I haven't been there myself since the November 1 or whenever "re-opening" yet either but a farang friend and his Thai girlfriend went there a few nights ago and said they were required to scan a QR code on their phone, show proof of vaccine, which in their case would have been several months old, and got some kind of ink stamp on their arm apparently to show at every bar. Unlike me, they are drinkers but said not many places were open and it was pretty dead.

But, as we have learned, crowd levels, requirements for bar openings and entry can change by the night or hour in the various Bangkok jurisdictions.

About 2 weeks ago a couple of Sukhumvit Soi 4 bars required customers to scan a QR code on their phone and show their proof of vaccination certificate in order to enter. That lasted 1 night before it was dropped.

In order to get in to Khaosan Road you must be fully vaccinated. Check. If your vaccine is over 6 months old you will pay 100 baht to take a swab test and wait there for the test results before you can enter Khaosan Road. HUH? WHAT? If you test positive for COVID you go directly to the hospital for I assume 10 days quarantine by an ambulance waiting on site to take you. WORTH THE RISK! NOT! Sure sounds like they really want to be rid of the "non-wealthy" backpackers who go to KSR.

What is it about asking to share her Line, BKK is like a brothel. If you can't find a attractive girls for a reasonable price then the problem is you. Have you considered that he got a good price because he knows how to haggle respectfully and your don't. Have you considered that women might generally find him more attractive than they find you. You getting her Line doesn't remove the problem with you not being able to get a good price, that problem being you.

This girl didn't quote or mention any rate to me before, during or after the session. So I suppose some guys here would consider me to be a chump for giving her any money at all on her way out. But I put 1,500 on the table next to her purse with a couple of 100 baht notes folded next to it while she was taking her post-sex shower and she seemed fine with it. Big hug and kiss goodbye at the door and sweet Line messages from her afterwards.

When they quote 2,000 do you counter with less and see if they are ok to split the difference?

Personally, if the girl initiates a quote upfront that is at least within the realm of realistic if she's going to rock my world in the room, I tend not to counter with a lower amount or reject her wish amount. I immediately shift the topic to what I want her to do if I paid this wish amount quote of hers; "Sweetheart, I would be happy to give you 3,000 if you stay Long Time (all night until morning), we kiss with our tongues gently touching, your pussy is shaved, no hair, we kiss and lick each other here and here and then we boom boom without a condom (fill in the blanks with whatever does it for you)."

She might totally agree with a smile right away, in which case I am fine with the deal too assuming I really want to fuck this one tonight and it is my preferred time of the evening to walk hand in hand into paradise with the young lady around 9-10 pm with no anticipation that there will be another word spoken about can or can't on those issues.

But if she balks on any of it that's when my lower counter offers begin. Hell, it might go down from 3,000 for whatever she thought she could pawn off as enough sexual activity for the money to a Short Time with DFK and BBBJ+CIM for 1,000 or 1,500 if it's no hurry and she Swallows like a good girl instead of spitting it out like a grizzled old granny farmer.

In the above particular group of requests, Long Time/All Night is often the first to go, she either can't or won't do LT, and that's fine with me. In fact, I always request it even though it really isn't too important to me that they stay to sleep all night just to give them a bargaining chip to play and feel like they won something. But the amount I would agree to will have dropped by 1,000 or more as well.

There is nothing chiseled in stone about this for me. It's just that I have always felt whatever serious problems there too often are or can be with the Thai P4P scene, the "cost" of it isn't one of them. But the quality of the service you get for your time and money is.

That's why I don't see negotiating down from 3,000 baht to 1,000 baht as any victory at all unless it is made clear upfront what I'm going to get for that 1,000 baht. Therefore, my first response or counter for any baht amount quote initiated by a girl here is not a lower baht amount. At that point the baht amount is irrelevant, it has no meaning. X amount "for what?"

No, my first response is a stated minimum level of service I'd need to get in order to so much as consider giving her anything close to that quote or no deal, thank you sweetheart, nice meeting you, bye and take care.

    Lolita's?

I keep waiting to hear someone mention it on here but I have some on the ground reporting that the owner of Lolita's committed suicide within the last week. Don't know any other details, or even if the owner is Thai or Farang but figure I would post it to see if this can be confirmed. Obviously, they have been closed for quite a while and the likelihood of their opening even on the latest proposed Jan 15th date remains in doubt.

