Getting Way off the topic.
Will be in LOS next week.
Are there any "Indoor" areas where I can still have a cigar and scotch?
Must be upscale, not a trashy place.
I know only of the Oriental Hotel, which I will go to,
But looking for an alternative as well.

Guys,
the only word that describes sufficiently what's happening here in Bangkok is: Ridiculous!
Soldiers kill other soldiers, and the Government presents M79 grenades found in a car (later it was a motor bike) stopped at a checkpoint, combined with papers that indicate the origins, but the driver manages to run ... and even The Nation comments that this story "smells" ...
I think it should be quiet tonight (of course you never can be sure that the soldiers somewhere starts to shoot each other, or they all commit suicide or something like that ...).
Hopefully the Government accepts now its own inability to deal with this crisis, and steps down. And if not because of the demands of the red shirts - then because this Government has now proven to the world that it is simply incapable!
It's disgusting to watch all this. Unbelievable!

STAY AT YOUR HOTELS TODAY.
Warnings suddenly from all sides. A soldier has been killed at Don Muang - but obviously only minor injuries on the side of the red shirts. This can provide a good "reason" for the army to act.
Rumours (4:25 pm): Gun shots/explosions are heard at Rajprasong Intersection and Silom!
The live stream from the UDD demo is down.

PS 4:37 pm:
Rumours from the UDD - the soldier was killed by friendly fire. One civilian severely injured.
What do we learn: Do not believe anything from any side, whether it is Government or UDD - AND STAY SAFE AT YOUR HOTEL TODAY!
