A little too ironic in the naming of the event as "Goodbye Santika" when it truly was the end of the place and of innocent lives. What a shame. When are people going to learn that you can NOT use pyrotechnics and fireworks INSIDE nightclubs. The same thing caused the deaths of 100 and injuries to over 200 in the US at a club in Rhode Island. Neither of these tragedies had to happen. God rest in peace they're souls.

Big fire in the Santika nightclub in Ekkamai. Sadly 55 people dead. I sincerely ope there are no forumers or their friends/family involved.

Very tragic - undisclosed number of foreigners but I've been in that club and know its very popular with tourists. Hope no ISG members were involved.

I suspect its a classic New Year disaster, revellers being allowed to take firecrackers onto the premises and all exits locked except the main door.

My mid Dec trip was another amazing visit. I was totally stressed about the airport closure but through the grace of buddah my trip was delayed all of about 5 hours which didn't allow us to land until @1am. As I had spent @15 days on TLL I had many phone numbers in hand and now might consider sharing or trading a few. I called my 1st choice, an exceedingly skinny 21 yo, 35 kg, largely my prime type target and by 2am we were meeting at the Dynasty Inn for a much needed roll in the hay. Better part of 2 days and nights mostly w/her until I made up some shit to free myself from her. A decision I later came to question as her availability to me all but evaporated after that. So after my first couple of nights at the DI I moved around the corner to the Sheraton. They upgrade me to a 2 room, 2 bath suite per my premium status, free happy hour and a v nice b'fast. The TLL connections were an entertaining daytime distraction. Meet several at Siam Paragon, some came right to the hotel, but in any event I shagged maybe 10 out of the 13 or so I meet. 2 were on the rag and the 3rd I had to more or less tell her to get naked or leave the hotel as I had another coming in short order. I felt like an ass but I am living w/myself so far. Went to the German Brewery I'd heard about here, good fun, reminded me of the now closed Colliseum. Met a v cute girl there after we had lunch at the Paragon. She was about 20, 40kg, exceptional face and smile but her body was surprisingly loose skinned. So in short I would recommend TLL if you want to meet girls during the day that could pan out to more. I am not a big boob fan per se, but I did grab I out of Rainbow 4, she had only been there a few days and claimed she hadn't been barfined there yet and that I was her 1st farang. Well who knows but she was a screamer and took it like a champ. #77, enjoy her guys, I sure did! So not much new to report other than the TLL additive, which yielded an interesting array of girls some of whom apparently had good jobs and fulfilling lives. I just got on DIA and am planning my 1st trip to the Phils now. Anyone willing to help please PM me.

When I first saw the news report, I was thinking it would be NEP. Out of three trips to LOS and many many days in BKK I have only step foot into NEP twice. It is a potential death trap if a major fire happened.
