. On off-days, e.g., Monday nights, Tuesday nights, etc., there are plenty of girls (depending on the time you go), and far less male competition. If it were up to me, I would aim for Sunday through Thursday.

As for timing, I have had some luck showing up at Climax before midnight. But if you do, expect an empty club, and sitting around for a good 45 minutes. The advantage of doing this is you get a good table in prime location where every girl can see you, and you often get the first pick. You can then get outta there by 1am, if you like. But if you are going there after soi Cowboy closes, then it will likely be pretty full by the time you arrive.

Climax is busiest from around 1am-3am.
Spicey Club is busiest from 2:30-4:30am (or thereabouts).
Bossy Club is busiest from around 3:30am-5:30am.
Spasso is busiest from 11:30-2am (or thereabouts, although I've only been here twice)
CM2 is busiest from 1am-2am (or thereabouts, although I've only been here twice)
Bed Supper Club is busiest from 11pm-2am
Q-Bar is busiest from 11pm-1am.
Nana Liquid, in my three experiences there, does not pick up until after 1:30am, and lasts until 5am or so (although I have never been there longer than that).

My regular routine when I feel like some bar hopping is to do Climax from midnight until 2am (I think they have the best band of all the clubs listed here, although it is really loud), then over to Spicey Club until 3:30am (no band, just a DJ), and then Bossy Club for the finale (also no band, but a DJ). If you don't find someone at one of these places, you're blind or very picky.

To get from one place to the other, get a cab - they all know where to go. The only issue is that some taxi drivers will take you to Boss Club instead of Bossy Club (a very common mistake), and the former is not as good as the latter.

Some final tips:
1. If you arrive in a taxi with two or more passengers, you need not pay the taxi guy - he will get a commission from the club. So if you can get a group together, you save some cash.
2. If there are five guys in a group (or thereabouts), instead of paying for entrance separately, you can buy a bottle of whiskey. Upon purchasing a bottle of whiskey, you get five free entries (this varies on the kind of liquor you buy, and the nightclub you are at, so check before you buy). The price of the whiskey varies from establishment to establishment and the with the quality of whiskey, but the advantage of this is they then treat you as a VIP (somewhat), find you a good space in the club, get you a trolley with a bucket of ice and glasses and stuff, and all the girls see you guys as fun guys. It is likely to increase your odds of snagging the pretty ones. And if not, it makes sense economically. Simply ask for the price menu upon arriving and work out the economics of this before paying your entry.