Tie them up, gags them, and shoves his feet in their mouths. But strangely, sex is done with a condom on. So I wonder who is the pot and who is the kettle?
    ...
Lol. See, some of this is so confused and confusing it isn't easy to tell if you are posting any report from your own experiences or if they have all been from your buddy. Wouldn't it be easier for him to simply think up a nic of his own, sign in and post these reports himself?

Yes, I admit I forgot that either he or you said "last Saturday night" instead of "last night" in my reply to a report before. But his or your clarification that he actually might have turned left and walked down that passage on the previous Saturday night came several days later. And he also said he took a girl from there "another" night or time. So was that the Wednesday or Thursday I misunderstood it to be or does that one go all the way back his first walk by when he assessed the talent to be "yuck"?

Which one of you was the one who claimed to be "in Thailand 20 months now" yet are only recently discovering there are many Ladyboys just about everywhere in the red light districts? That and the claim that there were only about 50 girls and 20 customers combined in the Soi 7 collection of bars at 8:15 last Saturday night (are you sure it wasn't Sunday or more like 5PM?) was at least worth asking for a follow-up confirmation in case they were typos. It's possible. I do it all the time. I think many of us are typing these out with our thumbs on a narrow smartphone keyboard.

And I gotta' ask; Are those girls he has paid, fucked and video recorded hundreds of times so he and you can relive the glory of it all for years to come the "yuck" girls or are they the top of the line super hot girls he or you specializes in taking who would rarely be desperate enough to accept 1,200 - 1,500 baht anyway but apparently do so in exchange for knowingly or unknowingly being video recorded bound and gagged with his feet shoved in their mouths before or after he fucks them with a condom?

Gets his feet in there around the gag, does he? And if they refuse to DFK him after that it is going to be one of the weirdest and most perplexing revelations yet.

Inquiring minds want to know in order to less our confusion (wink).

    Pre Curfew

I do notice the police turn up at soi 11 and soi 7 around 9 or 10 on most nights. I guess they don't want the places to just go nuts and completely disregard the rules with drinking into the morning. A controlled braking of the rules seems to be in place.

Ironically when there was a curfew in Bangkok of 9 pm, the little curtain "restaurants" on soi 11 still operated after 9 pm. I was home by that time but could see patrons still thinning out to say 10 pm on most nights. There were even taxis and motobike taxis lined up to take the patrons home.

The last 30 days of the 9 pm curfew was definitely a "soft curfew" as opposed to the lock them up on the spot first curfews in 2020.

In thailand there are rules, but many are mere guidelines controlled but each area or province. Unless you come accross the wrong cop or really f**k up.

When police raid an illegal bar, typically everyone gets hauled down to the station, even those not drinking alcohol.

You would be right to be wary about that as would any of us. However, I don't think the current issue is with customers drinking alcohol in these bars. Serving alcohol is definitely an issue and there are reports of bar staff being arrested for that. But if the bar is serving drinks in paper cups and mugs, despite the fact that it is an "open secret" that they are serving alcohol in some if not most of them, it is a stretch to say the police would round up and arrest every patron in a place where alcohol was being served to some patrons that way. In my case, all I would likely have in front of me is a club soda or coke in one of those cups. Everyone sitting in a bone fide restaurant in Bangkok on any day or night of the week could be rounded up and arrested for that even if some of them had no beverage at all on their table and had no idea some people at other tables had booze in their cups.

It could be the authorities in that jurisdiction are willing to accept the strained but workable pretense that some of those places are not exactly "entertainment venues or pubs" or "restaurants" but are legally allowed to be open and operate in the same way a storefront venue or a street cart serves coffee, tea, juice, water and sodas. In that way, they could be open legally well before the official old December 1st or new mid-January 2022 date for "entertainment venues and pubs", but not legally allowed to serve alcohol. Therefore it is the people serving the alcohol to some customers who are at risk, not the patrons.

Instead, it appears issues that can trigger a full bar round up are things like "inadequate ventilation and congestion" and not about some customers drinking alcohol that has been served to them.

    https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand...ightclubs-bars
Dr Taweesilp said on Friday the Covid task force remained worried that the reopening of night entertainment businesses could lead to more infections if no appropriate measures had been in place. Inadequate ventilation and congestions were among its key concerns, he added.
    https://aseannow.com/topic/1237010-6...humvit-soi-23/
Thong Lor Police arrested 61 people after carrying out a raid at a bar on Sukhumvit Soi 23.

Police said they received a tip off that alcohol was being served on the 2nd floor of the bar.

