I love thai women, you just have to enjoy them in a different way.

For most of the 1990's until about 2003 I spent my vacations switching back and forth between Thai's and Latina's in Brazil or the Dominican Republic. And though I clearly liked both there were times when I was ga-ga about Latinas and other times when Thai women did it for me. Once when I was in the middle of a Latina frenzy I actually came to Thailand because I thought I should visit, but I was so bored by the average so-so sex that within 3 days I booked myself back to the DR and had a great time. Sex was simply better with Latinas for the most part - it is a much more part of their culture and something they are proud of their ability in. Thai's are different of course. But in the end now that I am in a retirement stage I pretty much ended up in Thailand because I just like the personality of the girls there so much more - calmer, sweeter, cuter, more gf. I just came back from a week in the DR and found myself kind of bored there with the hit and run sex. So to some degree it depends on where your head is - but everyone should try and partake of both if possible. And btw - Thai women have gotten so much better in the sex dept. than they were in the 90's where they generally did do the towel cover thing, lights off, no bj - but I have not come across that behavior in a few years now.

So many of these reports are so incredibly lame I wouldn't really recommend them for newbies. In fact, if you take the time to notice, most of these reports are written by newbies!

I was referring to OP's comment that he read every report (plus all 500 pages of this thread???) and still felt didn't have a handle on the monger scene in LOS.

I agree many of them are not really deserving. Bu for every lame report, there is equally a good one. If you read nothing but the FIRST one by Phuqar, the MP reviews by Giotto and MP, it would give you an excellent roadmap.

It sounds like you stuck to the go-gos which was a mistake in my opinion based on what you wanted. You prbably should have gone to the freelance places or discos or maybe Nana parking lot, etc.

But also if a guy does run and read through all those pages and still can't figure out what is going on! One does have to wonder whether he should be going anywhere unless he goes on a tour!

Sure, he can, but it's pretty damn inefficient and tedious. Think of all the stupid arguments over nothing that are in here. Not to mention all the glowing endorsements of a certain hotel in the soi 33 area. Some people are too busy to sit reading for hours just to glean the tiny % of what's written here that will be useful. This thread is pretty much the opposite of what I'd call organized information.

Or if you don't have PM capability, try to describe it in some kind of coded way so we can figure it out. Though, I'm not going to pay for it, so what do they have? (did you see the link I posted a ways down? How's that compare to what they have at the site you found?

Club for a hombre? There's less information than there is here, and it's older info, but it's just organized better there. Pretty much the same as the link you posted. Having one thread for a huge sin city like Bangkok is bound to end up an enormous mass of chaos.

Agreed, it's the nature of a board like this where stickying isn't possible, since it's one thread that keeps rolling, so it lends itself to ongoing conversation and is built to resist organization. In other forums, there's the possibility of users creating new threads with subject titles they write, which then organizes the info under subjects automatically. And also the moderator can create a sticky post, for example one that woud be the newbie guide. On another forum that's structured like this, we finally came up with the idea of creating a free website out there with the info, then a bunch of regular members putting the link in their signature. Kind of a screwy solution but it's worked fairly well.

This forum is great if you already know the info you're looking for and you want to do a search on it. But if you're a first timer and have no clue what's going on, you're lost here.

About the shuffling on the stage and mamasan's interceding, that's the method that's developed in Bangkok over the years, unfortunately, so you have to adjust yourself to it if you want to have the fullest selection. Best would be to just keep calling down more and more of them until it feels more normal to you, because you're right: trying to mingle with them offstage is extremely awkward. They don't like people wandering around the bar, and if you stay in one spot you can't see too many of the girls well enough to get a good look at them and choose. That's what the stage is for. As for your worst encounter, you just had very bad luck. Try a few more and you'll see it's not that bad: you'll probably meet one you click with that way. Which bar was this by the way?

