I was in there 3 times last month with friends and it seems ok... There were available girls and easy to chat with. Drinks weren't so bad either. At least worth checking out if in the area.

    Come back to pussies

OK, let us come back to pussies (and the associated costs).

If the price of a massage is set too high, we will go some where else. If it is too low, the palour will not be able to cope with the number of customers and they will have to raise prices. Thai, American, Australian, or even Chinese massage palours cannot just set prices arbitrarily. If the Australian price for a massage goes up and down a lot, it may be because the cost for extras is going down and up a lot. (This is an analogy, so don't quote me!) Things tend to balance out.

I have been enjoying pussies all over the world for thirty years and the prices stay the same, more or less. But the total cost keeps lowering, when you include airfares, hotels etc. Going to the next town used to be a once-a-life-time thing. Now I just fly to from Melbourne to Bangkok or Shenzhen using Air Asia for naughty weekends for around US$450. Can't complain. Giggling all the way to my pussies.

It does seem like a kind of cheating to me.

Every country manipulates the value of their currency. The only variables are to what extent and how blatantly they do it.

Yeah I figured that.... no biggie. My feathers are fine.

Hmmm! I'd like to know too. Japanese ATMs are scared to go to Thailand because of the red shirts, so I guess it's just the right time to go there!

    Eden Club

Yes, its still open and Marc is very much there.

    Situation in Bangkok

    Hi

As the red shirts are now moving to Ratchaprasong intersection for what is described as the final battle, do you think it is still safe to go to Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza this week end ? Has anyone been there the past days ? And is there any action at all in the bars ?

    Thanks

I pulled out an old file from my first trip to SEA in 2002. Vs. Canadian dollars:

    Thai Bhat: 2002: 28, today 32
    US dollars: 2002: 0.64, today 1.00
    UK pounds: 2002: .41, today .65
    Euros: 2002: .64, today .73

So the bhat is the more stable, for some of us.

    Eden Club?

Is it open for business? Does Marc still run the joint?

    Thx,

Girl's drinks were 150 Baht. I buy a girl one if I'm interested, but don't buy many. Also, I'll have a beer or two, but I'm there to bang, not to get hammered.

I suggest that you negotiate with the girls prior to leaving the bar, that way you can always look to move on to other girls if they don't budge on their asking price during negotiations. Once you move from the bar back to the hotel room, you're negotiating from a positioned of weakness. Also, I don't tip. I negotiate a price for services and stick to it, if they mention a tip and say they need cab fare, I offer them 40 Baht, and generally they laugh, if they don't, too bad.

One thing to remember, there are more girls here than guys wanting to hire them, you are in the driver's seat. In the real estate business, they call that a "buyer's market."
    Thank you for your reply.

The girls that I had in mind were the hot ones from the top clubs, such as baccara and tilac, as well as spice girls and suzy wong.

I didn't take out any girl from the above. I was under the impression that these prices were the going rates, since they were quoted by veteran members on another board.

The max price I paid in Bangkok was 1000 bht ST, but it wasn; t from Go Go clubs.

    Booey,

This topic has been talked about in the past and will continue to be a topic of discussion in the future. It has been applied to P4P to the Beer we drink. When times are bad they rise the prices it beats the hell out of us, where we were taught the opposite. Right now times are tough and for example on one street there are dozens of Thai massages places all charging 150/200 baht a hour for Thai massage and 150 for Foot massage. The place I go to has dropped their fee to 100 baht a hour and ask the ladies to take less but they will have more customers and possible tips to make up the difference instead of everyone just sitting around and making barely nothing. They have also dropped their Foot massage to 100 baht. They were making a killing and the ladies weren't getting rest. Now they reverse course and raise the prices again? Business was too good? At least they compromise somewhat and the Thai massage is 120 per hour but the Foot is back to 150 per hour. The lady says Foot is more expensive to her since they have to use that cream.

    Wendella,

I remember when the baht was a 43? Their names are so long that it's impossible to remember but during that period I read in the Bangkok Post Business that some economics adviser suggested that they fix the exchange rate at 37, I was all for that since it would be a compromise to the 25/1 that it once was and the high of 43/1! not wanting to be greedy! Today look at it!

The guy that is responsible, I sure you have seen him in the papers and on the tube? Talk Thin guy with wire frame glasses I think is the the guy? Maybe others can verify or deny that? Yes there has been lots of talk that Thailand is controling the currency to their advantage that as long as their economy is still rolling and foreign investor are still coming in etc.... they aren't going to weaken their baht. Others official has criticize this approach!

Don't jump on me, just my opinion as to what I have read in the past and heard. No proof of anything your right before someone else says it!