Upon visiting the premises, police said that as well as finding alcohol being served, many people were dancing, increasing the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Police said they found receipts which confirmed the sale of alcohol.

Police said they arrested 61 people in total, 26 men and 35 women, all of whom were charged with violating the emergency decree and Communicable Diseases Act.

The bar's owner was also charged with serving alcohol.

Those arrested were taken to Thong Lor Police Station for processing.
When I saw the boys in brown standing around right outside the passage off Soi 7 next to Random Bar last night about 8PM it is very likely they were waiting to see just how crowded and busy the place was going to get. I can't see how poor ventilation would be an issue there. But over crowding sure can be an issue on their busiest nights. Of course, it wouldn't be issue if only 50 girls and 20 customers showed up at 5PM, 8:15PM, 9PM or any other time. But when it is as crowded and busy as I have seen it on Friday and Saturday nights over the past several weeks, I suppose it is very possible the authorities would have to do something about it. And I certainly be wrong about it, but I'm guessing in those cases they wouldn't just start rounding up and arresting everyone before they at least told the bar owners to close down and start clearing people out first.

I also suspect just the sudden appearance of a few boys in brown is enough to thin out the crowd at bit at a moment's notice.

    1. he reported first. "As for the rest of Soi 4, I only walked to Hillary 2, which was open, a bit busy, with some live music and lots of people, but not my cup of tea. I never hung out there even in when Bangkok was at its best. The talent just isn't there. It's like a has been type of atmosphere with bad karaoke, filled with fake laughter. Just too weird for me."

You responded after. "he also never mentioned anything about Hillary 2 on Soi Nana / Soi 4 being open at the time of his first report, one of the largest beer bars on that soi offering food, drink, pool, girls."

    (Hiliary 2 was clearly written).

    2. he reported first. "There are a few make shift bars with music and people behind curtains on that same Soi (referring to Biergarten which is 7), just to the left as you make your way in. But once again, the talent level was simply yuck. Not a very happening place to be. It's the same feeling you get the you walk into a GoGo bar, and there are a bunch of fuglies trying to dance on stage, the mamasan comes and says "you can choose," and you just want to leave, but too embarrassed for them (not you). Yeah, it's like that."

You responded after. "tell him to walk "down" Soi 7 a short distance some evening and make a left turn into the collection of a dozen or so bars often packed with girls, many Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong go-go girls as well as Thermae girls (from normal times) looking for customers and ready to party."

(Sure sounds like the same Soi here, but different beer goggles).

    3. he reported first. "So I walked into those Soi 7 beer bars last Saturday night as well. There seems to be some glorification of of what's going on the ground. The girls remind me of lower end Soi 6 girls. Really. It wasn't packed 200 plus, maybe 50 girls (for all the clusters of bars total) at the most and the customers that were "young, fit, fairly good looking athletic guys" were not there. I only saw about 20 expat customers and this was at 8:15 pm."

You responded after. "So you stopped by those bars on Wednesday or Thursday night and apparently still saw about 50 girls there."

    (Saturday was clearly written).

    4. You reported first. "However, since all those bars have been rocking, packed with tons of girls and were legally permitted to be open since at least November 1. "

He responded after. "Bars and entertainment venues have not been allowed to open in Bangkok as of November 1st. What has been allowed is venues serving food (mainly restaurants), that have been SHA certified to be able to serve alcohol unit 9 pm. These approved establishments will have an SHA certificate proudly displayed with a certificate number that is registered in a database."

(The word legally should have never been used. Can get people in trouble. Nothing is legal about these police traps).

    5. You reported first. "Today I was told by one of my go-go girl favorites that some Nana Plaza go-go bars will re-open on November 16. I have not heard anything about Soi Cowboy go-go bars or Patpong go-go bars specifically but I assume if they can re-open in Nana Plaza they can re-open anywhere in the city."

Richard Barrow has reported after. "Jan 15th at the earliest."

(Who listens to Gogo bar girls about legal shit anyways?

So I have to ask once more, are you sure you are okay? Just a wellness check pal. And now to my buddy's final report below.

I find it very odd how there is no mention of ladyboys working at these horseshoe cluster of beer bars on Soi 7 and at Random. Spot them the first time I walked in. There are a shit load and they are mixed in with the girls. There is even a silly pole stage with one or two dancers. Funny how the expats who are supposed to be reporting, leave it out about the ladyboys. Wonder why? And no the do not openly serve booze. Few bottles liquor are locked in a silver cooler and everything else like mixers, are in one of those blue coolers you see with the beach chair vendors. Cups are opaque large plastic ones used at kids birthday parties. The bill handwritten doesn't specify alcohol, so yes it's all down low, not in the open. The venues know they are breaking the law. There is a very talented lesbo tom who sings in the mic at Random. She gets pissed when I try to pinch her tits. Talent is there in her voice though.

