Don't get a taxi between these two areas: You will be in the taxi somewhere between forever and a day; I have actually got out and walked in the past. Motorbiketaxis are a viable alternative if you are not scared by having your knees brushing against the hard metal of stationary cars for a few kilos .

You will see that Pat Pong is about 4 underground stops from Sukhumvit (Soi Cowboy).

But you gave us the answer: "Pat Pong" and asked us to guess the question about why you might want to go there.
This is backwards.

I go to Pat Pong for Infinity JC Soapy MP, fake Louis Vuiton handbags, etc.
Who knows why you might go there?

There are only occasional reports about Pat Pong as it is known as an area with "rip off" bars, ugly show bars, ladyboy bars, gay bars nearby, etc. There are some BlowJob bars that might be "better".

By all means have a look out of curiosity but its easy to go into the wrong place!

Bottom line is that older men meet more of their needs than younger men. However, looks are important. They have to find you physically attractive or they will not get into the sex and they are just servicing you.

I agree with everything that you said except the quoted bit.
It would be safer to say they might have to find you physically acceptable.
Women all round the world are not always motivated by looks of a guy. I have seen many a pretty girl go for a very plain guy, fat, balding, freckled, older, whatever, because she likes his personality. I include the non P4P scene here.
Girls can indeed enjoy fucking ordinary looking guys. Lets face it. Only a small percentage of guys are really great looking and many of those are gays.

You are right it depends on the girl what she prefer. Just in Thailand or other countries with many poor people, the situation is different because money is more important than anything else.

If you have a situation like in the US or Europe, where woman and man have more or less the same income, the same rights and where is even a certain surplus on men, than you can see what kind of man, woman usually want.

Normally woman choose guys in the same age group. If he is rich or famous, than a bigger age difference is tolerable for them.

Old versus young. I guess it's quite obvious that aging make no one more attractive. Attitude, experience, wisdom and laid back behaviour often grow with age, not always of course. So, some girls might have made better experience with older fellows. For Bargirls this might be important. I do not often barfine bargirls, I prefer to hunt for freelancer girls in Clubs and Discos. There it's so, at least that is my experience, that younger and handsome guys will have more success.

So this is an interesting topic with no absolute rights and wrongs and is probably girl dependent. I have mongered a lot with different girls in different places (Pattaya, BKK, Sing, KL, Penang, Japan, china..) and never been turned down by a girl because of my age or looks. I have asked several girls about this and they said DUH..why would you get turned down. You are not old looking, fat, bald, ugly stinky or mean. Girls are here to make money and you are ok. I am 48 but look younger, reasonably fit and always treat the girls decently. I am no stud but look ok, have my hair and some muscles.

My conclusion is that if the only consideration is a one time sex partner, they would pick a young man because they are better looking and well.. younger. The girls are usually turned off by an excessively ugly man or really fat or with bad BO and a really old man (their grandfather's age). If they really need the money, they will go anyway but they don't like it.

But..the WGs are looking for different things...to be treated well, not f****d to death (usually by a younger man), if they are into the sex they want a good lover (older men are better than younger), chances for a long time relationship or money are better with an older man...older men have more money. They have had better history with older men. They see older men as better providers, better husbands/lovers, better everything. They may even have a "daddy complex".

Bottom line is that older men meet more of their needs than younger men. However, looks are important. They have to find you physically attractive or they will not get into the sex and they are just servicing you.

So the sweet spot is: 40s..50s, not too fat, reasonably attractive, clean, not stingy, treat them nice. If you can meet their emotional needs you can even overcome some unnattractiveness.

Egypt-A third world country? Is it really on the third world list? I`ve been there in Kairo and Sharm but I think I didn`t see the poverty.

The CIA World Factbook reports a 'purchasing power parity' per capita income of $5,500 in Egypt, compared to the $8,700 it reports for Thailand, so it is considerably poorer than Thailand. Of course 'PPP' is, in my opinion, less useful than 'real' income, but that would be even lower for either country. Certainly if you consider as well the extreme level of inequality Egypt and Thailand are both 'third world' or 'developing' countries.

If you have a budget of say USD 5000 to 10,000 for a couple good nights out (5 people) in BKK and/or Pattaya, and were looking to create a "once in a lifetime" type experience (s), how would you spend it?

Feel free to think way out of the box. Also doesn't entirely need to involve sex (though doesn't need to exclude it either), nor does the idea need to spend the entire budget. I'm looking more for creativity and memorability here.

I'll report back on what we ended up doing, how it went, and what other ideas I got from this.
