It always amazes me when the answer to deceased demand is to "just raise prices."

I say the answer to that is "fuck 'em.". Sooner or later the law of supply and demand works (except in the U.S. where socialism is the ideology of the day now) if you let it.

I have been at Annie's last week after a couple of years.It used to be my favourite body massage in Bangkok but I must admitt things changed.They increased the prices 1800 baht for the low quality girls, 2400 baht for the better ones.I went 3 times and only once had a good experience: number 75 the name sounds like four, not great looking but really excellent blow job and rimming. I did not find her the other 2 times I went and was pretty disappointed with girls asking for 500 baht tips or even trying to let me have only one shot.So I am not sure I will visit again when I will be in Bangkok again.

Called in to Long Gun (Lucky Star) and spent sometime chatting to shy Miss Noi (nearly 170 cm but looks very tall in high heel boots). Mixing the terms Muslim and Arab is not exactly correct. One thing to remember is that the Muslim world is very diverse and covers the globe. Hence, on lower Sukhumvit, a Hijab or the Niqaab can be worn by a woman from anywhere, and the guy with the mustache could be your neighbor from Adelaide.

There is a large Muslim population in Thailand, especially in the south, that follows Sharia Law. I live on an Andaman island that is predominantly Muslim. Historically, over the centuries, being great seafarers and fishermen, Muslims migrated across the Indian Ocean and into the China Sea and beyond. China has a very large Muslim population.

If you have big feet and are in the market for a pair of comfortable sandals, the shops between Sois 3 and 5 are the place to go.

I have been visiting AMP, for nearly 30 years, since my first divorce mainly in S.F. Bay Area. Deciding I was going to make up for lost time I hit them all AMP and the White massage too in the East Bay. Being single never bother to look over my shoulder I just walked into the door. I made friends with few Korean girls and especially 1 Thai girl that after years in the business open their own AMP places in PHL, LAX, HNL, and when I visited I hanged out with them and got to try out their goods. I remember when it was 100 USD for FS, now even today after all the years you can get FS for 160 USD. I've had my toes suck, ass rim, cold and hot tea, but you got to pay your dues to get a good provider but in LOS, cost and abilities to just pick and pick and be the man with more than one girl at a time I more than welcome the cost and time to get to LOS, anytime. But I guess if you are locked in and got to get your rocks off, going to a AMP for 160 USD is your only option then one got to do what they got to do!

Someone suggested they come here for medical treatment. Saw some in the hospital today.

I stay at the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit Soi 2 and it always has a lot of Arabs/Muslims there, especially during the summer months when it's packed. The sois across the street (Soi 3 and 3/1) are filled with arab restaurants (especially 3/1) and shops and people. The food is delicious. The JW itself has halal food which are marked at the breakfast buffet so no unsuspecting Muslim would accidentally grab a hunk of pork.

It seems that in all my hours spent in the bars, go-gos and other places of ill repute there though I don't see a lot of the arab guys. Maybe I'm just not looking or maybe they have their own places. They're everywhere on the streets shopping with the street vendors too.

For the most part they don't say much to me and I don't say much to them. I have no issues at all with the situation though. The one annoyance are that some of their kids sort of run amok in the hotel, but I guess all kids do that on vacation.

Bounce Around, I completely concur. BuleDaddy is way off base with this one. I live in Southern California and used to live in San Francisco and to get my fix between BKK trips I frequently hit the AMPs. I also travel all over the US and frequent the AMPs in places like Honolulu, DC, etc.

There just simply isn't any comparison, it's not even close. The best times I've had in AMPs where the experience might approach a GFE still don't touch the experience of having a Thai Girl in your hotel room. The only exception might have been a Korean girl I met in an AMP in Honolulu about 10+ years ago.

If all you want is to get FS with the massage and extras, then fine. But we're all getting way more in Thailand....WAY more!

I'm not even going to address the stuff at the end of his post.

I'm flying back to Bangkok tomorrow and can't wait. I'll try to get a trip out this time.

Having lived in CA, and before that in the midwest. I can say nothing in the AMPs equals the experience or even the good massage as in Bangkok. For some reason costs escape my mind now (its been a few years since I left the states) but I guess 150 is the ballpark for massage+HJ/BJ/fs (at some places you can get one of the three and at others all or none), don't know how its faring in the current economy.

When you add in the cost of travel, having to get time off, possible spouse, and possible stigma of going to BKK alone as a single man. I guess you could be satisfied with the AMP experience. I was for a while. The massage was the primary reason to visit the places; and sometimes I'd rather visit a legit place than get caught with my pants down at an AMP.

Now that I can travel to BKK more freely, am a bit older (none too wiser), and don't have a spouse. And often can add the stop while on work expense, I shudder to think of those dinky AMPs in CA with thier average to fugly girls.

Of course I was exagerating. I would like to explore more of BKK/LOS myself, but get side tracked easily! The two times I tried to visit the Grand Palace I got shammed once into the tuk tuk ride and the other time one of the guards told me closed no more visitors, went to a soapy instead

But, that's my main point in Shanghai vs. BKK. In Shaghai you are more likely to get touted/scammed over a mongering issue (and sometimes fake watches) vs. In BKK if you are a reasonably sound of mind person and RTFF you can monger without the hassle of getting scammed or feeling short changed. (not true for some other areas of China which are safer). In China generally if you want top tier performance and no hassles (LE raids, touts, dark alleys etc.) you will have to go to a higher end sauna.

I've personally never tried the famous Shanghai Hotel Sauna. Something I have to makeup on my next trip. Those upscale massages can be great, especially combined with full service. Though so can an oily/soapy in BKK, the cost is about the same. Though my own POV on that issue is that in China at the upscale places they generally have top tier girls and performers, in BKK you could hit or miss.

Cost of travel, etc. Wise I also believe BKK can be a better option. Especially these days. I had a trip all planned in January which I had to put off, even the hotel was giving me a discount. Hopefully I will be able to get there soon.

You can get washed, a little rimming, a knobber where they put the bag on then a nice boning followed by a good straight up massage w/ $60 for the house and $100 for a nice looking Korean or SE Asian girl at most massage parlours in the Eastern Seaboard. Certain times of the year the weather in Golf countries becomes extremely hot and dry and traditionally well-to-do families would take an extended vacation and would take the entire family and would go overseas. 10-15 years ago, when I used to work in that part of the world, the popular destinations were western countries, however, with the world situation as is and restrictions on who enters western countries, now a days popular destinations are southeast Asia countries such as Malaysia and Thailand. These places provide a cheaper alternative for a extended stay as well as good medical facilities that provide health checkups and possible treatment at a fraction of the cost if it was done in the US or England.

So why do they stay around Nana? One is its close proximity to many Arab embassies in sukhumvit. Second is the big medical facility in that area which caters to "health tourism". And there are many restaurants and businesses that do cater to Muslim/Arab tourists. They mostly started there after this area became popular with these families.

Having spent 2+ yrs in the Middle East, I can take a wild guess, I would say that sweet ole' dad is downtown trying to get his member wet while the rest of his fam are most likely couped up in the hotel awaiting his arrival...