To his credit, the talent at these Soi 7 beer bars seems to be getting slightly better than before, but still only a handful I would mess with. I took another one just last night. She was young, taller, skinny, long hair, dyed with two different colors right and left (light and dark). No barfine needed. I did buy her a drink. These girls told me they don't work for the bar. They can come and go as they please. The bars don't have any money to pay a guaranteed salary. So if anybody paid a barfine, they probably were silly enough to pay barfines at Thermae as well. Unless they were just joking and telling a fantastic story with more holes than Swiss cheese. They are desperate freelancers. 1000 baht 1 hour for her with one leg raised on the window sill, fucking her from behind, while pinching the shit out of her cllt, with her titties pressed against the glass. She screamed pretty loud when my thumb went into her ass. I think some might have noticed, but who cares. Wonder why girls forget where your fingers have been when you shove them in their mouths? Luckily it was close to 9 and not many people walking on the BTS skywalk. Some but not many, I was kinda busy. You can look at porn with no problem, but want to cry about voyeurism. Funny. One more time. There is no barfine because all entertainment venues are supposed to be closed.
Oh, so he did mention that Hillary 2 was open but that he "only walkied to" it. My bad. Apparently he did not "hang out there" because during normal times it was not his cup of tea. Well, at least it was a useful report that one can "walk" there, look inside but not necessarily "hang out" there.

Sorry, but the way he described bars with curtains and people behind them in that first report is simply nothing like what would have been the case if he had turned left off Soi 7 and walked down that passage (not "just to the left" on Soi 7). As I said, there are a couple of empty cubicles with the entrances covered entirely by mesh curtains "just to the left" as you walk in Soi 7. But that is not where the bulk of those Soi 7 collection of bars is. You have to turn left and walk down that passage.

You really only saw about 50 girls and about 20 customers in those Soi 7 bars last Saturday night? My god, what time of night was that? 5pm? Maybe that's why it did not register with me that you were talking about Saturday night and not a much quieter night. There were easily 200+ girls in those Soi 7 bars that Saturday night and maybe 100+ customers.

They were packed with girls again tonight, Friday night. Easily 200+ at 8pm, same as last Friday and Saturday nights. I would say certainly plenty of options between "super hot girls" you seemed to mistakenly think I reported and "yuck" girls your friend might have only seen in the couple of bars ON Soi 7 that time.

Random Bar was so busy and it took the very fuckable young girl who grabbed me as I was heading back out to Soi 7 through that passage so long to get her and me a drink she said forget it, just take me to your room for ST. No LD, no barfine, no unpleasant surprises in my room. Another displaced go-go dancer in waiting. Very satisfyiing DFK, BBBJ, BBFS+CIP Real Sex. No hurry from about 8:30pm until Midnight, 1,500 + 200 for taxi.

Nov. 1 was a kind of "Grand Re-Opening" date for most of the beer bars on Soi 4, Soi 7, Soi 8 and Soi 11. I notice tonight the Soi 11 bars did not even bother with the curtains. The boys in brown were definitely present and accounted for on Soi 7 right next to Random Bar.

Apparently, whoever it is that makes the determination that a venue in the district can be open legally until a certain hour of the night has done so for all those bars. So far.

Oh, and did you miss the Subject Title for my post regarding November 16? About it only being a Rumor, not a News Report from a go-go dancer that go-go bars might reopen then? It was highlighted in black at the very top of the post as usual. If you really didn't see it or my subsequent characterization of it as a Rumor in at least one other post and not as a News Report from a go-go dancer, you might look into that wellness check you mentioned.

Btw, wasn't December 1st a possible target date for some of these things in "real" news sources referenced and posted by a few members here? Guess those "real" news sources got it about as right as a Rumor from a go-go dancer.

Pointing out that Ladyboys can be in the mix on the street, in beer bars, online, the dating sites, massage shops, even in many go-go bars, everywhere in Thailand, would scarcely be something of a big news item. How many months have you been here again? Actually, the availability of Ladyboys isn't a topic particularly encouraged on this site. But if you are looking for some, they are practically everywhere.

For everyone else, Buyer Beware at all times.
