Yes, Thai citizens are not required to take the PCR test.

If you want to be sure to travel with all people who have taken the test, you must choose those airline companies that have the obligation to covid-test for all passengers like KLM. If you use Emirates (for example), on the first leg you will be flight with alot of passegers that have not been tested.

My first condo in Thailand was only 32 sqm and that was fine living alone. It all depends on your lifestyle in your home country I guess.
We talking about spending 15 nights, 24 hrs a day in a 20/25 sqm hotel room, IMHO this is completely different. In your home country you can usually leave your apartment everytime you want during the day / night or have guest. In ASQ you are locked in your room alone 24 hrs a day, so a 40/50 sqm is certainly better than a 20/25 sqm. IMHO.

    I don't think so

One would think that the Airlines would put all their passenger's safety first, regardless of country of origin.

I think measures are tightening up now.
Why are 16 arrivals today testing positive?

You were not confined there 24/7 for 15 days.

Just an update, I canceled my trip planned for April 30. The ASQ was going to cost around $1400 USD. When I first was considering the trip I thought it would be less than half that. I should have done more research before booking. Also, the visa requirements and all the hoops I would need to jump through just to (hopefully) be allowed in the country were too much of a logistical nightmare. While certainly doable, my budget and intentions while traveling didn't line up with what reality would be when I arrived. Thanks for weighing in over the past few days. I look forward to catching up in the future! Happy and safe adventures, gentlemen!
I recently did my time and in a large 2 room place for considerably more than 42 K. It was still hell. But the baht was weaker 2 months ago. I didn't Google an updated ASQ hotel list so maybe it has since changed but there used to be many under 42k baht (1400 USD). There were around 10 of them around or less than 32k baht. Some were just over 25k baht which isn't expensive for 14/15 nights. These prices include meals and transportation.

Yea, the 1400 I think is minimum. Some quarantine hotels are much nicer and charge much more. Normal hotel fees (non quarantine) are about half that ($50/ day). Good luck in your future efforts to visit Thailand when travel restrictions are lifted!

The only reason why I suggested it was only because I believe (my personal opinion) people come to the Bangkok forum to learn or be up to date about all things related to Bangkok. Same for massages.

Now I don't want to point fingers, that's not the point of this post, but tell me how the below post in any way relates to Bangkok:

I believe it's ok to stray from time to time, but COVID is a huge topic which I believe deserves it's own space. If I want to discuss Covid in General, in its own thread that is perfectly fine, but when I go to a specific thread (be it BKK, Pattaya, CNX, HKT.) I at least expect the Covid discussions to be somehow related to these places.

As a moderator, it would be very easy to move the COVID discussions if there was such a place, now, there is nowhere to put them. Also, a COVID Thread could have stickies about immigration updates, visa requirements during this pandemic, now the info is so scattered, it's not easy to find also.

I may be wrong, it's just a discussion and an opinion.

Now, since I am in the Bangkok Thread, let's talk mongering. Many shops / bars have closed but the girls are still in business. Some have opened their own LINE accounts where they share their services, photos, and make bookings with their clients. You can visit their room if they have one or they come to you.

I was quoted 2,100 thb for 90 minutes from a slim cutie. (No, sorry but I'm not sharing any contacts if I do not know you. This protects both the girls and myself).
I hope I get it right and all of it for you?

As I noted I just go with the flow, a poster posted what you quoted I merely just gave my opinion to his post whether it should or shouldn't have been there.

Yes if you go to the Bangkok post you should read something related to Bangkok but as noted no one ever stays in the topic lane and I mean no one. Sure the moderator can move or start a thread but as I noted based on the history of the moves people still don't follow people, in general, are lazy they aren't going to run down the forum front page and look for Virus discussion example the massage it was split or reorganized it went unused for 8 years until last month so in my opinion, it would just add to the mess and we will in time end up talking about it again and again?

I agree with the statement you quoted that would have been more suited in general or even a private virus thread it not being it kind of proves my point above people are lazy or just don't get it! There is another website that can't mention you talk about people who don't get I've concluded it is just part of life and as you get older the more it shows up.

I can't speak for the poster but the Virus even you noted has affected so much of our lives it has affected the p4 p as never before Bangkok, Pattaya, worldwide it isn't going to go away and it will affect where people even post?

When you look at the ISG Table of content if that is what one is going to call it? It is never going to happen because it wasn't created by a webpage professional to do what you suggest it would need to be completely revamped.

In the end, I just go with the flow! Enjoy keeping those reports coming good luck!

Now I don't want to point fingers, that's not the point of this post, but tell me how the below post in any way relates to Bangkok:

Fauci reports extremely simplified versions of the current scientific understanding of the virus and disease. As more research is conducted, the understanding evolves and improves. Regarding his recommendations for society actions, those recommendations will evolve as the virus grows and (hopefully) shrinks.

To each his own but you make a great point! I'm in no way of flaming anyone especially Nic, he has been here longer than I but in all the years on ISG I've never suggested a new thread, and here is why based on the history of this website. When people enter the site for Thailand scroll down and look at how many Threads of discussion there are particularly check the dates! Remember close to 20 years ago when I first came on there was like 8 threads sure there are some that were created that are very useful but the majority created due to suggestion is nothing but a wasteland. Remember NicF the guy Giotto? Or the reason why I fought tooth and nails for OldThaiHand as to why he shouldn't have been banned to have his own thread?

As I noted freedom comes with a price sometimes too much isn't a good thing someone doesn't feel the topic suits them at a given moment "let's have a new thread " being a moderator it isn't easy at times they want to make everyone happy be fair and balance so they create a Thread without really thinking scroll down the front page people see the future and history of such a suggestion. No matter how many Thread is creating it is impossible to stay on topic everything is related in one way or another the forum is a discussion, not a book on one topic there isn't one person past or present who hasn't stray from a topic including those who make such suggestion. You got posters talking about bareback, safe sex, types of condoms, prices, looks, number system for looks who is overpaying, type of condoms that are used, why don't we give E. Tooms his own forum like Giotto since the virus he has dominated the Thread? Why don't we have a thread for every possible topic of discussion that goes for more than two days or a subject we don't feel is of interest? Be careful what you wish for?

I once was given a warning for being argumentative since I differ from the poster racist and prejudice opinion it was considered argumentative hell there isn't a post or response that doesn't fall close to that definition. Right now when it comes to the opinion of the Virus people read articles and want to express their view and how it might affect the P4 P particularly in Bangkok or Pattaya it is all relevant in some manner. The General Thread was created for " General topic " which really was one of the best moves but recently someone came on and suggested the topic in the discussion shouldn't be in the general thread. Who decides what actually belongs where and when?

Every topic someone doesn't like if people take the time and do some research go to your most popular Thread go back pages and read sooner or later the hot topic of the day will die! Now I will admit the Virus has gone on for a year now and will be with us for even longer? No matter what is done I read and I respond like it or not I just go with the flow it is not a big thing for a need to start another thread! Just my two cents of virus opinion! Go with the flow.
