Too bad, she was cute.

Just heads up bro. I was walking to there the other night. The entire street including the little side cart bars were dark. Random Club had the metal doors pulled down. The alley bars had lights on and I can hear some people chattering, but no music. There was police in the brown uniforms on motorcycles by the entrance. They tell me not open. I was little scared and kept walking. Maybe I will try the sideliners next. I like white skin girls.

What time was that? Random Bar does usually close and they pull down those metal doors at about 9 pm.

Tonight, all the bars on Soi 7 and all but 2-3 beer bars on Soi 4 were open. The bars on Soi 8 and Soi 11 were all open. There were so many bars open from Thermae, which has not opened yet, to down Soi 4 to the Soi 6 intersection the available girls were spread out everywhere, not concentrated as much in those Soi 7 bars as before.

I only stopped by Soi 7 at about 7 pm, quickly picked up a tight body young girl for ST and did not cruise past those and other bars again until just before 9 pm. Then I went home. But they were all open at that time too. Just passing by it appeared to me some of the better looking girls were in Hillary 2 on this night.

It really is unpredictable from one night and hour to the next right now. If anyone is interested in that option for picking up girls these days, it is best to cruise by as many of the bars on those sois as possible and not take the conditions on any one bar area as a sign for what's available on a given night. It can be dead on one soi and a party on the next.

I've passed through the Soi 7 complex a few times over the last couple of weeks at different times of the evening and must say I was less than impressed each time. As one poster said, talent was similar to the low end of Soi 6 in Pattaya. After getting used to the looks of the sideline gals, which has been my only hunting ground since early this year, the gals on 7 are really hard on the eyes. Yes, it takes a lot of time and effort to weed through the chaff with sideliners, but for me the effort is well worth it. I totally get your approach and I would do the same thing if I was here a long time. But for those of us who might only be here a week or two, I'm wondering if there's a way to speed up that process. A board member is taking me to see the hotel girls this weekend, so that might do the trick, but I'm sure others wonder how to best attack the problem. I was surprised by the number of cute girls in Soi 7 the first night I walked through there, but there were fewer winners the second night. I do think most average looking guys could walk in there and find some girl that fits his type, but maybe I'm too optimistic. I don't know about prices.

I have walked around soi cowboy during the day and at night several times over the last few months. At daytime there are many street food vendors outside the bars that line the soi. It is interesting to see Bacarra outside tables being used as a small food court during the day. At night it is completely dark at the moment with the exception of 1 small bar towards soi 21 and there is some activity at the other end around kazykosy. Everything else is completely dark. You do see small groups of thais hanging around in the dark having a beer, but I assume they work there maintaining the very closed bars.

All bars are closed up but you can see in many of them. Most of the furniture is just sitting inside gathering dust. I am sure when things open they will all be cleaned up and spring back into action. The businesses that did not survive will come back with different owners.

I have stayed at Four Points Sheraton, circa 15 minutes walk from Bangla. Nice new hotel with two great pools. It is located in the beginning of Patpong beach.

And I agree with CIMguy. Phuket was way more relaxed and interesting from nightlife perspective.

I understand and appreciate what you're saying, Goatscrot. But, as I recall, you're mostly a "cum on" punter who much prefers to pull out and cum on the girl's face, stomach, wherever rather than a "cum in" punter who much prefers to stay inside for a BBFS+CIP or BBBJ+CIM, right? If so, your preference is ideally suited to those lovely young and always safety-first sideliners who I imagine are not going to do either of those latter options nearly as willingly and hassle-free as the girls on the ground in any beer bar, go-go bar and so on. On the issue of barfines at those Soi 7 bars, although there are certainly some freelancers passing through on their way to or from the front of (closed) Thermae, some who primarily work Tinder, ThaiFriendly and so on where there is no barfine involved, that collection of bars does NOT currently follow the Thermae freelancer business model with every girl at every bar.

For example, there are several girls in those Soi 7 bars who only hustle Ladydrinks and drinks for you but don't go with customers (well, not directly, that is). Right away you can see that is nothing like meeting a girl in Thermae where there is no such thing as a Ladydrink for which the girls get a commission or a barfine to pay the bar before taking a girl out of the bar.

Btw, I recommend anybody ask the girl if she goes with customers for Short Times or Long Times before buying her or yourself a drink at her bar if possibly having sex with her is part of your plan. Wait for a clear Yes or No to that simple question before settling in to order a drink. And if it is No, there is nothing wrong and everything right about smiling, thanking her and moving on to a girl who will have sex with you if the notion occurs.

It can also be the same as it is in Thermae in some cases; no Ladydrink, no LD commission, no barfine.

What you described is a common scenario in those Soi 7 bars; the girl and the bar have an arrangement where her presence has enough value to the bar in terms of drawing customers to sit and buy drinks that they provide her with a commission for every Ladydrink that is bought for her. Some girls might get a more generous commission than others.

Therefore, it is also understood that the bar suffers a bit of a loss by that girl's absence if she is taken out by a customer, right? Hence, a barfine is "charged" to take her out.

So, you took her out on a trip and paid for it?.

Yes, but what paid for was a Long Time from 8:30 pm until mid-morning the next day. In that case we settled on 2,000 baht + 500 barfine, DFK, shaved pussy, BBBJ and BBFS+CIP all fully and happily agreed to upfront in the bar before I decided to take her. Great real GFE all night. So there was no need to get to my room quickly as would have been my choice if it was only a Short Time. We were in my room, showered, naked and well into it by 10 pm that night.

Let me try and summarise from info posted here. For Bangkok.

1. The alleys in soi 4 & 7 have bars open. But they start to close from 9 pm. Allowance is given with cops on the watch in the alleys and given some allowance to clear the place, possibly up to an hour (10 pm). The smaller alleys have more bars (alley within alley) but they still adhere to the 9 pm alcohol ban.

Freelancers are widely available in soi 4 & 7 bars, with better quality ones in the smaller alleys.

2. The agogo bars are not open. Nana, Soi Cowboy, Patpong.

3. Thermae is not open. But there are many freelancers standing on the street outside. Not able to separate who are the ladyboys & real girls.

4. The beer bars in patpong are opened to 9 pm, same as soi 4 & 7. But not the agogo bars.

5. Heard that clubs in khaosan are opened too. Maybe till 9 pm as well? Beware of covid test scams.

6. "Sensual" massages are open as usual, at least most of them. But with less girls available.

A few weeks ago I paid a 500 baht barfine to take a girl out of one of those Soi 7 bars at about 8:30pm because while chatting at the bar I learned she had just returned to Bangkok from her outlying province and had not yet seen what was happening anywhere in the area except Soi 7. So I wanted to take her out early enough to give her a ride on my motorbike to see what things were like on Soi 4, Soi 8, Soi Cowboy and parts of Sukhumvit while those bars, if any, were still open. Then we stopped in at a bar on Soi 11 for a drink before that one closed.

It was a fun tour of the red light district in a state of semi-closure that she had never witnessed before. Worth the 500 baht barfine with that one.

I haven't been to Bangla in a month, but I think Bangla was more relaxed and open in the sense that nobody is worried about getting in trouble and you don't need to be careful about having a beer. Bangkok will always have more girls and a wider variety of girls. I think if you want to relax, play some pool, and not worry about having fun or taking precautions, I would probably say Bangla is better. Otherwise, Bangkok might be a better destination for you.

Bangkok will always have more girls and a wider variety of girls. I think if you want to relax, play some pool, and not worry about having fun or taking precautions, I would probably say Bangla is better. Otherwise, Bangkok might be a better destination for you.
