I do realize you are talking about FL. If you consider go-go girls, then those normally go out for 3000 plus let's say 700 bar fine*. Total, that's $113 US** for a LT. (and also keep in mind that the girls who are hot and know it will even ask for 4000 or more to go LT -- if so, add $30 for every 1000 baht)

I wish people would quote prices this way (total price) to give us a better idea what things really cost. Especially when talking about gogos, it's very misleading to just mentoin the ST or LT price, since the barfine can be over 1/3 of the total that you really pay. So the cheapest ST you can hope to find at a gogo now is 1500 ST plus 500 BF, so actually 2000 baht***, or $61 US****.

And yeah, I realize you are talking about FL. Just thought i'd mention this as a reality check for those (and I'm one) who find it easy to fuzz out what thinsg actually do cost.

Anyway, for a LT, you can see quickly there that a lowish end FL girl really costs about half what a gogo girl does. OK you can get cheaper even at Starbucks around 3am... if that's your thing, go for it.

    * yes I realize there's bars with 500 baht BF and girls who'll go for less than 3000 LT... but they're the lower end of the spectrum -- 3000 + 700 seems like a fair 'typical'. If you disagree, I'll listen.

*** good look finding her...and if you do, better to do ST cuz you may get some surprise when you wake up in the morning

**** thought I'd mention that I did a previous version of this post including the Euro and Pound prices, but my browser ate it. Feel free to reply with those -- I'm American so USD works for me.

    thanks in advance.
I can answer my own question now.

For long time, which is usually my preference, 2000 baht is considered the "going price" , a "good" going price among Thais, and that's either among freelancers along Sukhumvit or girls found in the after hours clubs.

The Russians basically try to charge double plus. Every girl in CM2, Thai or foreign will try to charge double plus. It must be those expensive dresses they're wearing and the crazy 650 baht entrance fee they have to pay (as do you) just to get in. (you get one free drink with that, and then it's basically 10 dollars a drink.

Had some great success in the after hours clubs. My kind of scene. Stepped into a gogo once and left annoyed shortly thereafter. Lots of scary dogs on Sukhumvit but every now and again you'll find an absolute gem.

Saw some incredibly attractive Thai girls partying it up at the Soi 11 clubs like Klimaxx on the weekends. RCA also good, but you're wasting your time there if you're over 35, perhaps even 30. (depending on how you look)

G, It snowed a lot in the UK this Winter. Ever talked with Thais about snow? I'm so jealous of that lovely Bangkok climate that starts to develop about now. Still, I can always visit my local sauna as compensation. WTF is Xynthia?

I am just back and can confirm that dettol is anti bacterial.

    Protec is a cheaper version.

Thai gf reads and writes english and she buys this soap for me as she knows I use anti bacterial soap as the insect bites tend to get to me.

Tesco (large ones) also sell liquid anti bacterial handwash and soap.

Old Thai Hand (who knows far more about Thailand than Mick Whatever Name ever will) wised up to this silly obsequiousness long ago, after initially falling foul to it. BTW, Mick, you avoided the accusations levelled at you wrt the OTH banning. Were you one of the two "very senior posters" who complained about OTH?

I threw a birthday party for my GF a few nights ago at the Rama III Tawangang --
about 10 bargirls, one ladyboy, two old guys, good food, a couple of beer towers, and 3 litres of Johnny Red. It was a great time.

Sitting next to us were a couple of big tables full of farang guys (no ladies). You should have seen the drool on their chins. At the end of the night just as we were walking out, one of my BG guests pulled a guy from another table. She stopped us at the taxi looking for one more girl to join her impromptu party!

I too am a big fan of Nicholas Cage's movie Bangkok Dangerous, the Caribbean Club is very real as it did exist until last year when it closed. Clubs like this exist primarily for weathy Thais or long term expatriates. Usually involve steep membership dues. See link below:

Thai's do like stage shows at all levels from the Tawan Dang german/thai restaurant on Rama III or the Hollywood disco on Ratcha. Much cheaper, but not pickup places. G-Clubs are a whole nother level for big buck business thai's and Japanese. Mostly for impressing business clients and gaining business influence. Bring lots of Baht or keep to Soi Cowboy or NEP.

Of course. But there are some viruses that are spread by touch (hands to mouth/nose) and for those, washing does supposedly help, and probably the anti-bacteria component is a non-factor -- rather its the act of washing that does it. For air-borne viruses (liquid particles carried by air, breathed or swallowed in) it's obviously completely inefective.

    Coyote Clubs

Does anyone have experience (success) in the coyote clubs? I do not mean bars on Soi Cowboy that use coyote style, but rather the big places in Bangkok that have the big lineups of model-quality girls, as can be seen on youtube.

Are there a few of these that can be recommended?

How do you play it? Is it really difficult to pick up there?

What are prices like if you do succeed?

I'm guessing it's not that easy, otherwise there'd be a lot more talk about them here.

There's one of these places featured in that Nicholas Cage movie Bangkok Dangerous, the Caribbean club (which apparently really exists).

(apologies for the crap camera work on these -- can find better by searching youtube, these were just some of the first links that came up -- just to give an idea)
