As for the efficacy of the Phizer and most likely Moderna vaccine, which I have taken, read this news article by Lynn Allison.
Thursday, 25 February 2021 10:15 AM.
"A study of over half a million inoculated people found that two doses of the Pfizer vaccine is 94% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 in all age groups.
According to CBS News, results of the Israeli study in collaboration with experts at Harvard University were published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.
“The study provides the first large-scale peer-reviewed evaluation of the effectiveness of a COVID-19 vaccine in a nationwide mass-vaccination setting,” said researchers at the Chalit Research Institute in Israel.
Researchers also found that even after one dose, the vaccine helped prevent serious illness and death. While most data about vaccine efficacy has been gathered from controlled clinical trials, Israel’s speed in vaccine rollout provided the ideal opportunity to evaluate real-world statistics.
The total study involved 1.2 million people, according to CBS News, and demonstrated that one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine provides 57% protection against symptomatic infections after two weeks. One shot also was 62% effective in preventing severe illness. That number rose to 92% after the second dose.
At the time of the study, the dominant strain of the virus was the U.K. variant, so the results reveal that the Pfizer vaccine is effective against that mutation. Pfizer and BioNTech announced Thursday that they have begun an evaluation on the safety and benefit of a third COVID-19 vaccine to protect against emerging variants of the virus.".
Good news is good news.

You do realize Thailand is a military dictatorship right? OK it may be called something else but that's what it really is. The common people have no say in it. Some like to travel and millions have someone who works in a tourist related industry, others are scared of covid. The real reason Thailand will be super careful is because those in power want to stay there. Country stays closed cases low = they maintain their positions and keep lining their pockets. They open the country up and maybe it turns out ok but if a massive covid wave hits there will be protests and they could be ousted from power. They care nothing for the plight of the common people, but like most politicians do whatever it is that keeps them in power the longest.

Posts: 360Thai air have flogged off all their long haul jets so are not expecting things to pick up any time soon. Along with BA and other airlines. They were verging on bankruptcy.

Posts: 76A few Soi Cowboy go-go's were open, just as reported below. There was dancing, but not nearly as many girls as usual. I think Crazy House had about 10, with various amounts of clothing. Only one was really to my liking, so I bought her a drink. The girl wanted the expensive drink, but I went full Cheap Charlie and got the regular drink. I had a good time, with a little grinding and gentle groping, but she was off in about 4 minutes. She must have some internal egg time that she set to "soft boiled". Would she have hung out longer with the expensive drink? I don't plan to find out. The staff seemed more aggressive than usual about lady drinks. Every 2 minutes they came to bring a girl or point one out. The prices here were the same as usual, whereas some other bars seemed to have promotions. I feel like Crazy House is just for looking (maybe the most nudity in town?); I get better customer service elsewhere.

The govt has scared the BeeJesus out of them.
I'm thinking, guessing, 2022 at the earliest is when we will be let in.
Looks like we will be outfitted with Dog collars to Keep track of us. LOL.
Could be embarrassing. Out of 100 nights I'll be at Nana Plaza 97 nights.

I know because I was one of those strays a few times. Lol. In fact, my previous post several days ago about not wanting to "snitch" on go-go bars that were breakng the rules and staying open was mostly about Kazy Kozy. But I did not want to name it.
About last night. I stood at the closed door of Crazy House, around the corner, actually on Soi 23, and talked with the long time mamasan, asked her if Crazy House was going to open last night. She said no and that it would open "tomorrow" (tonight). But that I could go around to Kazy Kozy if I wanted.
Maybe Kazy Kozy will really be closed now that other bars are open.

Again, I just wonder if some aren't opening up yet because of Friday. Or maybe they're calling it quits like a sports bar on Nana (source: https://thailand.businessesforsale.c...-for-sale.aspx); Strikers?
And it's only the beginning of 2021.

Posts: 539Borders opening for vaccinated hobbyists
Thailand may soon open up to those vaccinated. This is great, as I have had a year of sex prison USA and have some major catching up to do. I miss the pleasure of discrete BJ and chablis in a limo to / from the airport, especially early morning arrives. It is a shame I cannot take the girls with me because of stupid visa rules. USA should offer a 3 month "special companion" visa (limit of 3 per sponsor simultaneously).
Some Japanese friends had an awesome TH holiday, rented a villa with a pool, brought all their favorite booze, and were cooked for, massaged, sex on tap and a great bunch of friends having a great time. They even taught the girls how to make expert cocktails and serve them poolside, and of course a BJ for waking up does without saying.
This is the way life should be. Not chained to some old, saggy, entitled fat American sow.

No go-go bars in Nana Plaza opened early last night, but a few beer bars did; Morning Night, K&S, Hillary 2, Hillary 1 (the restaurant was already open before). Down Soi 4 and round the corner on Soi 6, Hang Out Pub was open. Further down on Soi 4 the new-ish LB bar, Why Not?, formerly Swan Bar, was open.
The outside sign lights and indoor lights were on and 2-3 girls in street clothes were sitting at L0litas and Kasalong BJ bars.
Thermae remained closed last night but I was told by some girls outside that it will reopen tonight.
Bar staff at most bars said they will be closed on Friday for another one of those "monk days" or whatever.
