One point I would add is to not believe anything is certain until it's been posted in the Royal Gazette. There have been many cases over the past few months where changes have been announced by a government official, from the cabinet or CCSA only for it not to be approved. Recommendations and decisions have been made public only to be reversed at the last minute. Complicating that is that provincial governors have the ability to add greater restrictions than set for the nation.
We should not underestimate the pressure that will come from a situation where other countries are opening up to tourists. The uniforms may feel, they have absolute discretion to control but with the economy tanking and millions out of work it's more than possible that this overly cautious approach will be relaxed quicker than we currently anticipate.

Even at the height of the tourist seasons in better years, there was no competition of note for the charms of our sweethearts-for-rent. The amount of working ladies has always outstripped demand.

Feel sorry for those who dished out between 500,000 to 2,000,000 baht ($16 k to $64 k US) for a 5 year Thai Elite Visa and it's pretty much useless for as long as Thailand denies entry in to their country, which for Americans could be a year or three.

    Not the case

    Socker,

You seem to have been listening to Chinese whispers regarding international tourists. There has been a little expansion in who may enter Thailand from the previous "Thai citizens for repatriation only". However, it really is limited.

    - Medical tourists and their carers who must undergo 14 days quarantine at the hospital. At the end of quarantine and treatment they are allowed to travel around Thailand.

    - Foreign spouses of Thai citizens who hold a marriage visa who must undergo 14 days quarantine at an Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotel facility. The list I saw a few weeks ago had costs ranging from THB 50,000 to 150,000. It should be noted that they take quarantine seriously here. I have not seen details on ASQ but the Thai citizens are confined to their room and their meals are brought to them by staff in full PPE. It is not the self isolation and be a good boy routine that some countries have adopted.

    - Work permit holders and Permanent Residence holders who also have to undergo 14 days ASQ. Permanent Residence is not a matter of where you live full time, but an immigration status for which there are a whole load of hoops to go through.

    - Business / Investor visitors. These do not have to do quarantine, but are restricted to a strict itinerary, not permitted to use public transport and not allowed to visit anywhere not on their itinerary.

Still excluded are Thai Elite Visa holders, Retirement Visa (or Extension of Stay based on retirement) holders, Long Stay (OX). Tourist Visas and Visa Waivers are likely to be a long way down the pecking order as things ease.

There is occasional politicians puff about travel bubbles but realistically very few places likely to be viewed as "safe" origins and those that are may choose to open up to other countries which Thailand would not find acceptable and so the bubble doesn't happen.

Finally, predicting when any easing is likely is impossible here. This is both because the situation in other countries is still evolving and when things do change here it's always at the very last minute. As an example the current visa amnesty put in place for those "trapped" here expires at the end of the month. That leaves a lot of folks here on 1 year tourist visas which require re-entry every 90 days (so called visa runs) uncertain what happens on 1 August. As it stands they would have to do a visa run in August but will not be allowed back in. When will they know? If it is a week before the end of July that the decision is finalised that would be very early for Thailand's bureaucrats.

No Brainer for me to do 14 days quarantine there. Girls would be lining up to see me in my room. They'd bring me good food too.
I think you know already but there is currently 7-11 items required being thrown around by the government then there is the dispute as to which country in the bubble they want to allow into Thailand. The 14 day quarantine is near the bottom of the list after you jump through the near-impossible long list they want.

My general impression was no different than being in a Bangkok go-go bar during normal times except for fewer customers.

I meant to return for another look this week and barfine someone. But got booked up pretty good with a new Thermae girl repeat, some dating site girls and a couple of my regular non P4P girlfriends. Nothing so unusual about that either though.
Well thanks for the intel, it sounds great. Life is close to normal in some locales. Not so in the USA. I hope they do away w the Thai quarantine in the next few months.

    Cheers and happy hunting.

Even with the irresistable, good looking, good talker guy, there is only a tiny percentage of women who would drop panties, fuck and move on with no strings atrached the way a man easily could and would with 1,000's of women if he had the opportunity.

The rest will expect "payment" of some form in exchange for the sex even with that guy; sincerety, attention, a return call, something. Doesn't mean they'll get it. But those who don't will probably feel some degree, however minor, of regret, resentment, something, knowing that they gave away something of notably more value than he gave away and for nothing. It is in the hardwiring of the human female brain.

Even if the risk of pregnancy is near zero thanks to modern science, the female is still assuming much greater risk of disease than the man because she is the receiver of fluids where he is not. And she is certainly going to be aware of that risk with the attractive guy on her (likely accurate) assumption that he has had many other sexual partners before her.

Honestly, Franciscass, I am shocked anyone would need to point that out to you.

And, yeah, ok, I am sure we could find a few women in every community who need to pay men to have sex with them, much less not require payment of any kind whatsoever from a man for sex. wow.

Btw, I am not the only one here saying women expect something in exchange for sex. Goatscrot chimed in with the same point. Not saying payment as in money.
I guess ET we could go backwards and forwards forever on this but go nowhere. You say all women are hookers. I disagree. You can have the last word I'm done.

Your reluctance to accept that stealthing is plain wrong wouldn't have anything to do with?
Yes, that one case in Germany has been mentioned. But he wasn't charged and convicted of rape for stealthing and the final outcome of his sexual assault conviction has yet to be determined since he is appealing it to two higher courts in Germany.

Where did you get that I was reluctant to accept that stealthing is plain wrong? I only said I did not believe the law recognizes it as rape or sexual assault. Now there is one known case still in contention of a conviction of sexual assault for it while how to write such laws is still under consideration. There is certainly no such law on the books in Thailand that I know of.
