But Bangkok may very well be the first ever place where I go multiple times just to hobby. This may not be a good idea, there is so much you can do in a fortnight in Bangkok that you will regret splitting your time, the same would probably be true if you go to Phuket or Chiang Mai. It appears this is your first trip to Thailand. If so I think Pattaya should be included. Pattaya is very easy to navigate with B10 baht busses covering the area you would spend most of your time in. For a first trip I would spend the first 3-4 nights in Bangkok and the next 4 in Pattaya. If you fall in love with Pattaya, spend a few more days there. I would then fly from you-Tapao Airport (45 minutes from Pattaya) non-stop to Phuket. Auto correct prevents me from properly spelling the Pattaya airport name. After a few days in Phuket you can decide if you want to stay in Phuket longer or return to BKK quicker. Just my. 02.
