I do agree that there is no universally accepted view of beauty. Prices in general, though, do reflect demand and therefore are an indicator of some combination of skills, looks and service. Ambience and exclusivity also has value to some. Yes, some places are marketed better, but without any real value, those places soon disappear. Pegasus has been around for a while.

The girls in Pegasus may not meet your view of beauty, but someone is paying those prices for those girls and must be getting some value for it. In my opinion, you can find girls who look as good or better outside the Eden Club for less baht. What is implied in Eden's pricing and the reason they can charge more is reputation based off prior service levels. You might say "of course the service is better, it costs more".

Your quote you posted of the Taiwan host makes him look like an idiot, and I suspect his view/opinion may not have come across as intended. He may have simply meant that historically, the girls in the higher priced category are better looking or provide better service. Just a guess. As my handle indicates, I also spend a lot of time in Asia and also live in the only State in the US where 50% of the population is Asian (US born and Asia born). I don't know any Asians, friends or business associates, who would be sold on someone's looks just because they are priced higher. They are not idiots and they are not sheep.

Even in the Soapies, the "models" are not always better looking than the other fishbowl girls. Taken as a group, they generally are. I do suspect that they do have a following based on the complete package (skills, looks and consistently good service).

I found that Pegasus was much like Soi 33. Mostly more packaging than substance, but I did have a very good time with one of the girls there a few years back. There are also some stunning woman there from time to time, just like Soi 33. Just don't expect it everytime. They will show you the membership set up, but you do not need to be a member.

I would say it's worth a look, but don't go there if the Soi 33 prices bother you, since it's actually a bit more expensive than they are.

OK, seriously, any time is good but I personally would avoid Christmas and New Years Eve.
Also bear in mind that September/October are the wettest months.

I almost forgot, avoid Songkran unless you like water thrown over you day after day.
Songkran is supposed to be 13th to 15th April but in Pattaya it continues until 19th.

Well stated EP. I couldn't agree more with your outstanding commentary and myself would much rather hook up with a cute busty country looking girl for half or one third the price than a so-called sophisticated model.

Went to Bangkok recently and tried some new things. I have stayed with one lady lately and this was our third trip together, I have not paid her since the first night together, but of course I pay indirectly and it is more expensive then just paying a BF and such, but she’s a good kid and is my tour guide, maid, cook, just everything. So this trip I had to go down to Chonburi and visit a place called ES-TA-TE. It is a tent camp inside khaokeaw zoo. A quick ride down there from BKK but you are out of the city which I enjoy. The tents have air conditioning and a refrigerator so it isn’t like it’s roughing it. The bathrooms are clean and nice. For staying there the food is large and delicious and you get your meals and such, as well as a day safari and a night safari. The next day you can do whate6ver you want, walk around or rent bikes or ATV or whatever. We woke up the one morning with deer and monkey’s right outside our place. Very nice. But more importantly, I had to go and I decided to take this lady along and it turns out that she really had a blast, she said it was one of her most favorite things she’s done. And making her happy, she went out of her way to make me happy.

Another thing we did was on advice of a poster here, we went to Siam Niramit. I enjoyed the show very much and would recommend it to anyone, if you are with a girl or a wife or whatever, it was nice. I liked the little village you can walk around in before the show and would recommend going early. The lady and I had a great evening together and of course she’s never even heard of it, it’s only a year and a half old. But she really enjoyed it, and as such, I got good enjoyment from it afterwards.

Another item we ended up doing was going on Loy Nava dinner cruise. This was nice, they picked us up at the hotel and we board a small rice barge, only about 12 tables, very intimate and private, not like a large disco / dance type barge that are on the river. This evening dinner was very intimate. The meal was very good but it was more of something that the girl would not have done normally.

first time poster here. i am heading to bangkok for a short stay. staying at the davis hotel (88 sukhumvit 24). since i am not familiar with bangkok's geography, transportation, etc. i was hoping someone could recommend some nice massage parlours near the hotel, or if not, ways of getting to nice massage parlours.

requirements:

- i would like to try a soapy massage
- preferably somewhere that offers nice gfe and 2 shots
- not absolutely necessary, but any place that offers bbbj and cim would be nice.
- not too expensive

I know this will probably draw a barrage of RTFF responses, but here goes. Recently divorced, and also dumped at the same time by married Filipina mistress who caused the divorce in the first place, and can't stand the thought of spending the Christmas/New Years holidays here in the USA Alone. Thinking of flying out on Christmas Day to either BKK or MNL for a 3 week holiday. Never been to LOS during the Christmas holidays (last visits were 03-04 and 01-05). Is this a bad time to visit BKK and/otr Pattaya? Is the selction of ladies much less than usual? Given that LOS is not a Christian nation, per se, I would hope that it wouldn't make as much difference as in the Phils. Anyone been to BKK or Pattaya during this time period? What was your experience like? Harder than usual to find good talent?

Another idea might be Muslim Indonesia.

Q Bar and Narcissus have their share, but unless you are young, look like Tom Cruise, have plenty of $$$ and like to play head games you aren't going to get very far.

I'll probably get a little disagreement (maybe some flames) on this, but things are getting a little quiet anyway. So, if $$s are not an issue:

Try Patpong. I know, I know, it is totally cliched and full of tourists, but also, in a way it is the major leagues. I say this because I had not been there for some time and decided to check out some old haunts.
Some of the smaller places, like for example the Safari, are still by passed by the tourists and I found a real nice selection. I guess with the high bar fines and higher prices, it still attracts some of the best.

I took one home and was not disappointed.

Now you can all start to flame me, but I would say if you have not been for a while go back and check it out. I had a very nice experience. More on this later when I have some time.

If you are not really particular about hotels, Xmas and NY would be a great period to visit, but be there 1/2 days earlier.I say this because on Xmas eve, there's always a great street party-like atmosphere along the whole of Soi Cowboy. Ther are FREE buffets and BBQs placed outside of many bars where anyone can partake in. Every joint is lit up with coloured lights and decorated with hundreds of balloons giving the place a great festive spirit. Most of the ladies working in the row are dressed either in red or white or both, many with party hats.

There's even a S C, a farang whom I understand is a resident of BKK, who appears every XMAS eve without fail, passing out chocolates to everyone that's around every hour on the dot from 8 pm.

And when the clock strikes 12, ........., I guess you know the drill.

Just come for the exp., you'll not regret it, esp if you are lonely.

The streets of Bangkok do get a little quie around New Year but it won't stop me. I'll be arriving on Dec 26 and staying first 2 weeks of Jan.

Not all P4P girls go up country at New Year so all will be well.
Find a hot one for a multi-day booking can be a nice option too but
I have my Thai GF to keep me in check.

I have been to Bangkok 14 times and never seen a "10" in the P4P industry, maybe I have been going to the wrong places ----I am not a lover of soapies by the way.