The one with the glass ceiling in Soi Cowboy. Can't remember the name. The girl turned the lights out and we had some boring sex and then she wanted to leave after 20 minutes. Not a bad girl, we just didn't have the chemistry. I think she thought I was cheating on my girlfriend because I didn't want to bring her back to where I was staying, then she didn't like me because of that.

I took a couple of great ones out of Nana, but I didn't pick them off the stage. One I was seated right next to when I walked in b/c the hostess saw me eyeing her, and the other one was roaming around the bar and came up to me.

In Brazilian termas you end up with about 6 or 7 girls in your lap making out with you, grabbing your dong and putting your hands all over her ass before you make your selection. I guess it's just easier for me to figure out which one I like that way.

1) Although Bangkok is one of the places with most articles here, it is hard to find good summaries that give the reader an overview in a short time.

Can you believe it.

Phoned up my favourite Baccara girl before flying in to BKK. She is in BKK but booked up for the whole week. She is just to cute and lovely personality too. I asked how many boyfriends she has and she claimed she doesn't know. Too many to count perhaps. Girls like this are so popular that they can avoid to refuse to bargain over the cost. Maybe, but if you think about it, "Reports of Distinction" as a title doesn't exactly describe itself as an overall guide to newbies. Not obvious enough. Some will find it, but plenty won't. Should be designed so that fewer miss it.

Actually, new people to the forum would have to click down (Asia > Thailand) first, so it'd make sense to have a sticky thread right there (where they would surely see it) that had a kind of guide. And it should be called Beginners' Guide to Bangkok Nightlife or something totally dummy proof like that. It would make most sense for it to be wiki style where it can be continually updated as things change or better info comes through.

timer, I found it almost impossible to figure out what was going on in Bangkok by reading this forum. I read through all the reports of distinction and read some of the 500 pages in this thread, but it was just huge amounts of disorganized information and I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go and how it all works. I ended up going to ********** and paying for a membership, which I hate doing for any site on the internet, just b/c their info was organized in a way I could understand. )

Maybe there should be a newbies thread that lays out the basic info clearly and concisely and isn't open to long-winded discussions and arguments.

As for Thailand as a sex destination, my main complaint is the girls standing on stage doing shake back and forth with no passion and you having to pick one based on that. I much prefer venues where the girls are free to roam around the places and mingle with the customers and talk to them. I find it easier to tell if I have chemistry with a girl that way. I find it a little weird with the girls not really talking to you unless you explicitly tell the mamasan you want to talk to her. In Bangkok I've only picked one girl off the stage, and it was my worst encounter. The other girls I've had I came to meet more organically in the bar, but there isn't enough opportunity for this to happen for my liking.

One other thing I've noticed is that the girls really don't provide a lot of sexual energy. You have to take control and make it all happen yourself, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preferences. With latin or brazilian girls, for example, they'll provide a lot of the sexual energy and all you have to do to have a great time is match it. But if you want to have a good time with a thai girl, you have to really be the man and take her.

Seriously, you can check out other "meeting opportunities"if you want to get a better sense of the lady's enery level. Beer bars (see Bearsk's post below) , Big Mango Bar, and Livingstone Lodge come to mind, in addition to a bizillion others.

TTG has a fair amount of experience with latin ladies, thanks to part of my mis-spent youth. Thai women are easily their equal, but probably cannot compete with Latinas in the "Best Boobs" contest. Thai ladies just require a lot of street food for energy....

Having said all that, your summary is a decent STARTING POINT for lazy guys who won't take the time you did to read the forum. Yes, the ISG forum is disorganized and is most useful (IMHO) for real-time informatin. I think if you had taken out the negatives, you would have found a round of applause from many guys. I had a general idea, but a lot of the reports end up being "here's a story about my wacky adventures" rather than info you can use.

When you're a newbie you need opening and closing times, best times to go, locations and directions, how it works once you're there, organized descriptions and discussions based around each venue. Practical stuff like that.

Trying to find that in 500 page threads filled with guys who have been there 15 times arguing about stuff is a lot of work.
